UserInput.io Review: Worth It? (An Inside Look)

UserInput.io Rating

UserInput.io is not a bad user testing site. However, it’s also not that good. It’s just a mediocre user testing site, in my opinion. The earning opportunities are quite rare, and the rewards aren’t that high.

UserInput.io pays you to record your screen and talk through tests of websites and apps. I signed up and did a test to see if it is worth your time. It is legit and pays through PayPal, but test invites are rare. Below is what I found, and which sites I recommend instead.

Personally Tested Re-tested Oct 2026

Legit, but test invites are rare

Recorded tests of websites and apps, around $5 to $15 each. Paid through PayPal with no threshold, but you may get one test a month.

Good for you ifYou already use other user testing sites and want one more that can send you the odd paid test.
Skip it ifYou want to earn regularly, or you do not want to talk out loud while you record your screen.

The short answer

UserInput.io is a legit user testing site. Companies pay you to test their websites, apps or ideas while you record your screen and explain what you do. You get paid through PayPal, with no threshold.

But testing opportunities are few and far between: you can consider yourself lucky with one test per month. The rewards are not high either, so I see it as a mediocre site that is only worth it as an extra.

What I like
  • Available more or less worldwide
  • Pays through PayPal
  • No payout threshold
  • Simple sign-up
What I don’t like
  • Limited earning opportunities
  • Low rewards
  • No Help or FAQ page for testers
  • No member dashboard: everything goes through email
  • You do not hear back after you apply, unless there is a test for you

My experience with UserInput.io

I applied as a tester and did the only testing opportunity I received. This is what I did myself, and what I did not test.

Is UserInput.io legit and safe?

Yes, UserInput.io is legit: you can really earn from its testing opportunities. But that does not make it worth your time. Here is what you should know.

  • Tests are rare

Based on my test and feedback from other users, testing opportunities are few and far between. Do not expect to earn regularly from it.

  • You talk out loud on a recording

Every test asks you to record your screen and explain what you do and what you think, at the same time. If you are not comfortable with that, this is not for you.

  • Payment is not instant

The website does not say how long you wait for your money. When I tested it, it took a few days before the payment reached PayPal.

  • No reply after you apply

After you send the registration form, you only hear back when there is a test that fits your profile. UserInput.io does not confirm that you were accepted.

My takeUserInput.io is not a bad user testing site. However, it’s also not that good. It’s just a mediocre user testing site, in my opinion. Sure, it offers a convenient payout method, but the earning opportunities are quite rare, and the rewards aren’t that high.

UserInput.io sends few tests and pays little per test. The top sites in your country let you earn more, more often.

How you earn on UserInput.io

There is only one way to earn: testing opportunities.

Testing opportunitiesAround $5 to $15 per test
How to earn from UserInput.io

UserInput.io sends you an email with the instructions, the amount you will earn and the deadline. Every test asks you to record your screen and explain out loud what you are doing, so you need a microphone and a quiet room. The site tells you which screen recording software to download.

On average, you record 5 to 15-minute videos. The only test I received took a video of around 10 minutes. When you test a mobile app, you record your phone screen.

After you finish, you submit the video for review. If everything is in order, UserInput.io approves the payment for the test.

How much can you make?

It depends on how many tests you get, and they are few and far between. You can consider yourself lucky if you get one testing opportunity per month.

The average test pays around $5 to $15. That is not a bad rate, but it is also not that good for the effort and time a test takes. Better-paid tests exist, but they are rare and take more of your time. So the earning potential is very low, in my opinion.

Payout method and speed

MethodMinimumSpeed
PayPalNone, paid per testA few days in my test. The website does not say how long it takes.

UserInput.io has no member dashboard, so there is no balance and no threshold to reach. You need a verified PayPal account to get paid. If you want more sites with this payout method, see the top sites that pay via PayPal.

Devices, joining and support

There is no member dashboard or app: everything goes through email. You need your phone from time to time, when a test asks you to record the screen of a mobile app.

The website does not list the countries, but from what I saw, UserInput.io is available more or less worldwide. You must be 18 or older and have a verified PayPal account. You apply with the registration form, and you are only contacted when there is a test that fits your profile.

There is no Help or FAQ page for testers. For questions, email hello@userinput.io.
