23 Best Reward Apps That Actually Pay (Legit & Free to Join)

I tested every site on this list

All 24 apps below are free to join and have paid me, but they earn in different ways: survey apps are quick and simple, GPT apps have more tasks, and a few earn passively in the background. The table shows what you do to earn on each app and whether it also works on your computer.

My top 3 reward apps

#17 PaidViewpoint

PaidViewpoint, in my opinion, is one of the better survey platforms out there for one main reason. It will never offer you a survey you will not qualify for. So, you won’t be wasting your time answering surveys you won’t qualify for.

You can, in theory, join from all countries, but it will only be worth it if you live in an English-speaking country, as you will not find enough surveys in other countries to reach the payout threshold.

Overall, you won’t be invited to answer surveys often. But they do pay a decent amount, so you still won’t have a hard time reaching their threshold of $15 if you live in one of the countries mentioned above. Once you reach it, you can withdraw your earnings conveniently via PayPal.

It offers multiple payment methods, but the most common option that is available in all countries is PayPal. The threshold you will need to reach to withdraw your earnings will depend on the country you live in, but typically, it will be in the $8 to $10 range.

Nielsen Mobile Panel is an app where you can earn passively. All you have to do is install their app, and it will then gather data anonymously and send it to their servers. That’s all there is to it. So, you can just sit back and use your mobile device like you normally would.

In turn, they will pay you for the data you send. The compensation, as well as the payment method, will depend on the country you live in, though. It is available in select countries, but you can click on the join button below to find out if it is available in your country.

How are the opportunities to earn from reward apps?

To put it simply, the opportunities are pretty good, as long as you use legit and effective apps. Each app offers different ways to earn. If it is your first time, there are usually two types of reward apps you will find:

Survey apps

These are the more straightforward apps. All you have to do to earn is answer surveys.

GPT (Get-Paid-To) apps

A bit more complicated, but still very easy to use. They usually offer many ways to earn.

On GPT apps, you can typically earn in these ways:

  • Surveys and quizzes
  • Downloading apps
  • Playing games
  • Watching videos
  • Clicking ads

It is not hard to figure out, but it takes a bit of time to get familiar with them. Both types have their advantages and disadvantages, so which one you go for depends on your preference.

Which type should you pick?

If you do not have a lot of extra time, go for survey apps. If you have a decent amount of free time, GPT apps or a mix of both will be best.

A few apps on this list, like Honeygain and Nielsen Mobile Panel, are a third kind: you install them and they earn passively in the background.

You can earn anytime and anywhere. As long as you have a good data plan, you are all set. All you have to invest is a bit of your time and effort, and once you register, you can start earning right away.

Phone only, or also on your computer?

Most apps on this list also have a website, so you can earn on your laptop or desktop too. A few are different, so check this before you download:

  • Freecash, Swagbucks, ySense, Prime Opinion, HeyCash, PineCone Research, Triaba and Surveyeah work in the app and on a computer.
  • AppKarma has an Android app. On an iPhone, you use it in the Safari browser, and there is no desktop version.
  • Honeygain works on Android, Windows, Mac and Linux. There is no iPhone app, and the Android app is not on Google Play: you download it from inside your Honeygain account.
  • Pawns has an app for Android and iOS for surveys and games, but internet sharing is now only possible from a computer.
  • Nielsen Mobile Panel is a phone app that runs in the background while you use your phone like normal.

The “App and tasks” column in the comparison shows this for every app, and the full review of each app has the details.

How the 23 apps pay youNumber of apps that offer each payout method. Many apps offer more than one.
  • PayPal21 of 23
  • Gift cards20 of 23
  • Bank transfer6 of 23
  • Crypto4 of 23

How to earn the most?

Each app offers different earning opportunities, so you cannot expect to earn the same from each one. But there are a couple of things you can do to get the most out of them:

  • Join around 5 to 7 appsYou get access to more earning opportunities. If you feel you can handle more later on, you can always download more apps.
  • Use all the ways to earn on each appA survey app typically also has a referral program that gives you bonus rewards.
  • Prioritize on GPT appsIf you are short on time, learn which opportunities to go for first. If you have quite a bit of time, just work on every opportunity available.

Remember that this is not a full list of all the apps that pay. I have tested hundreds of free online earning methods, and these are the best apps I have personally tested and think are worth downloading.

How I choose the sites on this list

Mikael

I only put a site on this list when I have tested it myself. I test hundreds of sites every year, and I keep this list updated.

Mikael, founder of PaidFromSurveys

What I look at

  • I tested the app myself and it paid me
  • Legit and free to join
  • Good earning opportunities
  • Worth downloading, in my opinion

What readers ask in the comments

This page has 36 comments since 2024, and I answered 18 of them. These are the questions that come up most, with my answers.

Which app should I use in my country?Asked about 6 times

My answer: If an app does not work for you because of your country, just use other apps instead. I have lists of the best sites for many countries, and a list of the best international sites, which are the ones you should go for.

Which apps pay by bank transfer?Asked about 2 times

My answer: I have a list of sites that pay via bank transfer. But to be honest, very few platforms offer bank transfer in some countries, so it is a good idea to consider other payout options too.

I get few surveys. Are there other ways to earn?Asked about 2 times

My answer: Yes. I have a list of free ways to earn without surveys, and a list of sites where you can earn by watching videos.

Read the comments or ask your own question below.

Ready to start?

All of these sites are free to join. I recommend you join around 5 to 7 apps for a start, so you get enough opportunities without getting overwhelmed.

I keep this list updated, so bookmark this page. Know a site that belongs here, or have a question? Leave a comment below.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best paying rewards app?

My top 3 are Freecash, Branded Surveys and EarnStar. Branded Surveys is one of the highest-paying survey apps, but you can only join it in the US, UK or Canada.

Each app offers different earning opportunities, so you cannot expect to earn the same from each one. That is why I recommend joining around 5 to 7 apps.

Are online rewards legit?

The apps on this list are. They are all legit and free to join, and I have been paid by all of them myself.

More or less all free earning platforms ask you to verify your identity before they pay you. They have to do this to avoid fraud.

Which app is best for real money?

If you want cash and not gift cards, pick an app that pays through PayPal, bank transfer or Venmo. Most apps on this list pay through PayPal. HeyCash pays to PayPal from $1, and Prime Opinion usually processes a payout within 30 minutes.

Use the “Paid via” filter in the comparison to see which apps pay the way you like.

What is the reward app?

A reward app pays you for small tasks. There are two main types: survey apps, where you earn by answering surveys, and GPT (Get-Paid-To) apps, where you can also play games, download apps, watch videos and more.

A few apps, like Honeygain and Nielsen Mobile Panel, earn passively: you install them and they work in the background.

What are the best free rewards programs?

All 24 apps on this list are free to join. All you have to invest is a bit of your time and effort.

If you do not have a lot of time, start with survey apps. If you have more free time, GPT apps or a mix of both work best.

How can I make $100 a day on my phone?

Not with reward apps. They are a way to earn some extra cash next to your other income, not a full income.

To get the most out of them, join around 5 to 7 apps and use all the ways to earn each app offers.

  6. I’ve tried top 1 i.e, in my country, it’s prime opinion. I registered in the platform like 4 months ago, that would be somewhere around in November but surveys availability was very less and even if I got one, most of the time, I didn’t qualify for it so it made me frustrated so I stopped using it from February. Even tried, other top platforms like toluna, swagbucks, ysense, karma, freecash and other sites.. the results were same.
Could you recommend me platforms which pays decent for doing other tasks rather than surveys as surveys are mostly inconsistent.

There’s an exception here which is lifepoints – this site was incredibly good, even though, I was getting few surveys per week like alternative days but 90% of them I got qualified which I liked and got paid twice that is around 6$, which is decent amount for me as others were not even giving me surveys.

P.S: I tried, replying this in your YouTube video but don’t know why it was getting deleted so I thought to do it here.
