UserCrowd pays you to give feedback on products in short paid tests. I checked it out to see if it is worth your time. It is a decent site, but there are few tests and payouts are slow. Below is what I found, and which sites I recommend instead.
Decent, but few tests and slow payouts
Paid product tests without qualifying questions. PayPal from $10, but payment can take up to 30 days after approval.

The short answer
UserCrowd is a decent survey site, in my opinion. You answer paid tests about products, without qualifying questions, and cash out to PayPal from $10.
But it takes too long to receive payment: UserCrowd reviews every payment request, and then pays within 30 days. There are also few tests, so the earning potential is low. Your time is better spent on other sites.
- Payment through PayPal
- Available globally
- The site is mobile-friendly
- No qualifying questions before a test
- Limited earning opportunities
- Low earning potential
- Takes quite a long time to receive payment
- PayPal is the only payout method
- A low tester rating means fewer tests
My experience with UserCrowd
I checked out UserCrowd’s paid tests, the payment request screen, the sign-up form, the mobile site and the support. This is what I looked at, and what I did not test.

Is UserCrowd legit and safe?
UserCrowd is a real site that pays for its tests. But being legit does not make it a good opportunity. Here is what you should know before you join.
- Slow payments
UserCrowd reviews every payment request first. If it approves the request, you get paid within 30 days. Other survey sites pay a lot faster.
- Few tests
There are not many tests, and UserCrowd does not say how many credits a test pays. Readers report that it took them a year or more to reach the $10 threshold.
- Answers and payouts can be rejected
UserCrowd reviews your answers. If it thinks you rushed, it rejects them and you get nothing. Low-quality answers lower your tester rating, which means fewer tests, and at worst a deactivated account. One reader wrote that a $10 payout request was rejected because of a low user rating.
- You need a phone number
UserCrowd sends a confirmation code by SMS to complete your registration. You also give your days of availability.
My takeUserCrowd is a decent survey site, in my opinion. But the main drawback is that it takes too long to receive payment, even though the threshold is only $10. The limited earning opportunities do not help either. There are simply other survey sites that let you earn more.
UserCrowd has few tests and pays slowly. The top sites in your country pay more, and faster.
See the best sites in your countryHow you earn on UserCrowd
There is only one way to earn: paid tests.
Paid testsCredits, depends on the test
When you are a tester, you log in to see the available tests, and UserCrowd emails you when there are new ones. A test is a lot like a paid survey about a product or service from one of UserCrowd’s partner companies, but without qualifying questions.
Most tests ask you to explain why you answered a certain way. Take your time and give clear, useful answers. You submit your answers for review, and UserCrowd decides if you get the credits.
Good answers raise your tester rating, so you get more tests. Rushed answers get rejected, lower your rating, and can get your account deactivated.
How much can you make?
It mostly depends on how often you get test offers, and how many credits each test pays. UserCrowd does not list the credits per test. In my experience, longer and more complicated tests pay more.
Your tester rating matters too: a high rating gets you more test offers. But overall, the earning potential is not very high, in my opinion. Do not expect to earn a lot from UserCrowd.
Payout method and minimum
| Method | Minimum | Speed |
|---|---|---|
| PayPal | 100 credits ($10) | Within 30 days after UserCrowd approves your request |
Once you have 100 credits, the Request button becomes clickable. The threshold is relatively low, but the payment takes quite some time. If you want your money faster, see the fastest paying survey sites.
Devices, joining and support
There is no app, but the site is mobile-friendly, so you can do tests in a mobile browser. Make sure your internet connection is stable, so your answers submit properly.
UserCrowd is available globally. You must be at least 18, because it pays through PayPal. You fill in the registration form, give your days of availability, and confirm with a code UserCrowd sends by SMS.
The FAQ covers most basic questions. If it does not answer yours, email support@usercrowd.com. There is no contact form.
What readers told me
This review has 24 comments since February 2020: 12 from readers and 12 replies from me. These are the things readers mention most.
Readers from Nigeria, Tanzania, South Africa, Italy and other countries asked for sites with more tests. The best options depend on your country.
Readers needed a year or more to reach $10, or waited weeks for a payout review. One reader’s payout request was rejected because of a low user rating.
One reader enjoys the tests and does not do them for the money.
“i needed a year and a half to reach the 10$ threshold. Tests are too few.”
Mikael: That is definitely a long time to reach the threshold. There are many sites with a lot more opportunities, in my experience.
“the “review” time for payouts is definitely increasing. … if anyone is looking to earn a quick buck this isn’t the way.”
Mikael: 41 days is definitely a long processing time.
“After you reached $10 and requested for payout they simply rejected your payout telling you a silly reason your user rating is low.”
Mikael: how fast you can earn depends a lot on the country you live in. But overall I also think there are many better options, as I explain in the review above.
“I make sure to submit quality answers, and useful feedback, and set my availability to the hours I am awake.”
Mikael: Sounds like you have the right approach to it and I definitely agree that it should also be seen as something fun and useful to do.

Who checked UserCrowd for this review
If you have any comments, questions, or experiences with UserCrowd, I would love to hear from you in a comment below.
I am writing to warn others about a fraudulent website called Usercrowd.com. My experience with this platform has been frustrating.
I urge others to be cautious of Usercrowd.com. This is a clear scam designed to exploit people. Please do not fall victim to their deceptive tactics.
They mention you can get a payout after reaching $10. The tasks were tedious and low-paying, and the payout system was extremely unreliable. Their pay for studies is too little eg. $0.20 per study. You have to wait for One year to reach a minimum $10 payout.
After you reached $10 and requested for payout they simply rejected your payout telling you a silly reason your user rating is low.
I strongly advise anyone considering Usercrowd to think twice. This is a clear-cut scam designed to exploit unsuspecting individuals and their time. There are countless legitimate online opportunities available without the risks and frustrations associated with this platform.
Thanks for sharing your experiences and opinion.
Just want to add that how fast you can earn depends a lot on the country you live in. But overall I also think there are many better options, as I explain in the review above.
I’ve been on UserCrowd since December 2020. So far I have “earned” about $70 for little more than a couple of hours of my time. That’s not fantastic, but I do admit some of the trials/tests are interesting. So far I’ve actually received $40 into my PayPal account and the “review” time for payouts is definitely increasing. Today I have $30 under review and their website suggests the waiting time is currently 41 days. I’ve no urgent need for the money so can wait, but if anyone is looking to earn a quick buck this isn’t the way.
Thanks for sharing your experiences about this. 41 days is definitely a long processing time.

Sure Mikael, I’d like to know other opportunities. I live between Italy and Germany. (Used to live: at the moment I’m living in Italy, will move to Berlin whenever possible)
Which ones are the best depends on the country so you just need to be aware that when you move to a new country you have to contact the sites you join in advance. If you suddenly login from a new country you risk they will flag you and block your account.
But you can see the best sites in Italy here.
And the best sites in Germany here.
Hi, I am from South Africa, please guide me to sites where I can get more servers, do tests like this for some more income.
Greatly appreciated and thanx for the great explanation of how UserCrowd works.

Mikael, can you recommend an app that works exactly the way bulbshare survey work. And i will be happy if you can also recommend website that give simple survey like usercrowd.
which country do you live in? Then I can suggest the best survey sites based on that.
USA
I just want to make you aware that using VPN to fake your country is not allowed and is fraud and you will get banned from any earning site if you do. And you also hurt a lot of people and their businesses if you cheat like this.
And I can see from where your comment is coming from that it seems you are not in the US, so you can then also not use US sites. If you want to use these sites, you have to do it honestly and stick to the sites that are available in your country.
Personally, I love UserCrowd, but I don’t do it for the money, I do it for fun, and at the end of a couple years, whatever I can apply for school, well that’s just a little money I earned for fun. I make sure to submit quality answers, and useful feedback, and set my availability to the hours I am awake. I don’t usually miss tests, but that hasn’t appeared to affect my rating. I think the key is just providing useful answers and that might help you get matched with more tests. Since everyone’s at home now they’ve doubled the earnings, and it seems that I’m getting more tests, so I’ve made almost $10 in the last 3 weeks. Again, nothing crazy, but it’s a really awesome concept, and I’m glad it exists.
Thanks for sharing your experiences about this.
Sounds like you have the right approach to it and I definitely agree that it should also be seen as something fun and useful to do.
i needed a year and a half to reach the 10$ threshold. Tests are too few. I just continued using the platform to get the first payment: I didn’t want to leave anything to them. They are scums.
That is definitely a long time to reach the threshold. There are many sites with a lot more opportunities, in my experience. Thanks for sharing your experiences about UserCrowd. If you want some suggestions for sites with more options, just let me know.
Mikael, can You just tellme about other sites.
Yes, I can. Which country do you live in? Because the best options depend on your country.
