Caden has closed
The Caden app is no longer available for download on the App Store, and its website only shows a “Warning: Security Risk” page. So it is safe to say that Caden has closed. You cannot join or earn on it now. I keep my review below as a record. The sites I would pick instead are further down.
Caden was an iPhone app that paid you points for sharing your data. It has now closed. I tested it myself before that. Below is what I found, and which sites I would pick instead.
Caden has closed
Caden has closed, so you can no longer earn on it. When it was running, it was legit and almost effortless, but the rewards were low and you needed $40 to cash out.

The short answer

When it was running, it was legit, because you really earned points for sharing your data. But the rewards were low, you needed $40 before you could cash out, and it only worked on iPhone.

Was Caden legit and safe?
Caden has closed, so you can no longer join or earn on it. When it was running, it was legit, because you really earned points for sharing your data. These were the catches.
- It has closed
The app is no longer available on the App Store, and the website only shows a “Warning: Security Risk” page.
- Low rewards
The daily rewards for letting the app run were usually worth around $0.20 to $0.80, even with a decent data score. Surveys paid more, but they were not common.
- A high payout threshold
You needed 40,000 points, worth $40, before you could cash out. With rewards that low, it took a lot of patience to get there.
- You shared a lot of personal data
Your earnings were based on your data score. To raise it, you entered personal information in your Vault, connected accounts like Netflix, Amazon and Uber, and let the app use your location.
- iOS only
Caden only worked on iPhone. There was no Android app and no desktop version.
My takeCaden has closed, so it is no longer an option. When it was running, it was not a bad app to have on the side, because it earned almost by itself. But the rewards were low and the threshold was high, so it was never a main way to earn. See the alternatives below.
How you earned on Caden
There were 2 ways to earn points. The Vault was the main one. Tap one to read more.
The VaultDaily rewards
The Vault was where your data lived in the app. You entered as much or as little personal information as you wanted, a bit like filling out a profile, and set up a PIN so you controlled whether it was shared with the app.
From that, the app calculated your data score, which was the basis for what you earned. It started at 0. You raised it by connecting accounts like Netflix, Amazon and Uber, and it grew over time as more data was collected.
Then you kept the app running in the background and let it use your location. The daily rewards were added to your points balance by themselves, so you did not have to do anything to collect them.
SurveysMore, but rare
From time to time, there were short surveys you could answer for extra points. They were shorter than most surveys on survey sites, so they did not take long.
Each survey also raised your data score, so they helped you earn more from the Vault in the long run.

How much could you make?
Not a lot. With a decent data score, you usually earned around 200 to 800 points a day for letting the app run in the background. That was only worth around $0.20 to $0.80.
Surveys paid more, but they were not common, so you could not rely on them. Connecting certain accounts gave a few bonus points, but very few. The one saving grace was that you practically did not have to do anything to earn. You just needed a lot of patience to reach $40.
How Caden paid
You converted your points to cash and withdrew it through Stripe.
| Method | Minimum | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Stripe | 40,000 points ($40) | Cash |
The payment system was simple, but the threshold was very high for an app that paid this little. For sites and apps with a low threshold, see the fastest paying sites.
