Is Scrambly Legit or a Scam? (Full Review + Rating)

Scrambly Rating

Scrambly is a decent GPT platform. However, it doesn’t offer a lot of earning opportunities, so you still won’t be able to earn a lot from it even though it pays quite well.

I tested Scrambly to see if trying out apps and games there is worth your time. It is legit and pays from $1, but there are few opportunities and it only works in a few countries. Below is what I found, and which sites I recommend instead.

Partially Tested Re-tested Oct 2026

Legit with a $1 cashout, but few opportunities and few countries

Try apps and games for points, cash out from $1. Only the US, Japan and South Korea.

Good for you ifYou live in the US, Japan or South Korea and want a secondary app with a very low cashout.
Skip it ifYou live anywhere else, you want a main site to earn from, or you do not want to share a selfie and your ID.

The short answer

Scrambly is legit. It is a Get-Paid-To (GPT) site that rewards you for trying out apps and games, and you can cash out from just $1.

But it does not offer a lot of earning opportunities, so you won’t earn a lot from it, even though it pays quite well per app. It is only available in the US, Japan and South Korea. At best, it is a secondary platform.

What I like
  • Offers payment via PayPal
  • Low payout threshold: $1
  • Decent points per app or game
  • Easy app without annoying pop-up ads
What I don’t like
  • Limited earning opportunities
  • Only available in select countries
  • Android app only; iPhone users use the mobile site
  • You need a Google account, a selfie and your ID

My experience with Scrambly

I went through Scrambly’s apps and games, its surveys, the referral program, the payout options and the support. This is what I looked at, and what I did not test.

Is Scrambly legit and safe?

Yes, Scrambly is legit, because you can really earn from it. But that does not automatically make it worth your time. Here is what you should know.

  • Few opportunities

Scrambly has a limited number of opportunities for a GPT site. Once you have earned all the points from an app or game, you can never earn from it again. And there were not a lot of surveys when I tested it.

  • A selfie and your ID

After you register, you have to provide a selfie and a photo of your government-issued ID before you can earn.

  • A reader reports a suspended account

In December 2024, a reader wrote that Scrambly suspended her account for “suspicious” activity after she played games and cashed out to PayPal, and would not lift it. I have not been able to check this myself.

  • Surveys unlock after your first payout

You can only take surveys after you complete your profile and make your first payout.

My takeScrambly is a decent GPT platform, in my opinion. It offers a convenient payment method and a low payout threshold. However, it doesn’t offer a lot of earning opportunities, so you still won’t earn a lot from it even though it pays quite well. If you join, do so with the proper expectations: at best, it is a secondary platform.

Scrambly has few opportunities. The top sites in your country give you more ways to earn.

How you earn on Scrambly

There are 3 ways to earn. Apps and games are the main one. Tap one to read more.

Apps and gamesAround 5,000 to 10,000 points each
Apps and games on Scrambly

Open the mobile app and go to the Earn & Save section. Pick an app or game, read the instructions, install it and do everything the instructions say. You need a mobile device for this. There is a Desktop option, but I never found a desktop game to play.

Each app or game has a maximum number of points. Once you have earned them all, you can never earn from that app or game again, so move on to the next one.

Paid surveysNot a lot available
Scrambly surveys

Surveys only become available once you have completed your profile and made your first payout. Scrambly has no surveys of its own: you pick a partner survey panel, set up your profile there, and take its surveys.

Each survey has a qualifying process, so you will not qualify for all of them. There were not a lot of surveys when I tested Scrambly, so do not expect to earn from them regularly.

Referral program10% commission
Scrambly referral program

Share your invite link. When someone signs up through it, they get a total of 600 points, and you get a 10% commission every time they earn. It only works if the people you invite are interested in earning.

How much can you make?

Based on what I found while testing Scrambly, you won’t earn a lot from it, because it has a limited number of opportunities for a GPT site. It pales in comparison to the most popular GPT sites around today.

It pays a decent amount: you can mostly earn around 5,000 to 10,000 points per app or game. But with so few opportunities, the earning potential is relatively low. It can serve as a decent secondary site.

Payout methods and minimum

MethodMinimum
PayPal1,000 points ($1)
Gift cards1,000 points ($1)
Prepaid Visa cardShown in the app

The $1 threshold is very low, so you can withdraw rather quickly. If you want more sites like this, see the fastest-paying sites with a low minimum payout.

  1. Scrambly is a fraud…you can only cash so much money until they suspend your account for “suspicious” activity. All I did was play games and cash to pay pal. There was no “suspicious” activity going on except that I played too much.
I receive a message from Italy saying they cannot “unsuspend” my account.
    All BS!!! Fraud! Not legit!!!
