SimCash Review – Legit or a Scam? (A Detailed Inside Look)

SimCash Rating

If you don’t mind letting the app send SMS messages, then SimCash can be an easy way to earn a bit extra. However, you will not earn a lot and they charge very high withdrawal fees.

SimCash says it pays you for your unused SMS messages. I tested the app to see if that is worth it. You can earn passively, but you earn fractions of a cent per SMS, and the withdrawal fees are very high. Below is what I found, and which apps I recommend instead.

Partially Tested Re-tested Oct 2026

Passive, but very low rewards and high withdrawal fees

Fractions of a cent per SMS the app sends from your phone. Android only, by APK. Bank transfers start at €50 with a €10 or €15 fee.

Good for you ifYou use Android, have unlimited SMS that you never use up, your carrier allows this use, and you do not mind the app sending SMS from your number.
Skip it ifYou want to earn more than a few cents, you use an iPhone, or you do not want an app to send messages from your SIM card.

The short answer

SimCash is legit in the sense that you really can earn from it, and you earn passively. The app sells your unused SMS messages: as far as I can tell, they are used to send one-time passwords (OTPs) for other apps.

But you only earn around €0.0020 to €0.0029 per SMS, and the withdrawal fees are very high. You also have to let the app send messages from your phone, and your carrier may not allow this kind of use. Do not expect to earn a lot from it.

What I like
  • A passive way of earning
  • Turns unused SMS messages into money
  • User-friendly app that is easy to set up
  • Works with dual-SIM phones
  • Crypto withdrawals without fees from €4 (XRP and Doge)
  • Several ways to contact support
What I don’t like
  • Very low rewards per SMS
  • Very high withdrawal fees for bank transfer, Bitcoin and USDT
  • No PayPal anymore
  • Android only, and only as an APK from the website
  • The app sends SMS messages from your number
  • Your antivirus or browser may flag the website as fraud

My experience with SimCash

I installed the app, registered, activated a SIM card and set the limits and the price per SMS. This is what I looked at, and what I did not test.

Is SimCash legit and safe?

SimCash is legit in the sense that you really can earn from it. But you give the app access to your SIM card, and that comes with real risks. Here is what you should know.

  • The app sends SMS from your number

The website does not really explain what the messages are used for. From what I found, they are used to send one-time passwords (OTPs) for other apps, to SIM cards in the country you choose.

  • Your carrier may block your line

If your network carrier does not allow this kind of use, this app is not for you. Check its terms and conditions first. Readers write that carriers cut off or blocked their line for sending too many SMS, even on an unlimited plan.

  • Your antivirus may flag the website

When you go to the SimCash website, your antivirus or browser may warn that the site is a fraud. Consider that before you decide if it is worth it.

  • Very high withdrawal fees

A bank transfer needs €50 and costs €10 or €15. Bitcoin and USDT have a transaction fee too. I have not seen such high withdrawal fees on a Get-Paid-To site before. Only XRP and Doge are free, from €4.

  • You only earn while the app runs

The app needs an internet connection and must keep working in the background. If you clear the apps running in the background, it closes and you stop earning.

My takeIf you don’t mind letting the app send SMS messages, then SimCash can be an easy way to earn a bit extra. However, you will not earn a lot and they charge very high withdrawal fees. Considering how low the rewards are, I think it is a very poor service of SimCash to charge these high withdrawal fees.

How you earn on SimCash

There are 2 ways to earn. Selling unused SMS is the main one. Tap one to read more.

Selling unused SMS€0.0020 to €0.0029 per SMS
Setting the price per SMS on SimCash

Install the app, register, and open the dashboard. The app detects your SIM cards automatically, and it also works with a dual-SIM phone. Click “Edit” on a SIM card and set it to “Active”.

Then set which countries the messages go to. I suggest only your own country, because other countries are counterproductive and cost more in most cases. Next, set your hourly, daily, weekly and monthly limits. With unlimited SMS in your subscription, “No Limit” earns the most, but check what your carrier allows first.

Finally, set the price per SMS with the slider. A higher price sells fewer messages; the lowest price sells more, but you earn less. Start with a fair price around the edge of the green section, around €0.0029. The maximum is €0.005 per SMS.

Then press the Back button on your phone and choose “Keep working in the background”. The app needs an internet connection to track the messages it sells.

Referral program10% and 5% commission

Share your referral code, and remind people to enter it when they sign up. You earn a 10% commission on every SMS your level 1 referrals sell, and 5% on the people they invite (level 2).

The rewards are not a lot, but you do not have to meet a condition before you start earning from your referrals.

How much can you make?

You will not earn hundreds of dollars or euros from this app. The maximum per SMS is €0.005, and at that price you will not sell a lot. The more realistic amount is around €0.0020 to €0.0029 per SMS.

It can be a bit more worthwhile if you have unlimited SMS from your carrier. But compared to Money SMS, which pays you per SMS you receive, SimCash does not have a high earning potential.

Withdrawal methods, minimums and fees

MethodMinimumFee
XRP€4None
Doge€4None
BitcoinA different thresholdA transaction fee
USDTA different thresholdA transaction fee
Bank transfer (wire)€50€10 in euros, €15 in USD

You see your total earnings as soon as you open the app. You can also transfer your earnings to another SimCash account, but that is a bit useless, in my opinion.

You used to be able to withdraw via PayPal, but that option is no longer there.

I like that SimCash offers direct bank transfer, but the €50 threshold and the fee are very high for an app with rewards this low. For sites with this method and lower costs, see the top sites that pay via direct bank transfer.

Who can join, and which devices

SimCash does not say which countries it is available in. Based on feedback from other members, it seems available more or less worldwide. To check, install the app and try to sign up: if your country is listed among the choices, you can use it.

Fill out the sign-up form with your mobile number, and enter a referral code if someone referred you. Then set up the app and start earning.

SimCash is mobile-only and needs a SIM card, so a desktop is out of the question. It only works on Android, and it is not in the Android app store: you download the APK file from the website and install it manually. The app itself is user-friendly and intuitive.

A reader asked why the app paused for 2 to 3 days. Contact SimCash support about this.

How much and how fast you earn1 comment

A reader asked how many messages and days it takes to earn. It depends on your price and limits, and the rewards per SMS are very low.
