Testapic Review – Is it Worth It? (Learn the Truth)

Testapic Rating

Testapic is a decent user testing site. You get paid a decent amount for the testing jobs you complete. However, you can’t really expect to earn money on a regularly because it doesn’t offer that many opportunities to earn.

I tested Testapic to see if it is worth your time. It is a legit user testing site that pays rather well per test, but there are not many tests, and you need €28 to cash out. Below is what I found, and which sites I recommend instead.

Legit user testing site, but few tests and a high threshold

Tests pay €5 to €20 each. You get paid by bank transfer once you reach €28.

Good for you ifYou want a secondary site, you are good at speaking your mind, and you can be patient.

The short answer

Testapic is a legit user testing site. You get paid for testing websites and apps, and the pay per test is quite competitive: €5 to €20.

But you can’t expect to earn regularly from it, because there are not many tests. You need €28 before you can withdraw, and you are paid by bank transfer only. PayPal is no longer an option.

What I like
  • Pays rather well per test
  • Paid straight to your bank account
  • Easy app for Android and iOS
  • Email alerts when a test is available
  • Usually a decision on your test within a couple of days
What I don’t like
  • Limited earning opportunities
  • High payout threshold
  • No PayPal anymore
  • Tests get rejected if you miss steps or have background noise

My experience with Testapic

I signed up as a tester and looked at how the tests work, the app, the browser extension and the payout. This is what I looked at, and what I did not test.

Is Testapic legit and safe?

Yes, Testapic is legit. You get paid to do user testing tasks. But that does not mean it is worth your time. Here is what you should know.

  • Not many tests

There’s no limit to how many tests you can do, but you can’t expect several tests a week. You can consider yourself lucky if you get more than one per week.

  • A high payout threshold

You need €28 before you can withdraw. With few tests, reaching that takes patience.

  • Submissions can be rejected

Miss an important step, or record with a lot of background noise, and Testapic rejects your submission. You don’t get paid for it.

  • One reader waited months for a payout

In 2023, a US reader reached the minimum, could not use the normal redemption process, and had no reply from Testapic almost 2 months later. Testapic now pays by bank transfer only.

My takeTestapic is a decent user testing site, in my opinion. You get paid a decent amount for the testing jobs you complete. However, you can’t expect to earn money regularly from it because it doesn’t offer that many opportunities to earn. It can serve as a decent secondary site, but temper your earning expectations a bit.

How you earn on Testapic

There is 1 way to earn: testing jobs, in two types. Tap one to read more.

Survey TestsSimpler, pays less
Testapic testing jobs

Available tests show up in your dashboard, and Testapic also emails you. Each test shows if it is paid, how much it pays, and whether you do it on a mobile or a PC.

In a Survey Test, you navigate a website or app, answer questions and write comments. It is the simpler of the two types.

Video/Audio TestsMore effort, pays more
Testapic browser extension

You speak aloud while you navigate a website, so you record your screen and/or use a microphone. On a PC, install the browser extension first; it records your screen and audio. Mobile tests use the Testapic app.

It is more complicated, but more profitable, because it takes longer. Work in a quiet room: Testapic does not approve submissions with a lot of background noise.

Read the instructions carefully. If you miss important steps, your submission is rejected and you don’t get paid. In my experience, you usually hear within a couple of days whether your test was approved.

How much can you make?

A testing job pays €5 to €20. Tests that take more time and effort pay more. That rate is quite competitive, in my opinion.

But there won’t always be tests, so it is hard to predict what you can earn. Your location matters too: there are more tests in the US, UK, Canada and some European countries.

Overall, the earning potential is still relatively low, even though Testapic pays quite well for every test.

A US reader reached the minimum, could not use the normal redemption process, and still had no reply almost 2 months later.

  1. I have been with Testapic for a couple years now. I finally about 2 mins ago hit the cash out min. I was super excited because I worked really hard on the tests I did and I was ready to be compensated for them. Well I live in the US so I can not proceed with the normal redemption process (????) but I could receive it via PayPal. Ok, fine, that’s my normal process route anyways but there definitely should be a disclaimer when you sign up stating this issue, just fyi. Anyways, fast forward, it’s now been almost 2 mos and I can not get them to respond other than to send me emails asking me to do other studies!!!??? Really????!!!! Give me my money!!!!
