Freecash Review 2026: Is It Legit? My Tested Results and Payment Proof

Freecash Rating

Freecash can be a good site to join to earn extra cash, crypto, or gift cards. What makes it a good option is that it pays well, it pays quickly, and it has great payout options.

I have used Freecash since 2020 and have been paid many times. Below is my payment proof, how fast it pays, what it costs, and the problems you should know about before you join.

The short answer

Freecash is legit. It pays, and I have the payment proof to show it. For the same offers, it often pays more than other GPT sites I have tested.

But how much you earn depends mostly on your country. New accounts see only a few offers at first. Expect an ID check before your first withdrawal. Some readers report restricted accounts before big withdrawals. Know this before you invest hours.

What I like
  • In my experience, often pays more than other GPT sites for the same offers
  • Low cashout: $5 for PayPal, gift cards and crypto
  • Many ways to earn: offers, surveys, streaks, promo codes
  • Many payouts are instant after approval
  • Clean website and app on iOS and Android
What I don’t like
  • Few opportunities outside Tier 1 countries
  • Withdrawal fees: $1 + 5% on small PayPal payouts, 7% on crypto
  • Readers report slow, generic support replies
  • New accounts see only a few offers at first
  • Some readers report account restrictions before large cashouts

Is Freecash legit and safe?

Yes, Freecash is legit. I have been paid many times. But legit does not mean problem-free. Here is what you should know before you start.

  • Accounts can get restricted

I have never had an issue with my own account in 6+ years. Freecash has very strict security. Some complaints come from people who used a VPN or tried to cheat and got banned. But I also know honest users who ran into problems. Usually it gets fixed if you did everything honestly and contact support in a proper tone. In some cases it did not, and there I wish the support was more helpful.

  • Expect an ID check

Expect Freecash to verify your identity before your first withdrawal. The method changes often, differs per country, and users with unusual activity get extra checks. This is normal for survey and GPT sites.

  • Few offers for new accounts

Freecash no longer has a separate Lite Mode. But new accounts see only a few offers at first, and you may have to complete one before the full earn page opens. More offers appear as you use the site.

  • Some offers cost money

Most offers are free. Some ask you to deposit or buy something, and usually pay more for it. Read the terms before you start one. You can also cash out to Stake, a crypto casino. Only use that if you know what you are doing. Stake.com is only for adults (18+, or older where your local law says so), and Stake.us is 21+, even though Freecash itself allows users from 16.

  • Never use a VPN

Using a VPN to get offers from another country is fraud. Freecash detects it and can close your account and keep your balance.

My takeI still use Freecash every week and so do thousands of my followers. It has changed a lot over the years – some for the better and some for the worse. The increased withdrawal fees is the change I like the least. But it is still one of the highest paying GPT sites I have tested. I keep retesting it, and I will keep this review updated accordingly.

How you earn on Freecash

There are 6 ways to earn. Offers and surveys make up most of the money. Tap one to read more.

Paid offers and gamesBest earner
Offerwall partners on Freecash

Offerwalls pay you to play games, install apps, or sign up for sites. Every offer shows its coin reward and steps. Miss one step, and you don’t get paid.

When I compared the same offers across the highest-paying GPT sites, Freecash paid more in most cases. This can change with your country and over time. Watch for time-limited bonuses, such as +50% on one offerwall. The “featured offers” section shows the top-paying tasks other users in your country completed.

Paid surveys100–1,000 coins each
Freecash survey partners

Fill in your profile first. Each survey shows its time and reward. You will not qualify for every survey. That is normal. The more surveys you complete, the more high-paying surveys you get.

Referral programUp to 30%, varies by country
Freecash referral program

You earn 5% of what your referrals earn. Freecash pays this, not your referral. The rate goes up to 30% as you refer more. The referral program now differs per country, so what you see in your account can be different.

Daily streak and bonus ladderSeconds a day

Claim free coins once a day. Longer streaks pay more. The bonus ladder lets you risk the coins for a chance to double them. After 7 days, the streak can pay up to $150 if you are lucky. You must be active on the site to use it.

Promo codes and campaignsSmall, fast
Freecash promo code field

Freecash posts codes on Facebook, X and Instagram several times a week. They have limited uses, so be fast. Holiday campaigns often give extra bonuses.

Weekly lotteryLuck only

You get one ticket for every cent you earn. When I tested it, the top prize was $15,000 with 2,500 winners each week. The prizes can change without notice. Do not count on this.

Before you start an offer: the tracking checklist

Most “Freecash didn’t pay me” problems are tracking problems. Tick these off before you start a big offer.

0 of 6 done

Still not credited? Rewards can take up to 72 hours. After that, contact support. Who to contact depends on the offer: Freecash or the offer partner. You can see this for each offer under Profile → Earnings in progress.

How much can you make?

It depends mostly on your country and on which offers and surveys you take. Surveys usually pay 100 to 1,000 coins ($0.10 to $1). Some offers pay a lot more if you pick the right ones.

Freecash shows average user earnings on its site, which suggest many users earn $10+ a day. From my own experience and from what my followers tell me, that is realistic in some countries on some days, and not possible in others.

Freecash is one of the highest-paying GPT sites I have tested. But it is extra money on the side, not a full-time income.

Payout methods, minimums and fees

MethodMinimumFeeSpeed
PayPal$5$1 + 5% on small withdrawals. Less on larger ones.Usually within an hour for me
Crypto: Bitcoin, Litecoin, Dogecoin, Solana, Ethereum$57% + network feeUp to an hour
Stake$0.25None. You often get a bonus.1–2 minutes
Gift cards: Amazon, Apple, Google Play and 40+ moreFrom $5, varies by cardShown before you confirmBy email, often within minutes
Prepaid Visa$55%By email, often within minutes
Bank transfer$55%3–5 days
Venmo (US only)$55%Usually the same day

Your first cashout has a higher minimum: $5 to $20, depending on your country. If your country gets the $10 joining bonus, it is $20. After that, the minimum goes down. Most payouts are $5 to $200 each. Some methods are only in some countries. Freecash no longer pays through AirTM.

My fastest payout arrived 30 seconds after I redeemed it. Minimums and fees are from my own account and from reader reports. Speeds for methods I did not use are what Freecash states on its help pages, checked Sept 30, 2026.

Is Freecash worth it in your country?

Freecash works in most countries, but offers vary a lot. Pick your country to see where Freecash stands on my list of the best sites there.

“… signed up for Freecash but the only offers I can see are to play games. There are never any surveys visible. Is that normal?”

Reader in France, July 2026
Mikael: Yes, sometimes certain survey providers are blocked until you reach certain earnings. But you can give the games a try and see if you like it. There are also other offers you can get paid for in addition to games, so keep that in mind.
Update, October 2026: Freecash has changed this. It now says no earnings level unlocks surveys. Which surveys you see depends on your country and your account.

“The platform has frozen payments to all users, now requiring a verification process that asks for personal information for unclear purposes …”

Long-time user, July 2026
Mikael: Sorry to hear you have had bad experiences. I am writing based on my experiences … I still have A LOT of offers and surveys available on Freecash and they are higher paying than on most other GPT sites.

“… you seriously need to do another review of freecash. It has changed A LOT from back in the day, it is not as good as it used to be …”

Reader, March 2026
Mikael: You are right that there has been some changes, and my review has also been updated with these. But it is still one of the highest paying GPT sites. But as I always say in my content about Freecash, how good it is depends a lot on the country you live in.

Freecash FAQ

Is Freecash a scam?

No. Freecash is a real company that pays its users. I have been paid many times. But some users report restricted accounts, so cash out often and follow the rules.

How old do you have to be?

You must be at least 16 years old to join Freecash.

How fast does Freecash pay?

Many payouts are instant after approval. My fastest payout arrived 30 seconds after I redeemed it. Bank transfers take 3–5 days. The first cashout can take longer because of the ID check.

Do I need to verify my ID?

Yes, expect an ID check before your first withdrawal. The method changes often and differs per country and per user.

Is the Freecash app available?

Yes. The app is on Google Play and the App Store. Both stores removed it for a short time in early 2026. It has been back in both since June 2026.

Can I use Freecash with a VPN?

No. It is fraud, and Freecash can close your account and keep your balance.

Do I pay taxes on Freecash earnings?

In many countries, yes. In the US, rewards income is usually taxable. Read my guide to surveys and taxes.

What is the Freecash referral code?

Use the code paidfromsurveys in the bonus code field.

    • You can use it from Iceland, but I am honestly not sure how many opportunities you will find there. Likely it will be limited and probably a good idea to also join other sites.

If you decide to join, please let me know how it goes.

  1. I used to like your page and was a regular reader, but your review of Freecash is shameful. The platform has frozen payments to all users, now requiring a verification process that asks for personal information for unclear purposes, something no other GPT site requires. They’re even asking users who already had verified accounts.

To make matters worse, there are hardly any offers left, only casinos and similar sites where you have to spend money—no “free money” whatsoever. Both Trustpilot and Reddit are flooded with negative comments and criticism about these changes, with many users having their accounts banned simply for leaving a bad review or claiming rewards they never received.

That you still gave such a high rating to this platform, which is currently literally scamming thousands of users every day, is simply a joke.

    • Sorry to hear you have had bad experiences. I am writing based on my experiences, I have have not had such issues.

I still have A LOT of offers and surveys available on Freecash and they are higher paying than on most other GPT sites. And I know thousand of people who have visited my website are also earning from it daily.

I agree that their support could be better. But as for the many negative reviews, then Freecash is one of the biggest GPT sites, and that also means a lot of people are trying to commit fraud (by for example using VPN) and I have seen MANY times how people try to cheat and then get caught and get angry about that and then leave bad reviews. That is why I never blindly trust TrustPilot or Reddit reviews. They can also very easily be manipulated in both directions.

When that is said, I am not saying that none of the bad reviews are true, and I appreciate you sharing your experiences, and I am sorry to hear that. I am just saying that for me it still works great and has many opportunities. But this does vary A LOT from country to country.
And I agree the support could be improved.

Thanks again for taking the time to share your experiences.

      • I sincerely appreciate your response, and I left this comment because I like your page. I consider you an honest person, but Freecash is going to rip you off, just like it has ripped off many of us. I’ve been using this platform for years, withdrawn hundreds of dollars, and have thousands of referred users—in other words, I’m not a “normal” user of this platform. I know how GPT sites work, and this one has all the hallmarks of ending up being a scam. They ripped me off, they’re ripping everyone off, and it will happen to you too.

By the way, you should check the referral program because the information you have is outdated. They offered a very generous program for years to encourage promotion, incentivizing influencers and other users to recommend it. Once they have the large user base they do, they drastically changed the terms. You can check it anytime you want.

They’re living off their past glories, but freezing accounts, demanding verifications with sensitive information, not a single real person on the support team… these are more than just suspicious signs. You should keep that in mind.

        Kind Regards

        • Thanks for sharing and for the warning.

I have checked out the affiliate program and what is in the article is still the same for me.

Also, I am very aware of scam signs. I have revealed many scams over the years. And I am aware that any good platform can change so I always keep testing and keep an eye on things and update my content accordingly. When that is said, I agree that several things have changes over the past years and definitely not all of it forthe better, and I have also made this clear in the review.

As with all other platforms, I will keep an eye on how it develops.

Again, I appreciate you taking the time to share your concerns.

          Reply
          • Just one quick question, if you’d be so kind as to answer it: What referral tier do you currently have?

I understand if you don’t want to answer. I’m simply trying to understand why, for some of us who have reached a certain high referral level, the conditions have changed (besides freezing withdrawals and requiring re-verification despite being verified accounts that have made dozens of withdrawals), while, as seems to be your case, these conditions haven’t changed. Perhaps it’s because of your referral level, which is why I’m asking.

            Thanks in advance

          • Sorry, but I am not revealing anything abut my earnings publicly. But what exactly has changed for you?

There were some changes a while ago but do not remember exactly what it was. For me, the main changes I have not liked overall is the fees the started introducing for certain payout methods, but that goes for everyone.

  2. Hello, Mikael. First of all, thank you for your excellent site. I’m British living in France and signed up for Freecash but the only offers I can see are to play games. There are never any surveys visible. Is that normal?

    Reply
    • Freecash definitely should have some surveys for France. It might take a few hours to show up. Also, there are some survey providers you will not get access to until you have started earning from other offers, but you should be able to see this inside your dashboard.

And it is always a good idea to join several sites, so you can always find surveys, eve when one might have some at that moment. You can see a list of the best survey sites in France here.

      Reply
      • Thank you for your reply, Mikael. Yes, I have indeed consulted your great list of survey sites in France and have joined Topsurveys, Heycash and Swagbucks. As for Freecash, I consulted their AI chat Frankenbot and he told me that I’m in Lite Mode on Freecash. I have to get up to Level 20 to go to Advanced Mode where access to all surveys, etc., will be unblocked. So, it seems, as the only offers available are games at the moment, I would have to earn around €20 before seeing all surveys. Perhaps if I were to start playing a game, some surveys would be visible. Surveys rather than games are my main thing, though. All the best!

        • Thanks for sharing the update. Yes, sometimes certain survey providers are blocked until you reach certain earnings. But you can give the games a try and see if you like it. There are also other offers you can get paid for in addition to games, so keep that in mind.

If you do not find any games or offers you like, then there are also many sites where you get access to most of the surveys right away.

  3. Sir please I leave in Nigeria those frecash work in Nigeria, do I need VPN or UK number or proxy to do my surveys in Nigeria.

    Reply
    • Using VPN on survey and Get-Paid-To sites is fraud, and you hurt a lot of people and businesses by doing this, and you are basically stealing from the site owners and this can not be justified for any reason, in my opinion. Also, most sites have strict security so they will find out when you use VPN, and they will block you, and you will lose your earnings. So if you want to use these sites, you have to do it honestly and stick to sites that are available in your country.

  5. Sir, you seriously need to do another review of freecash. It has changed A LOT from back in the day, it is not as good as it used to be, which is why it isn’t even recommended on like r/beermoney anymore. I think it deserves a thorough in depth review of what it is now, Vs. what it was before.

But it is still one of the highest paying GPT sites. But as I always say in my content about Freecash, how good it is depends a lot on the country you live in. As for the subreddit you mention, I only listen to people and places that do actual testing themselves. That is hard to find and that is why I actually started my website and YouTube channel.

But yes, it does pay in gift cards. It has a big selection of gift cards to choose from.

Do they send you a physical 1099 by mail, or a printable 1099 by email and how fast do they do this….we need all our forms for our IRS reports by the beginning of February every year.

I assume they do NOT take out the taxes so I would have to have my CPA handle what is needed as well?

  9. Last September I joined Freecash and I would agree its one of the better sites YET they have changed their payout and I don’t see that reflected in your review. As of May this year, they are now taking 5% of the value when you cashout for Visa, MC, PayPal and most all others. The Stake link & offer never works either (as I submit my phone number and nothing happens). Their customer support is AWOL for missing points from Games. Alternatively, Swagbucks has the best customer support and they actually respond.

    • More or less all free earning platforms will ask for verification before they pay you. They have to do this to avoid fraud. So if you do not want to verify your identity, you should honestly not expect to be able to earn from these platforms.

    • Not many sites will offer to pay you just to get people to sign up as they would lose money as people would then not send real quality traffic. And I do not know any worthwhile sites that will offer this. But if you at some point are able to prove you can send a lot of quality traffic you might be able to negotiate with some of the good sites to pay you per sign up. But for a start, you should focus on learning how to send the right people to the right platforms if you long-term want to make money with referrals.

However, in those cases, you will also get a $5 bonus when you complete your first offer, and it is also in countries where the earning potential in general is rgeat, so it will still not take long to reach the threshold.

And once you have cashed out once, the threshold will be low again.

Thanks for making me aware, and I will update the review with this info asap.

I’ve been seeing people comments saying that have been banned for cashing out for no reason and have to do ID verification to be ubanned. Do you think they will banned me for cashing out higher amounts of PayPal? Because I know I don’t VPN and no multiple accounts ?

    • I have cashed out higher amount many times without problems. But any GPT site will ask you for verification to avoid fraud. But if you do everything honestly, that should not be a problem.

What if one invest more time (as a full time job) with three different devices (2 cellphones and a laptop) with several GPTs at the same time? Could works?

    Reply
    • No, this will not work as a full-time income. This is for extra cash. If you want to earn a full-time income online, you need to start an online business, which there is many ways to do, but it takes a lot of time and effort to get results. On GPT sites you can earn right away. But which is best depends on your personal preferences.

    • About the joining bonus, you will get a free case you need to redeem yourself once you are inside. You can do this through a button at the top of the screen.

As for ways to earn, there are many paid offers you can do where you do not have to spend money. There are also a lot of available surveys but how many depends on the country you live in.

So i submitted my government issued id and guess what? they deemed it as fake id and i was banned from the offerwall without the benefit of appeal. it was a government issued id here in the Philippines so I was really upset how come they say it’s fake? now i’m close to just forget about it and delete this app. smh…

  25. I’ve been using both of the popular GPT apps/websites.

There was a double points earning special on Swagbucks so I earned more there in the same time span.

It took longer to get to double digits in earnings. It only happened after I got paid for Pocoha Level 1 30 mins which bump me from around $3 to $10, now I sit at $12.

I am 53 so I get rejected from surveys a ton on both sites. I’m not much of a mobile game player but it looks like that has the highest potential to earn on Freecash.

So to make money a little faster you would have to also do paid sign ups and trials as well.

Overall I like FC and will continue to use it.

Frankly I really don’t have much choice.

But the USD 250 is very confusing because according to your video its NOT a guarantee but probability. Probably you could have included the other options that one could win. BUT the question is : is it automatic that once you get into the site then you be awarded any amount of money ranging from USD 0.5 to 250 USD? Why? This makes it simplistic cos why are you being rewarded for joining a survey site?

How about Kenya? Does it work?
Could you simplify so that one just clicks on a link then proceeds with clear steps

I want to participate in the surveys for many reasons cos my opinion counts( I am older and several of us are usually excluded and our opinions left out)

    • I explain exactly how the bonus opportunity works and what you need to do to get it in the video you are referring to and also in the review above.

As for joining bonuses, many sites offer this to give people a good start and motivate them to keep earning.

You should be able to join from Kenya, but you will not find many opportunities there, to be honest. And in general, you will not find many surveys in your country.

  41. Okay, I can agree with your review.

I’ve been with that site for a little over a month now, and so far so good. I gained two $5 Amazon GCs (I prefer this method personally) and they even have ACH transfers. I recently used that particular payment method and it worked well. I’m glad they have this because I’m not touching PayPal ever again, not after what they did to me, but I’m not going into that.

I never touch surveys as I don’t exactly have thick skin for those. I may never make any of the leaderboards, but whatever. The daily bonus is a nice touch, though, where I can max out at 100 bonus coins daily. One can double the bonus up to nine times, but I usually don’t bother.

At the end of the day, I have no regrets joining.

But I know they have strict security, but it is better to contact their support through their Discord channel if you have issues like this.

I cannot say why you might be blocked but one reason could be if you have given inconsistent answers to try to qualify for more surveys, if you have rushed through surveys, or if you have had a VPN activated while taking surveys.

      Hope you get it solved.

At its homepage (I’m not sure if that’s the word you should call to refer to the page that shows up when you search only its URL’s domain name (e.g. “freecash.com”) as typed), they present you two numbers that they claim to be the “Average time until user makes your first cashout” and the “Average money earned by users yesterday”. Can you tell us how much do you trust these claims based on your first experiences in this site as a tester and reviewer of it?

  50. I have just one thing to warn about this site. Despite not being a complete scam, they do do some very scammy things.
I came to this site from an external offerwall where I had to make 1k points and redeem them. Sounds too easy? Yes here’s the catch. My email mysteriously would not activate. So I contacted support. They then told me it was a “bug” to make a new account and they would transfer the credits over. If you aren’t a fool you would know this is no bug. From that point on I knew that I wasn’t gonna be seeing my offer from them completed. After doing this and redeeming the 1k, I never did end up getting that offer credited. Whether its the switched accounts or the points earned stat not actually being 1k because of the transfer (btw, they 100% could have changed that to match hmm wonder why they didn’t)
Any attempts to contact them about this has been ghosted. They also sometimes ban people before they can withdraw. This is how sites like this maintain their profit margin, they make money off 100% of their users but then selectively cheat out some. They have elaborate systems to make sure you don’t see 100% what you’re due, leaving them with money in their pockets

    Reply
    • Thanks for sharing your experiences.

But in general, you are very wrong that this is how this type of sites make money. They definitely do not deliberately cheat members. When they have long-term loyal members that keep earning, they also keep earning. And for sites like this, it takes a lot of effort to get new members so they are definitely interested in keeping them active.
They way their system works is that when you make money, they make money.

And what you are saying would be outright illegal and sites like this cannot risk that.

I cannot say what happened in this specific case, but just wanted to give a bit of info about how it in general works.

      Reply
      • With all due respect, I know what I experienced. If what happened to be was actual legitimate business and their system actually bugged, staff would be working with me to resolve the issue and not pretending I’m not contacting support and shill members wouldn’t be dming me telling me that its a “system bug” with no fix.

        Reply
        • I am not questioning your experience but saying that your assumption of how sites like this in general work is wrong. I know how difficult it is for them to attract members so they would never deliberately make a plan to cheat honest members. That would be bad business for them also.
