G.Round rewards you with points for testing unreleased PC games. I tested it myself. It is legit and the games are fun, but you earn points for gaming gear and gift cards, not cash, and the rewards are low. Below is what I found, and which sites I would pick if you want cash.
Fun for gamers, but low rewards and no cash
Points for testing unreleased PC games, redeemed for G.Round gear or gift cards. Cash only through invite-only paid tests.

The short answer
G.Round is legit. You really earn points for testing unreleased video games, and the games are exclusive to G.Round.
But it is not a way to earn cash. You redeem points for G.Round gear or Amazon and Steam gift cards, and the rewards are a bit low: you need to test around 10 games for the cheapest reward. There is a paid testing program, but only by invitation. Almost all games need a Windows PC.
- Features fun and interesting video games you can play
- Exclusive access to games before they are released
- Available worldwide
- Points for reviews and surveys are credited instantly
- Fairly low rewards
- No cash rewards, except in an invite-only paid program
- Not a lot of opportunities to earn for Mac users
- You need a computer that can run the games

Is G.Round legit and safe?
Yes, G.Round is legit. You really earn points for completing the tests. These are the catches.
- No cash for most testers
You earn points for gaming gear and gift cards. The paid testing program is closed and only for users invited after leaving quality feedback on public tests.
- Low rewards for your time
A game pays up to 85 points, and the cheapest reward costs 800 points. So you need to test around 10 games, at the maximum points, before you can redeem anything.
- Windows only, in practice
Almost all games run only on Windows, and your computer must meet each game’s requirements. On a phone, you can only check your points and redeem rewards.
- Little help for testers
The FAQ only answers questions from game developers. For help, you join G.Round’s Discord server.
My takeG.Round is not for everyone. If you are a gamer, the exclusive early access to games is the real value, and you can treat the rewards as a bonus. If you want to earn cash, see the alternatives below.
How you earn on G.Round
There are two ways to earn. Tap one to read more.
Testing gamesUp to 85 points per game
Click “Testing” in the dashboard to see the games you can test. First install the G.Round launcher, which opens the games, and check each game’s system requirements.
You earn points only after you have played for the time the developer asks. Then you submit a review and answer a survey, and get points for both, plus bonus points if the developer likes your feedback. Sometimes you also get a localized survey, depending on whether the developer wants feedback from your country.
Every game has a testing period, so do the games that are about to end first. When I tested the site, there was a decent number of games.
Paid tests (by invitation)Cash, invite only
G.Round also has a paid testing program where you earn cash. It is closed and only for users who have left quality feedback on previous public tests. G.Round’s team calls it the “Supporters Program”.
It is not a reliable way to earn cash, in my opinion, and the site gives little information about how to get in.

How much can you make?
You will not really earn money here, unless you are invited to the paid tests. You earn points, and how many depends on how many games you test.
A game pays up to 85 points, so you need at least 10 games for the cheapest reward. That takes a significant amount of time. But there is always a decent number of games to test, and the games are fun and exclusive. If you are a gamer, that is the best value you get from G.Round.
How G.Round rewards you
Points for a review or a survey reach your account instantly. Bonus points for good feedback come later.
| Reward | Points needed | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| G.Round tumbler | 800 points | The cheapest reward |
| Gaming keyboard, mouse, mousepad | More than 800 points | G.Round branded |
| Amazon and Steam gift cards | Shown in the store | Digital rewards |

Who tested G.Round for this review
If you have any comments, questions, or experience with G.Round, I would love to hear from you in a comment below.
Dear Mikael,
I am Mingu from G.Round.
First of all, Thank you for the thoughtful review.
We would like to request a few updates as there have been some changes since the article was written.
First, the point about there being no cash-equivalent rewards is now only partially true. As you mentioned, users who play publicly available games and leave reviews and surveys are awarded G.Points, the platform’s mileage points. These points can be accumulated and used to purchase products or digital goods (such as Amazon or Steam gift cards) from the store in the platform site.
In addition, since the second half of 2023, we’ve introduced a Paid Test program. This is a closed program, available to users who have left quality feedback on previous public tests. Called the “Supporters Program,” it invites users to participate in closed paid tests after they’ve played a certain number of games and passed an internal review. Compensation may vary depending on the case, but generally users receive around USD 30 for one hour of playtime. If selected for a 1:1 interview, they can receive an additional USD 20–30.
This is one of the most significant updates since your original article, and we’d really appreciate it if this information could be reflected accordingly.
If you would like more details, feel free to reach out to us.
Thanks for making me aware. I do my best to give my audience as much and updated info as possible, so I appreciate this. I will look into this asap and update the review accordingly.
Hey Mikael,
Bram from G.Round here.
I just wanted to correct a point in your review where you state the following:
“The points will be credited to your G.Round account within 30 days after you’ve completed the survey.”
Review and Survey points get distributed instantly after leaving a review or filling in the survey!
Additional bonus points that you may earn when leaving good feedback, can be credited later.
The platform currently is in Beta stage and has been here for almost 3 years, so we’re always looking to improve our store with products and so forth, but as you might understand; this takes some time 😀
Next to that we do also have a paid Private Playtesting program with G.Round that is invite-only.
Top users will have the ability to get invited or referred via others in the Private Playtesting Program!
Feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions about G.Round to update your review.
Thanks for the feedback. I always appreciate when platforms reach out like this, and it is a sign of caring about their members. I will make sure to update the review with this info asap.
Thanks
Dear Mikael,
I am a 16 year old guy living in the Netherlands. Do you know how to make a little extra cash in my situation? I am not looking for survey sites, because I am blind, and I often find that there are a lot of surveys that aren’t accessible to me. I would like to hear from you.
Kind regards,
Jesse
