ThePinkPanel Review: Worth It? (An Insider’s Look)

ThePinkPanel Rating

ThePinkPanel is not a bad product testing platform. However, this is not the most ideal option because the earning opportunities are quite limited.

I looked at ThePinkPanel to see if its beauty product tests and research studies are worth your time. It is legit, but there are not many studies, and most rewards are products or gift cards. Below is what I found, and which sites I recommend instead.

The short answer

ThePinkPanel is legit. You can get free beauty products and earn rewards from its research studies.

But the earning opportunities are quite limited. You can only do an at-home product test or get free samples once every six months, surveys pay little, and only focus groups pay in cash. It is only really for women who regularly use beauty products.

What I like
  • Free to join
  • Decent rewards from product testing opportunities
  • You try unreleased beauty products and share your feedback
  • Rewards come after you complete a study
What I don’t like
  • Limited earning opportunities
  • Not all earning opportunities offer cash rewards
  • Product tests and free samples only once every six months
  • Only for women in the US, sometimes Canada

My experience with ThePinkPanel

I went through the ThePinkPanel sign-up and looked at its research opportunities, rewards and support. This is what I looked at, and what I did not test.

Is ThePinkPanel legit and safe?

Yes, ThePinkPanel is legit. You can get free products and earn rewards from its studies. But you cannot earn much from it. Here is what you should know.

  • Few chances to earn

You are only invited to an at-home product test once every six months, and the same goes for free samples. Focus groups are not very common either.

  • Mostly no cash

Product tests and surveys reward you with products or gift cards for certain beauty products. Only focus groups, online and in person, pay in cash.

  • Answer the sign-up survey honestly

The panel uses your answers to decide which studies to send you. Honest answers give you the studies that fit you.

  • Watch your inbox

There is no member dashboard to log in to. Every invitation comes by email, so check your inbox regularly.

My takeIn my opinion, ThePinkPanel is not a bad product testing platform. However, if you are looking for a platform where you can regularly test products or earn rewards, this is not the most ideal option because the earning opportunities are quite limited.

ThePinkPanel has few studies and pays mostly in products. These sites give you more ways to earn.

How you earn on ThePinkPanel

There is one way to earn: research studies. They come in several types. Tap one to read more.

At-home product tests and free samples$25 to $100 in gift cards
ThePinkPanel research opportunities

You test beauty products at home and keep the product. Sometimes you also earn gift cards for certain beauty products, worth around $25 to $100.

You are only invited to a product test once every six months, and the same goes for free samples. ThePinkPanel does this so all members get a chance to try products.

Online surveysMost common, low pay

Surveys are the most common type of study. They work like the paid surveys on survey sites and pay in gift cards. The rewards are significantly less than for product tests. Use a computer to answer them quickly.

Focus groupsAround $100 in cash

Focus groups, online or in person, usually pay the most, around $100 each, and they are the only studies that pay in cash. They are not very common, and the website gives little information about them. If you get an invite, take the opportunity.

Before/after photosVaries

Some studies ask you for before and after photos of a product you use. All studies are about beauty products, so ThePinkPanel is only really for women who regularly use them.

How much can you make?

It depends on the type of study. Product tests can earn you around $25 to $100 worth of gift cards for certain beauty products. Surveys pay significantly less.

The biggest limit is how few studies there are. Product tests and free samples come once every six months. Surveys are more frequent, but they don’t pay much. That is why its overall earning potential isn’t that great.

The best benefit, in my opinion, is that you get to try unreleased beauty products and share your feedback, so you influence them before they hit the market.

How each study pays

StudyRewardWhen
At-home product testsYou keep the product. Sometimes a gift card for certain beauty products. After you complete the study
Online surveysGift cardsAfter you complete the study
Focus groups (online and in person)Cash, around $100After you complete the study

The website gives little information about how focus groups pay. From my experience with other sites, focus groups usually pay via PayPal or bank transfer. If you want more sites that pay in cash, see the top sites that pay via PayPal.
