CryptoTab Review 2026: Does It Pay? My Test Results and Warning

CryptoTab Rating

If you want to earn by mining easily, CryptoTab used to be an option. However, I have had bad experiences as they still owe me more than $200, and it seems I will never get that money, and therefore I strongly recommend staying away from it.

Warning: CryptoTab stopped paying me

CryptoTab paid me in the past. Then it stopped processing my withdrawals. One payout arrived after almost 9 months, the next one never came, and support stopped replying to my messages. I have heard from many people on my website and YouTube channel who also have not been paid. I strongly recommend staying away from it.

CryptoTab is a browser and app that claim you can mine Bitcoin just by installing them. I used it, and it paid me in the past, until it stopped processing my withdrawals. Below is what happened, how it works, and which apps I recommend instead.

The short answer

CryptoTab is a Chromium browser and an Android app that mine Bitcoin while you use your device. It paid me in the past. But then it stopped processing my withdrawals, and its support stopped replying.

One payout came after almost 9 months. The next one never arrived. Many readers on this review report the same: withdrawals stuck on “reconfirmed” for months. In my experience, it is not worth your time. I strongly recommend staying away from it.

What I like
  • You do not have to do anything to mine
  • Available globally
  • A 10-level referral program
What I don’t like
  • My last withdrawal was never processed, and the money seems to be lost
  • Many complaints from other people who have also not been paid
  • Support stopped replying to my messages
  • It takes a lot of patience to earn
  • Higher mining speeds cost more electricity and battery life
  • My antivirus blocked it when I installed it

My experience with CryptoTab

I installed CryptoTab, mined with it, and was paid several times. Then it stopped paying me. This is what I did myself, and what I did not test.

Is CryptoTab legit and safe?

CryptoTab paid me in the past, so you can potentially earn with it. But I no longer trust it, and it is not a platform I recommend. Here is why.

  • Withdrawals that are never processed

I could request my withdrawal as before, but the Bitcoin never arrived because CryptoTab did not process the payment. One payout came after almost 9 months. The next one, to the NC Wallet they recommend for faster payments, never came at all.

  • Support stops replying

Support told me that payments can sometimes be delayed and that they would try to send it as soon as possible. After I wrote to them several more times over 2 months, they stopped replying. My first contact attempt only got an automatic reply that referred me back to the FAQ.

  • Many readers have not been paid

Readers on this review report withdrawals stuck on “reconfirmed” or “in process” for months, from 2023 up to May 2026. Several of them were paid at first and then suddenly stopped getting paid.

  • It costs electricity and battery life

A higher mining speed mines more, but your computer uses more electricity and runs hotter. It can also shorten the battery life of the devices you use for this. On a phone, mining can drain your battery fast.

  • Paid boosters

CryptoTab sells boost packages to raise your mining speed. Some readers bought them and then could not withdraw. Do not pay CryptoTab anything.

  • My antivirus blocked it

When I installed the browser, my antivirus program blocked it at first and said it could be harmful. I am not saying it will harm your computer, but you should know about it.

My takeI was paid by CryptoTab many times when I first started using it. But then it suddenly stopped processing my payments, and support stopped responding. I am not saying the same will happen to you, but you need to be aware of the risk. Overall, I would say it is just not worth the risk.

How CryptoTab says you earn

There are 2 ways to earn. Neither is worth it while CryptoTab does not process withdrawals. Tap one to read more.

Mining in the browser or appSlow
Mining speed settings in CryptoTab

You install the CryptoTab browser, open it and enable mining. The browser is powered by Chromium, the same engine Google Chrome uses, so it does not feel very different from Chrome, and you can use the same extensions. You can still use your computer for other things while it mines.

You set the mining speed yourself. A higher speed mines more, but your computer uses more electricity, the fans spin faster, and it can shorten the battery life of your devices. You have to find the right balance.

Referral program15% on level 1
CryptoTab referral levels and commissions

You invite people with your link. When they install CryptoTab, they become your referral. The program is 10 levels deep: you get 15% of what your level 1 referrals mine, and less on deeper levels. CryptoTab pays the commission, not your referrals. If no one mines, you do not earn.

I no longer recommend inviting anyone, because of the payout problems I had.

How much can you make?

It mostly depends on how often you mine, how many devices you install it on, and how many referrals you get. If you only use CryptoTab on one device, it takes quite a lot of patience. If you expect to become rich like this, you will be disappointed.

Its strength used to be that you do not have to do anything at all to earn. But that does not matter when your withdrawals are not processed. If you still decide to use it, do not let your balance build up before you withdraw, so you do not lose as much as I did.

How CryptoTab pays, and what happened to my payouts

StepWhat happened
Paid inBitcoin only, to your crypto wallet. No cash.
Minimum0.00001 BTC, a very low threshold
Earlier payoutsPaid several times without problems
Delayed payoutNot processed for months. I reconfirmed it, and it finally arrived after almost 9 months.
Last payoutRequested to the NC Wallet they recommend. It never arrived, and support never replied.

The threshold is very low, but that does not mean you get your money. If you want to earn crypto without investing anything, see the best free ways to earn Bitcoin instead.

  6. I have exactly the same experience with CryptoTab. I used to get my Satoshis without any issue for about two years, but all that stopped in April 2023, and from then on I was doing the same thing you’ve done – writing to them using the contact form on their website, reconfirming withdrawal requests and waiting forever for those to be done. At this time I’ve got over $100 accumulated in BTC there, but can’t withdraw any of it. No explanation on the part of CryptoTab had been provided about anything regarding these issues even though I requested one repeatedly. Once I even received a random withdrawal confirmation from them with entirely inaccurate withdrawal amount.
I think taking a joint, collective action against them (reporting for non payment in order to remove their website as well as the apps from Google Play) would be a good idea because I, for instance, invested time and effort to invite people to use the browser, and this kind of treatment from them is totally unacceptable.

    • Thanks for sharing. It seems this is a general issue. Would definitely be great if something could be done to stop them. I am doing my best by trying to make people aware through my website and YouTube channel.

  7. Unbelievable, you didn’t get paid and still recommending them !!

I’ve gotten into a similar situation, didn’t get about 20K Satoshi for several weeks and than stopped using Crypto Tab.

Not being paid is an unforgivable situation !!

    Reply
    • I am in no way recommending it anymore. I give it 1.5 star and clearly say it is not a platform I trust anymore and that there are better options that I know are safer to use. So I do not know where you get the idea that I am recommending them? Because I agree that not getting paid like this and not being able to get support is unforgivable. And sorry to hear the same happened to you.

      Reply
      • Well, as there is no option to give zero or negative stars, I think you should state clearly in the header or at the beginning of this article that CT are not paying, or remove this article and do not mention CT as an option to get passive income.

        Reply
        • I make it very clear at the top of the article that they owe me money and that I have lost that money. But I have been paid by them in the past. However, I do agree that they do not deserve more than 1 star as that is the minimum that possible to give so will change that right away.

  8. Let me add something else.

My Avast Antivirus didn’t report anything suspicious to me, but I don’t like that the CryptoTab starts automatically every time I turn on the computer, and I couldn’t find a way to turn it off in the settings. I guess I don’t have to go into hidden settings (about:flags) and search and poke around there, which can be risky anyway.

I don’t know if you or someone who has used this browser before or is still using it, but maybe you could take this into consideration when you update this review, which will surely be attributed to it as another flaw.

    • Thanks for sharing your experiences. I have also recently had some very bad experiences with CryptoTab, and will soon update the review with this info.

      • I am up to nearly $500 US and also nearly 6 months without any payout on my “reconfirmed” withdrawal. I also put them down to 1 star because of this. I stupidly bought into the 1st NFT gimmick without any noticeable payoff, and NO payout after that investment. I was nearly up to .05 BTC without any affiliates mining with me. (I don’t know a lot of people that are brave enough to even passively mine crypto. Also most of my friends don’t game on PC so they don’t tend to run their PCs more than a few hours each day. I was running CT 24/7 with the x10 multiplier and then also up to x15 until they kept rising the prices and quit paying out to be reinvested. I guess they are just ok with ripping us off with what we have invested time wise in their scam.

        Reply
        • Sorry to hear that.

Yes, they are apparently ok with ripping people off. I had expected they would at least close down if it was because their business model did not work, but it seems it is a deliberate choice of them since they keep going and keep not paying people.

  9. My only regret was that I didn’t take it so seriously when I started using it since early 2021.

Truth be told from my experience so far with it it works smoothly on my phone. I use Lite and CT VPN to Mine. The only drawback is the mining hours. I had to set up an alarm every two hours to mine continuously.

Now with their new withdrawal wallet option called NC Wallet. Withdrawal Transaction is super duper. If for over two years now I have been mining without any payment issues. I personally believe it a great deal. Just my free mining earns my $4-$5 monthly without purchasing of booster. Perhaps I could consider purchasing a booster plan later in the future. 2 hours mining continuously is really a work load but I enjoyed doing it every day. And still do others things as well.

    • Thanks for sharing your experiences. I also had no payment issues for a long time but now they have not paid me for almost 6 months even though I have requested it and they just keep telling me that it is delayed. So not a great sign but will keep testing it and update my review accordingly.

  10. Hello,

First of all, let me say that there are several versions for mobile phones, so one is simply called CryptoTab Lite and should consume less battery, at least judging by the name.

Technical support is definitely something I don’t really like.
I don’t know what the email address at the bottom of the page is for, because when you send them a message, you get an automatic reply right away that directs you to the feedback page, although there are several contact sections on the site. I tried to post some questions there that I placed in the “Other Questions” category, but I was unable to send them. I was confused by the fact that the installation interface is a bit unusual, so it seemed to me that the installation process literally stands still, but you just have to wait a few minutes for the automatic installation to finish.

I was wondering about a few things that maybe you can help me with if you want:

Is it mandatory to set the browser as default?

Do I have to sign in before or after installation, or can I do it later, once I’m more familiar with the browser?

I noticed that the browser uses its default search engine called CryptoTab Site Search, but I don’t know how it works because it didn’t find anything at all.

Can I register with this e-mail address from which I am writing this comment, because I don’t want to use social networks and GMail?

What is the CT VPN, why is it on their site and how can it be used?

Please don’t take this as an act of arrogance, but I have a few suggestions for your site, which of course you can flatly reject if you don’t like them at all, and feel free to shorten or delete this comment:

Given that you are exploring almost all earning opportunities and payment around the world, you could put one or more good multilingual automatic translators (so not just any) on the site that are not expensive, which will help visitors who know less English to find what they are looking for more easily.

Categories such as “Passive income” can also be added to the home page so that those who may be most interested in it can more easily find and explore what is posted under them.

You can also add suspicious, fraudulent, malicious and dangerous sites and applications to special categories and sort them there so that it is easier to know what to avoid and why.

Finally, I would just like to note that if you discover something valuable and interesting about BitTube, LIBRY and Odyssey platforms, post it here.

Thank you very much and sorry for the long comment.

    With best regards,

    Nikola

  13. crypto tab browser is a cheating program. in which you will be ask for 15x mining speed. But they will not provide the said speed after a day you pay and buy. They continuous lowest speed and multiply with 15. Mining at regular speed is preferable, but mining with their offered speed is biggest bullshit. I don’t know they will pay me or not, but feeling insecured by their cheating environment.
