I tested UserHappy, a user testing site that pays you to record yourself while you test websites. It is legit and pays a decent amount per test, but there are not a lot of projects. Below is what I found, and which user testing sites I recommend instead.
Legit and decent pay per test, but few projects
Usually $10 for a 20 to 30 minute test, no payout threshold. But you cannot count on projects, and you need a computer.

The short answer
UserHappy is a legit user testing site. You earn money by testing websites while you record your screen and speak your mind. It pays a decent amount per test, usually $10, and there is no payout threshold.
But there are not a lot of projects, so you cannot really depend on earning from it regularly. You also need a computer with Google Chrome. It can be a decent secondary user testing site, if you adjust your expectations.
- Offers payment via PayPal
- No payout threshold
- Limited earning opportunities

Is UserHappy legit and safe?
Yes, UserHappy is legit, since you can earn money from it. But that does not make it worth your time. Here is what you should know before you join.
- Few projects
You have no control over how many projects you get. From what I have observed, there are not a lot of them, so you are not likely to earn regularly.
- Computer and Chrome only
UserHappy says you can test mobile apps, but it has no app, and mobile Chrome does not support extensions. You need a computer with Google Chrome to do tests.
- You have to speak your mind
The extension records your screen and what you say, so you need a microphone and a quiet room. If you are not comfortable speaking your mind, UserHappy is not for you.
- A fee on PayPal payouts
PayPal payouts have a 2.9% transaction fee, so you do not receive the full amount. Gift cards are the alternative.
- Where you live matters
UserHappy does not say which countries it works in. It is available more or less worldwide, but there are usually more projects for people in the US, Canada and the UK.
My takeUserHappy is not a bad user testing site, but it is not that good either. I like that it pays a decent amount per testing project you finish, but there are not a lot of projects available, so you cannot really depend on earning from it regularly. It can serve as a decent secondary user testing site, if you adjust your expectations.
UserHappy has few projects. These user testing sites have better earning potential.

There is only one way to earn: testing projects.
Testing projectsUsually $10
Log in to the member dashboard to see if there are projects. If you enabled it during sign-up, you also get an email when there is a project for you. Click a project to see the instructions, the deadline and what it pays, then accept it to start.
Before your first project, install the UserHappy Google Chrome extension. UserHappy says you cannot do tests in another browser. The extension shows the questions you have to answer and records your screen and what you say. Work in a quiet room, answer the questions directly, and show what you are doing.
When you are done, submit your recording. UserHappy does not say how long the review takes; in my experience, it usually takes a couple of days. If your submission is accepted, you receive the promised reward. Most projects take 20 to 30 minutes.

How much can you make?
It depends on how many testing projects you can finish, and you have no control over how many you are offered. From what I have observed, there are not a lot of projects available.
You usually earn $10 per project, and a project takes around 20 to 30 minutes. Longer or more complicated projects pay significantly more.
So the earning potential per test is relatively decent, but do not expect to earn from UserHappy regularly.
