OnMyWay App Review – Worth It? (What Others Don’t Tell You)

OnMyWay Rating

If OnMyWay offered a way to get paid in cash, it could even better. But it is super easy to earn if you are interested in deals, and it does a good job at promoting road safety at the same time.

I tested OnMyWay, an app that rewards you for driving without using your phone. It is legit and easy, but you cannot withdraw your earnings as cash, and it is only for the US. Below is what I found, and which apps I recommend instead.

Partially Tested Re-tested Oct 2026

Legit and easy, but you cannot cash out

Earn $0.05 per mile you drive without using your phone. You spend it on deals, not cash. US only.

Good for you ifYou live in the US, drive a lot, and like deals and discounts.
Skip it ifYou want cash through PayPal or a bank, or you live outside the US.

The short answer

OnMyWay is legit and will really reward you. It pays you for every mile you drive without using your phone, which also helps promote safety on the road.

But you cannot withdraw your earnings to PayPal or a bank account. You can only use them to claim deals, which are limited. And it is only available in the US. That is what really holds the app back.

What I like
  • Offers a unique and interesting way to earn
  • The app is user-friendly
  • It helps promote safety on the roads
  • Takes little effort: you earn during your normal routine
  • Android and iOS
What I don’t like
  • Limited earning opportunities
  • Limited payment options: no PayPal or bank transfer
  • Deals have limited spots and a $20 to $40 threshold
  • Only available in the US

Is OnMyWay legit and safe?

Yes, OnMyWay is legit and will really reward you. But that does not mean it is worth using. Here is what you should know.

  • No cash payouts

Its website keeps saying you can earn cash, but the app does not offer a way to withdraw your earnings to PayPal or a bank account. You can only claim deals.

  • Deals run out

From what I can tell, most deals can only be claimed by 200 people at most. After that, you have to look for another deal, which can mean a long wait.

  • You scan your driver’s license

When you register, you scan your driver’s license. OnMyWay uses it to check that you actually drive. You also grant the app control of your phone while it tracks.

  • Never use your phone while driving

You stop earning when you use your phone. You can still take calls through Bluetooth, and use music or map apps if you open them before you enable tracking.

My takeIn my opinion, if the app offered a way to withdraw your earnings through PayPal or bank transfer, it could be a good way to earn extra cash. That is what really holds the app back. You can earn easily, but I cannot say the deals are that useful. If you are okay with that, go ahead and download the app. Otherwise, I suggest you check out the top survey and GPT sites in your country instead.

How you earn on OnMyWay

There are 2 ways to earn. Driving without using your phone is the main one. Tap one to read more.

Driving without your phone$0.05 per mile
How the OnMyWay app tracks the distance you drive

Install the app and grant it permission to control your phone. Enable it before you start driving. When it detects you are moving faster than 10 miles per hour, it starts tracking the distance.

You earn for every mile you do not use your phone. Passengers can earn too, as long as they do not use their phone. Turn off tracking when you are done, so you can use your phone normally.

Open music apps like Spotify, or Google Maps, before you enable tracking. They still work. Calls through Bluetooth in your car also still work.

Referral program$2 each
OnMyWay referral program

Share your invite link. When someone signs up through it, you receive a $2 reward. On top of that, the program pays $0.02 per mile driven without using the phone.

It is not much, but it is a passive way to earn. And convincing someone to use the app is quite easy, in my opinion.

How much can you make?

It depends on how often you drive. If you drive to work every day, you will eventually earn decent rewards from it. If you only drive occasionally, do not expect to earn a significant amount in a short time.

The rate of $0.05 per mile is not that bad, in my opinion, and it takes little effort. You just go about your normal routine. So the earning potential is decent, and if you drive a lot, you can earn quite nicely. The problem is what you can spend it on.

Rewards and minimum

Overall, the payment system is relatively straightforward, but fairly limited. For sites and apps that pay in cash, see the top sites that pay via PayPal.

  1. You have to useful this app and then explain how it work to get cash.
The money that you earn while drive is like a points because you have to use it to get an offer but they pay you real cash for get offer and the money is deposited in a Venmo Account.
For example: I did get a Mc Donald’s offer that you use $6 from the app account and they pay you $6 to your Venmo account, so the only thing that you have to do is a video comment the city of the restaurant, the logo and the food and also thanks to OnMyWay for the $6 less on my food. Follow instructions to get the money and Yes, I have $21 in my Venmo for only 2 weeks of use, 2 Gas / 1 Wendy’s and 1 Mc Donald’s.
