Step Fitness Journey Review – Legit? (What You NEED to Know)

Step Fitness Journey Rating

I don’t recommend you use Step Fitness Journey. You’ll only be wasting your time because you won’t get paid by this app.

Warning: you will not get paid by Step Fitness Journey

I tested Step Fitness Journey after I saw an ad for it, and I found several red flags. You need 5,000 coins, worth $500, to cash out. In my experience, apps with a payout threshold that high almost always do not intend to pay their members. The app is also in early access, so it shows no reviews on its app store page, and it keeps showing ads for get-rich-quick schemes. I do not recommend it. The apps I recommend instead are at the end of this review.

Step Fitness Journey says you can earn good money simply by walking. I tested it after I saw an ad for it. You collect coins for your steps and for small games, but you need $500 to cash out, and you watch an ad every time you collect. Below is what I found, and which apps I recommend instead.

Do not use it: you will not get paid

Coins for walking and small games, a video ad every time you collect, and a $500 minimum to cash out.

The short answer

I do not recommend you use Step Fitness Journey. You will only be wasting your time, because you will not get paid by this app.

You collect coins for walking and for scratch cards and a spin-the-wheel game, and you watch a video ad every time. But you need 5,000 coins, worth $500, to cash out, and the app is in early access, so it shows no reviews on its app store page.

What I like
  • None that matter. You will not get paid.
What I don’t like
  • A very unrealistic payout threshold: $500
  • A video ad every time you collect coins
  • Ads for get-rich-quick schemes
  • In early access, so you cannot see any reviews on its app store page

My experience with Step Fitness Journey

I installed Step Fitness Journey, let it track my steps, collected coins and played its games. This is what I did myself, and what I did not test.

Is Step Fitness Journey legit and safe?

I regard Step Fitness Journey as a suspicious app, because of the red flags I found while testing it. Here is what you should know, so you can also spot these red flags in other apps.

  • An unrealistic $500 threshold

Most reward apps have a threshold of $10 to $20. Here you need 5,000 coins, worth $500. It is almost impossible to reach in a short time, and in my experience, the rewards drop drastically as you get close. If you do reach it, these apps usually add another hurdle before you can withdraw.

  • The app is in early access

Sometimes an app is in early access because it is really on a trial run. But most of the time, developers do this to avoid negative reviews. Most of the earning apps I have seen in early access are problematic apps.

  • Ads for get-rich-quick schemes

You watch a video ad every time you collect coins, and most of them promote get-rich-quick schemes. In my experience, apps that show these kinds of ads usually do not pay you.

  • Readers report a payout queue

Several readers report that after they reached the goal, they had to watch more ads to verify and were then put in a payout queue. They say you lose your place in the queue when you stop watching ads, and none of them told me they were paid.

My takeIf it is not clear to you yet, I do not recommend you use Step Fitness Journey. You will only be wasting your time, because you will not get paid by this app. If you want to earn by walking, check out the best walk and earn apps instead. The apps on that list are all legit and will pay you for walking.

Step Fitness Journey will not pay you for your steps. These sites in your country do pay.

How Step Fitness Journey says you earn

There are 2 ways to collect coins. Tap one to read more.

WalkingUp to 3,000 steps a day
Collecting coins for walking on Step Fitness Journey

The app counts your steps once you allow it to track your physical activity. You can collect coins every time you have taken 50 steps, for a maximum of 3,000 steps a day.

Every time you collect, you are asked to watch a video ad of 30 seconds to a minute. Most of the ads promote get-rich-quick schemes that you should be wary of. For apps that do pay, see the best walk and earn apps.

Scratch cards and spin-the-wheelMore coins, more ads
Games on Step Fitness Journey

These are games of chance. You get free chances to play each game every day, and most of the time you win extra coins.

But you also watch a video ad from time to time when you collect your winnings. In the end, you spend more time watching ads than earning.

How you get paid (and why you will not)

The app says you can convert your coins to PayPal cash or gift cards. 10 coins are worth $1, and you need at least 5,000 coins to withdraw. That is $500.

That threshold is insanely high. To me, it almost looks like the app is saying you will not get paid. In my experience, apps or websites with a threshold this high almost always do not intend to pay their members.

If you want apps or sites with a low threshold, see the fastest paying sites.

  2. it is a big scam.It doesnt pay you. I worked there from my phone. It says you have to be nb 1 in the queue for the payment (which is not the procedue for paypal, bank trasfer etc), and you never get to be nb 1 no matterhow many videos you watch. I want to sue them and to report them. They owe me 8000 ron. SO, Step Fitness Journey is a big scam.

We shall see and I will report again on my findings

        • Did you?? Also opted for the PP and after watching another 50 ads to verify, they want me to watch 120 ads in 5 days, even though pay out is supposed to be in 19 hrs ( was 3 days)

        • I’ve managed to reach every goal with the PayPal option and after watching tons of ad videos and a month later still no payout. Once you’ve watched the 150+ ads to verify you get put into a queue and you can improve your position in the queue by watching ads. Only problem is that once you stop watching those ads your position falls down the queue again.

  4. Totally agree with all you have said. It doesn’t work if you want to earn money. You might as well go to work and do a real job. I am an o.a.p and am appalled that these apps are still going.
