Is My Digital Survey Legit? (Red Flags Revealed)

My Digital Survey Rating

My Digital Survey has several deal-breakers as using fake testimonials and the fact that you cannot earn on the site itself. If you want to earn by taking surveys, this is NOT the site to join.

My Digital Survey says it is the #1 spot for high-paying surveys. I signed up to see what you really get. Below is what I found, the red flags in its own privacy policy, and which sites I would pick first.

Partially Tested Last tested

Not a survey site: you sign up for promotions, not paid surveys

US only. You cannot earn on the site. You give your name and email to receive offers, and its own policy says it may sell your information.

Good for you ifYou want promotional emails with survey site offers and do not mind that your information may be shared and sold.
Skip it ifYou want to earn from surveys, or you want to keep your personal information private.

The short answer

My Digital Survey looks like a paid survey site, but it is not what it looks like at first. It does not mean it is a scam, but you cannot earn on the site. There is no members’ area. You give your name and email, and you start receiving offers by email.

Its own privacy policy says it may use your information for email, direct mail and telemarketing about third-party products, and the site has a “Do not sell my info” page. It also uses stock photos for its testimonials. I do not recommend signing up. There are many better survey sites in the US where you can earn directly.

What I like
  • Its public list includes a couple of great survey sites, like PaidViewpoint and Opinion Outpost
What I don’t like
  • You cannot earn on the site
  • It is not very clear what you actually sign up for
  • Its own website says it may sell your information
  • The testimonials use stock photos
  • Some of the offers it promotes are not worth it
  • No information about the company or owner

My experience with My Digital Survey

I signed up for My Digital Survey and looked through the website, its privacy policy and its opt-out page. This is what I looked at, and what I did not test.

An inside look at My Digital Survey

In the video below, I show exactly how My Digital Survey works. The website looks slightly different in the video from what it looks like now, but what the video says is still true.

You cannot earn on My Digital Survey. These US survey sites let you earn directly on the site.

Is My Digital Survey legit and safe?

It does not mean it is a scam, but My Digital Survey is not what it looks like at first. Here is what you agree to when you sign up.

  • You cannot earn on the site

There is no members’ area where you can take paid surveys. After you give your name and email, you only see a short thank-you message. All you sign up for is to receive promotional offers by email.

  • Your information may be shared

You have to agree to the privacy policy to sign up. It says your information is used for “e-mail, direct mail and telemarketing messages” about the company’s own and third-party products. It does not say which companies, or how many.

  • It may sell your information

The site has a “Do not sell my info” page, so you have to actively ask it not to sell your information. Only California residents can use the opt-out form, and it says it may deny a request it believes is fraudulent.

  • The testimonials use stock photos

I did an image search for one of the testimonial photos on Google, and it came up on a lot of other websites.

  • Recommendations based on promotion

The list of survey sites on the website had only 5 sites when I wrote this review. A couple are great, like PaidViewpoint and Opinion Outpost, but it also recommends some sites that are not worth it.

My takeI honestly do not have a lot of positive things to say about My Digital Survey. The biggest deal-breaker for me is that it says on its own website that it may sell your information. You cannot earn on the site, and it uses fake testimonials. It is not a site I recommend signing up for. What you get on My Digital Survey

My Digital Survey gives you 2 things. Neither of them pays you. Tap one to read more.

Promotional offers by emailNo pay
The message you get after signing up for My Digital Survey

Signing up is very easy: you click the sign-up button and give your name and email. You then get a short thank-you message on the screen.

The idea is that you then start receiving offers by email. So you are signing up for a newsletter with promotional offers. My Digital Survey says it is an expert that can help you find tricks to earn online, but that is basically all you are told before you sign up.

A list of survey sitesNo pay, a list

On the website, you can see a list of survey sites it recommends. You do not have to sign up to see it.

When I wrote this review, the list had only 5 survey sites and some very superficial information. A couple are great, like PaidViewpoint and Opinion Outpost. But overall, the list is not impressive, and it recommends some sites that are not worth it.

Sites like PanelPlace also recommend other survey sites. They can be fine for some inspiration, but most of them focus on promotion, not on quality information.

How much can you make?

Nothing on My Digital Survey itself. There are no surveys, no points and no payouts on the site.

If you want to earn from surveys in the US, join legit survey sites directly. There are many great paid survey sites in the US, and you can earn on each of them without being afraid that they sell your information. See the best survey sites in the US.

“HOW DO I get off their list? Can the get into my bank account/”

Reader, November 2023

  1. Hi well unfortunately I did sign up. I recd an email stating I had 321.00 waiting for me to verify my info, which I did not do.
But from what your saying , I can’t get rid of them. I got bombarded with random text messages from all kinds of different companies. It’s horrible.
I got the info from Amazon and I assumed it was legit, big mistake on my part.
    Thank you

    • Thanks for sharing this. It is definitely terrible how you can end up getting bombarded with messages. But good to hear you did not fall for one of their emails to confirm your info.

Strange you saw them on Amazon. But I guess that technically you can say it is legit because they do have in their terms what you can expect. It is just NOT transparent at all and most people will not be able to figure out what they get before signing up. That is also the reason I wrote this review to help make it clear before people sign up as I am pretty sure the majority of people would not sign up if they knew what they really sign up for.

If you would like some suggestions for sites where you can actually earn and where you will not get bombarded with promotional text messages, I will be happy to suggest some sites. Just let me know which country you live in and I will suggest some sites based on that.
