I checked out Home Tester Club to see if it really gives away free products. It is legit, but you get products, not cash, and there is no guarantee you will ever be picked. Below is how it works, and which sites I recommend if you want to earn money.

Legit free products, but no cash and no guarantee
You apply to test products and keep them if you are picked. No cash, no gift cards, and it takes patience.

The short answer
Home Tester Club is a legit product-testing site. It does give away free products to test. But you have to do something in return, and it is not necessarily easy to get the free stuff.
It does not offer cash rewards or gift cards. The products are the payment. And there is no guarantee you will qualify for free products just because you apply. If you want to earn extra cash, it is not the right fit for you.
- You can get products for free
- An extensive library of product reviews by members
- Available in 27 countries
- Mobile-friendly website
- No cash rewards, not even gift cards

Is Home Tester Club legit and safe?
Yes, Home Tester Club is legit. It does give out free products. But that does not make it a way to earn money. Here is what you should know before you join.
- No guarantee you get anything
There is no guarantee that you will ever qualify for free products. Some visitors here on my website have reported that they are never able to get any, so it might take patience to get any free samples.
- Products, not money
Home Tester Club does not offer cash rewards or gift cards. You do not get paid to test products; the products are the payment.
- You must meet every requirement
At the end of the application survey, you see what you must do if you are picked: usually a survey, a photo or video of you testing the product, and sometimes a post on your social media. Do everything you are asked, or you may miss out on future tests. If you do not feel comfortable with the requirements, do not apply for that product.
- It takes time
If you are picked, the product usually arrives 1 to 3 weeks after the email. Members also go weeks or months without a test.
My takeIf you are looking for a site to earn extra cash, Home Tester Club is not the right fit. It does not offer that kind of opportunity. But if you just want free products, it can be worth joining, as long as you have the right expectations. The real value, in my opinion, is the product reviews by other members: you can use them as a shopping guide before you buy something.
How Home Tester Club works
There is one way to get something: product tests. Members’ reviews are a bonus you can use as a shopping guide.
Product testingFree products
The process has four phases. You apply for a test. If your application is accepted, you receive the product, usually within 1 to 3 weeks. Then you test it. When you are done, you usually answer an online survey and do a few other things.
When you log in, you see all the products you can test. Click one you are interested in, and you are taken to a survey-like page with questions about the product. It is a little strange that you do not first see a page that describes the sample, as on most product testing sites.
At the end of the survey, you see the requirements you need to meet if you qualify. Take note of them. After that, you wait. If you are chosen, you receive an email.
Member product reviewsA shopping guide
Every review or test a member does is saved on the website. If you are interested in buying a product, you can read what other members thought of it first. In my opinion, this is the real value of Home Tester Club.
What can you get from it?
Technically, you will not earn from Home Tester Club. You only receive free products. But getting free products can save you money.
It is one of the few types of reward sites where you receive the “payment” first, before you do the work.
If you prefer to earn cash or gift cards, check out the top Get-Paid-To sites instead. For more product testing sites, see my product testing guide.
Who can join Home Tester Club?
Home Tester Club is available in Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, the Netherlands, New Zealand, the Philippines, Portugal, Singapore, Spain, South Africa, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, the UK, the USA and Vietnam. You must be at least 18 years old.
Every country has its own platform. For example, if you live in Singapore, you test products that are sold in Singapore. Home Tester Club has added a few countries since I first tested it, so it might open up for you later.
You sign up with Facebook or your own login details. Then you answer a profile survey, so the site knows which products you are eligible for, and click the activation link in the email you receive.

Opinions are split. Some readers got many products, from shampoo to a microwave. Others rarely or never got picked, and long waits are common.
The steps to join are in this review. I do not have a referral link for Home Tester Club.
“It could take a while for you to get accepted for anything so you have to have patience. So far I have gotten Nurf guns, shampoo, lotions, childrens toys, a microwave and recently, an Iced coffee machine, I think it is worth it.”
Mikael: Thanks for sharing your experiences.
“I’ve been a tester for years but rarely get to test products. I think my age is against me. They prefer young mums with children.”

DO YOU HAVE REFERRAL LINK?
No, I don’t. But thanks for asking.
I love Home Tester Club! I have been doing for a while now, about 2 years and have received a few things. It could take a while for you to get accepted for anything so you have to have patience. So far I have gotten Nurf guns, shampoo, lotions, childrens toys, a microwave and recently, an Iced coffee machine, I think it is worth it.
Thanks for sharing your experiences.
I would like to join and become a member.
I explain everything about how to get started in the review above.
I’ve been a tester for years but rarely get to test products. I think my age is against me. They prefer young mums with children.
Thanks for sharing.
Actually, you will not receive any free products to test. All free products are reserved for friends and family of the people who run the site. If you are very lucky you might receive a free tube of toothpaste to try but that is about all.
The site is not a scam but it is a steaming pile of crap.
Thanks for sharing your experiences about this.
What you are saying is completely false Zippy.. almost a million individuals have had products sent to them for testing at home .. comletely free.
Sorry you are not one of them, maybe you just did not qualify
I don’t have any friends or family who work there. I have received a Tefal instant pot and airfryer worth £300, I also have received sanctuary products to test and St Tropez tanning products. You have to keep registering for products and your points do go up but you will not qualify for everything
Oh Wow! Congrats!
How long did it take for you to get your first free product? I just joined a few weeks back but haven’t heard anything yet (i keep registering for 95% of the things) Thanks 🙂
Zippy… don’t leave a false review because you are salty. I have been a member of Home Tester Club since 2013 and have tested and reviewed so many products I cannot count it on my fingers and toes. There have been times that I get products every few weeks and times that I go months and months without being able to test a product. You need to consistently leave reviews of products you have tried and register for every survey that comes through. I am not a friend or family member of anyone associated with HTC. My sister, cousins wives and colleagues if mine all participate and sometimes you get and sometimes you don’t. I am sure you went into this impatient and just wanting free things, you need patience and consistency because I can tell you now that it is not a load of crap.
Not true. I get stuff to test all the time as do several people I know. My friends just got a whole new patio set. Trust me is small town Ohio people don’t know anyone up that corporate ladder.
E acho isso bem legal e queria muito testa
Let me know how it goes if you decide to give it a go.
