I looked into Tesco Home Panel to see what is real and what is speculative. It is legit, and you can get free products to test, but you earn vouchers, not cash, and getting in takes time. Below is how it works, and which UK sites I recommend if you want cash.
Legit for Tesco shoppers, but vouchers only
Surveys you always qualify for and free product trials. A £10 voucher per 1,000 points, UK only.

The short answer
Tesco Home Panel is legit. It is a program by Tesco, one of the largest supermarket chains in the world, that lets its loyal customers answer surveys and test non-food products.
But it does not offer cash rewards, only digital vouchers, and the rewards are low. It is not for everyone: if you do not shop at Tesco often, you will find little value in it. Joining takes time, too: applications are processed once a month, and you hear back within 4 to 6 weeks.
- You always qualify for the surveys you are invited to
- Payouts are processed automatically
- You usually keep the products you trial
- No cash rewards
- A long application process
- Low rewards per survey
- Not many surveys
- UK residents with a Tesco Clubcard only

Is Tesco Home Panel legit and safe?
Yes, Tesco Home Panel is legit, because it is run by one of the largest supermarket chains in the world. But that does not make it worth it for everyone. Here is what you should know.
- Vouchers, not cash
You earn points that turn into digital vouchers. You cannot cash them out.
- A long application process
Applications are processed once a month, and Tesco contacts you within 4 to 6 weeks to tell you the outcome. If you want to earn rewards quickly, this is not the ideal option.
- Low rewards and few surveys
Surveys pay around 20 to 40 points, and there are not a lot of them. It takes a while to reach 1,000 points, and points can take some time to be credited.
- It depends on your shopping
Tesco looks at your shopping activity through the Clubcard program. If you shop often, you get more surveys. If you rarely shop at Tesco, you get little out of it.
My takeIn my opinion, Tesco Home Panel is not for everyone. If you do not shop at Tesco often, you will find little value in what it offers. But if you are a frequent Tesco shopper, joining can be a decent way to earn some vouchers. Just be aware that it can take some time to become a member, so you have to be very patient.
How you earn on Tesco Home Panel
There are 3 ways to earn. Product trials are worth the most. Tap one to read more.
SurveysAround 20 to 40 points
From time to time, you are invited to a survey, which you answer in the member dashboard. The surveys ask your opinion on a subject related to Tesco, or what types of products you buy.
What is great is that you do not go through a qualifying process. If you are invited, you already qualify. Some surveys do not pay; they are a qualifying step for a product trial. There are not a lot of surveys, so grab every one you get.
Product trialsKeep the product
If you are selected, Tesco sends you product samples to test at home, with instructions. Mainly non-food products: skincare, hair care, toiletries, household cleaners, paper products and clothing.
After the trial, you give feedback, often in a detailed questionnaire. Some trials ask you to join an informal chat, face-to-face at a venue or online in a group.
Most of the time, you keep the product you tested, which is worth more than the survey rewards. Some trials also give extra points, but that is not very common.
Referral program100 points each
Invite people to join, and remind them to give your name and email address when they sign up. You earn 100 points per referral, for up to 5 referrals. It is not much.
How much can you make?
You will not earn any cash from Tesco Home Panel. You earn digital vouchers. The real value, in my opinion, is the free products you can get in product trials.
How fast you reach a voucher depends on how many surveys you get, and that depends on how often you shop at Tesco. Short surveys pay around 20 points and longer ones 40, so it takes a while to reach 1,000 points. The earning potential is a bit on the low end.
How you get paid
| Reward | Minimum | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Digital voucher worth £10 | 1,000 points | Sent automatically when you reach 1,000 points |
| Free products | None | From product trials. You usually keep the product. |
Tesco says you can use the voucher when shopping at Tesco or its affiliate stores. It can take some time for points to be credited, so be patient.
Its biggest downside is that it does not offer cash rewards. If you prefer cash, see the top sites that pay via direct bank transfer.
What readers told me
This review has 2 comments since 2026: 1 from a reader and 1 reply from me. This is the experience she shared.
A reader agrees that survey points are slow. She got more from two online calls, paid in Love2shop vouchers, and received clothing twice.
“So as much as I agree with the collecting points from surveys takes a long time for little rewards in the past 2 months I have done 2 teams calls … and have also received clothing on 2 occasions. … fun fact you also cannot use the vouchers at Tesco !”
Mikael: Great to hear. Thanks for sharing your experiences.

So as much as I agree with the collecting points from surveys takes a long time for little rewards in the past 2 months I have done 2 teams calls and earnt £150 from them in love 2 shops vouchers, £100 from the first one and £50 from the second one and have also received clothing on 2 occasions. Whilst some people may not enjoy the voucher aspect I do as I just put them towards birthday presents for my children, fun fact you also cannot use the vouchers at Tesco !
