People For Research Review 2026: Is It Legit? Pros, Cons and My Verdict

People For Research Rating

People For Research is a good extra site to earn from. You can’t always earn from it because qualifying for the studies can be quite hard. But if you manage to qualify, you can earn decent money because it pays well.

I checked out People For Research to see if its paid research studies are worth your time. It is legit and pays well per study, but qualifying is hard. Below is what I found, and which sites I recommend if you want easier ways to earn.

Legit and pays well per study, but hard to qualify

Paid research studies, mostly for people in the UK. Good pay per study, but they take time and you will not qualify often.

Good for you ifYou live in the UK, have time to spare for studies, and want a good extra site to earn from.

The short answer

People For Research is legit. It is a UK-based participant recruitment platform, and you can really earn from the research studies it offers. When you qualify, it pays well: usually £25 to £250 per study.

But qualifying for the studies can be quite hard, and the studies usually take up a significant amount of your time. It is mostly for people who live in the UK. In my opinion, it is a good extra site to earn from, not one to earn from regularly.

What I like
  • Pays well per study
  • Offers cash rewards for some studies, paid by direct bank transfer
  • Paid within three working days after a study
  • You can see all available studies without logging in
  • Each study shows its topic, duration, type and reward up front
What I don’t like
  • Requires a certain level of commitment to earn
  • Qualifying for the studies can be quite hard
  • Mostly for people who live in the UK
  • The referral program isn’t always available
  • You must give your mobile number to register

Is People For Research legit and safe?

Yes, People For Research is legit, because you can really earn from the opportunities it offers. But being legit does not automatically make it worth your time. Here is what you should know before you sign up.

  • Qualifying is hard

You answer a questionnaire for every study you apply for, and you are only contacted if you qualify. The studies are usually looking for very specific types of participants, so the qualifying rate won’t be that high.

  • Mostly for people in the UK

Most of the studies are for people who live in the UK. From time to time, studies look for participants outside the UK, but in general, it is only for people who live in the UK.

  • You must give your mobile number

Registration asks for your mobile number, because this is how People For Research verifies your identity. If you don’t like to give out your phone number, this is not for you.

  • Studies take real time

The studies usually take up a significant amount of your time. In-person studies mean you visit a location on a set date and time. Online discussions run through Microsoft Teams, Zoom or Google Meet, so do them in a quiet room.

  • Referral rewards are not guaranteed

You can only refer people to specific studies, and only some studies offer a referral reward. It is not a reliable way to earn.

My takeIn my opinion, People For Research is a good extra site to earn from. You can’t always earn from it because qualifying for the studies can be quite hard. But if you manage to qualify, you can earn decent money because it pays well. I only recommend you join if you have the time to spare to participate in the studies it offers.

Qualifying for People For Research studies can be hard. The top sites in your country let you earn more regularly.

How you earn on People For Research

There are 2 ways to earn. Research studies make up almost all of the money. Tap one to read more.

Research studies£25 to £250 each
Research studies you can apply for on People For Research

You see all the available studies without having to log in. That’s the first thing I noticed when I was testing it. To apply, click the Apply button, log in, and answer a questionnaire that determines if you are the right person for the study.

You are only contacted if you qualify, by email or through the member dashboard, so check both regularly. If your application is accepted, you do what is asked of you during the specified time.

Studies are Online, In Person or At Home. Formats include website or app testing, discussions (focus groups or one-on-one interviews), short tasks, product testing and surveys. Topics range from car insurance, holidays, education, investments, business banking and more. In-person studies usually take more effort and time, but they usually pay more.

Every study shows its topic, duration, type of research and reward, so you can easily decide which ones to apply for.

Referral programOnly some studies

You can’t invite people to the site itself. You can only refer people to specific research studies, and only some studies offer a reward for it.

If a study offers one and you know someone who fits, ask them to enter your email address and full name when they apply. The reward is usually cash or gift cards, and the amount can vary.

How much can you make?

It depends entirely on how many studies you participate in. When I was testing the site, there were 66 studies available, so there is a good chance you find one you are qualified for.

The reward per study depends on its duration and complexity. It ranges from £25 to £250, which is quite a good rate, in my opinion. I have seen studies that offer higher rewards, but they take longer to finish, and they are usually looking for very specific types of participants, so it’s harder to qualify.

Overall, its earning potential is quite decent. You just have to be very patient, because the qualifying rate won’t be that high.

How you get paid

MethodWhenNotes
Direct bank transferWithin three working daysFor studies that pay in cash. You give your banking details when you complete the study.
Gift card or voucherWithin three working daysFor studies that pay in gift cards. You receive the digital gift card by email.

The study decides how you are paid. There is no threshold to reach, because you are paid for each study you complete.

I like that it pays via direct bank transfer, because it is one of the most convenient payment methods, in my opinion. For more sites with this method, see the top sites that pay via direct bank transfer.

Who can join, and on which devices?

The company is based in the UK, and most of its studies are for people who live in the UK. To register, you must be at least 16 years old. Fill out the registration form and provide your mobile number, which is used to verify your identity. Then you can start applying for the research studies.

Whether you can use your phone depends on the study. For an online one-on-one interview, you can probably use your phone, because most video conferencing software works on mobile. For an in-person or at-home study, you can’t do it on your phone.

For support, check the FAQ on the website first. Otherwise, use the contact form or email support@peopleforresearch.co.uk. For questions about a study you are taking part in, ask the assigned facilitator.
