Paceline App Review – Worth It? (Full Truth Revealed)

Paceline Rating

Paceline is a good fitness app to use if you are looking for an app that will help you achieve your fitness goals. But as an app to earn from, there are far better options out there, in my opinion and experience.

I looked into Paceline to see if a fitness app that rewards your workouts is worth using to earn. It is legit, but the rewards are low gift cards and it is for US iPhone users only. Below is what I found, and which apps I recommend if you want to earn more.

Partially Tested Re-tested Oct 2026

Legit fitness app, but a poor way to earn

Hit 150 Paceline minutes a week to unlock gift cards. No cash. US only, iOS only, and you need a fitness watch.

Good for you ifYou live in the US, use an iPhone and a supported fitness watch, and want a small reward as motivation to exercise.
Skip it ifYou want cash, you use Android, you live outside the US, or you do not want to link your credit or debit card.

The short answer

Paceline is legit. It is a fitness app that lets you earn rewards when you hit your weekly fitness goals. You need 150 Paceline minutes a week, and a longer streak unlocks better rewards.

But you only get gift cards, and the rewards are low. It only works in the US, only on iOS, only with an Apple watch, Garmin or Fitbit, and you have to link your credit or debit card. It is a good app to reach your fitness goals, not a good app to earn from.

What I like
  • Offers a good way to achieve your fitness goals
  • The app is user-friendly
  • A longer streak unlocks better rewards
  • Help Center and support tickets
What I don’t like
  • Low rewards
  • Doesn’t offer any cash rewards, only gift cards
  • US only and iOS only
  • You need an Apple watch, Garmin or Fitbit
  • You have to link your credit or debit card

My experience with Paceline

I looked into Paceline: how you earn, the rewards, who can join, the sign-up and the support. This is what I looked at, and what I did not test.

Is Paceline legit and safe?

Yes, Paceline is legit. You can earn rewards from it. But legit does not mean it is worth using to earn. Here is what you should know.

  • You have to link your credit or debit card

After you register, you link a credit or debit card. Paceline does not charge you. It uses the card to verify you are a real person, and to track your spending habits to see what rewards it can offer you. Long-time users say there is nothing to worry about, but it depends on whether you are comfortable with this.

  • Low rewards, and no cash

Paceline only gives gift cards. A streak of two unlocks a $2 Amazon gift card, and long-time users say the most you can usually redeem is $5. Gift cards of $10 or more exist, but they are very hard to find.

  • Your streak resets when you miss a week

If you do not hit the weekly goal, your streak resets and you start from scratch. If you only exercise now and then, you will find it hard to earn.

  • US, iOS and a fitness watch only

Paceline is only for people in the US, only on iOS, and only with an Apple watch, Garmin or Fitbit. Android users cannot use it.

My takePaceline is a good fitness app to use if you are looking for an app that will help you achieve your fitness goals. But as an app to earn from, there are far better options out there, in my opinion and experience. While Amazon gift cards are a good form of reward, other apps offer the same thing, but they also offer cash rewards as well.

How you earn on Paceline

There are 2 ways to earn. The weekly fitness goals are the main one. Tap one to read more.

Weekly fitness goalsMain earner
How to earn from Paceline

You rack up 150 Paceline minutes every week by doing activities that raise your heart rate. Paceline says: “A Paceline Minute is the amount of time you spend doing an activity whose intensity is equal to or greater than a brisk walk.”

First connect your fitness watch to the app. Only Apple watches, Garmin and Fitbit work. Your watch tracks the activity, and Paceline counts the minutes. You can earn up to 50 Paceline minutes a day, so plan your workouts around that.

When you hit your weekly goal, you unlock rewards. Keep hitting it every week (a streak), and you unlock more and better rewards. Miss a week, and the streak resets. This only suits people who exercise regularly.

Referral program$10 Amazon gift card
Referral program of Paceline

Share your referral code. Your referral enters it when they sign up. You get a $10 Amazon gift card when your referral claims a reward within 45 days of registering, so they have to hit their weekly fitness goal in that time. They then also get a $5 Amazon gift card as a bonus.

How much can you make?

If you keep your streak alive, you can claim gift cards that are worth more. But overall, the earning potential of Paceline is not that great.

The value it offers is not the rewards you get, but the fitness goals you achieve. In my opinion, the app is meant to help you reach your fitness goals, not to earn.
