I checked out TRP Surveys, a UK panel that rewards you for your opinions about TV and the media. It is legit, but it does not pay cash, and surveys get scarce after a few months. Below is what I found, and which sites I recommend instead.

Legit, but no cash rewards and few surveys
A UK-only panel about TV, radio, newspapers and games. It pays £5 Amazon vouchers or charity donations, and you pick one type for good at sign-up.

The short answer
TRP Surveys is legit. It is a UK survey panel that rewards you for answering surveys about what you watch, read, play and listen to. It has a low payout threshold and pays automatically.
But it does not offer cash rewards: you get Amazon vouchers or a charity donation, and you choose one for good when you register. Survey availability also tends to drop after a few months. If you want to earn extra cash, you are better off joining other sites.
- Low payout threshold: 20 credits for a £5 voucher
- Processes payment automatically
- Mobile-friendly: surveys arrive by email
- You help shape the future of TV, radio, newspapers and games
- Limited earning opportunities
- No cash rewards offered
- Rigid and limited reward system
- UK residents only
- Survey availability tends to drop after a few months

Is TRP Surveys legit and safe?
Yes, TRP Surveys is legit, since it rewards you for answering its surveys. But it has some obvious drawbacks. Here is what you should know before you join.
- No cash rewards
TRP Surveys pays in credits, not cash. You get Amazon vouchers or a charity donation. It would have been more convenient if it also offered payment via PayPal.
- You choose your reward once
You pick the reward type during registration, and you cannot change it later. Whatever you choose is what you keep receiving every time you reach 20 credits.
- Surveys get scarce
TRP Surveys only contacts you when it has a survey it thinks is relevant to you, so there is no guarantee when that will be. Based on feedback from several other members, survey availability is decent at first, but tends to drop after a few months.
- UK only, with restrictions
You must live in the UK and be at least 16. If you work in market research or the media industry, you cannot take part.
My takeTRP Surveys is a decent survey site to join if you don’t mind receiving Amazon vouchers. But if you are looking to earn cash, then this site is not for you. The real value this site offers, in my opinion, is that you will be able to influence what you can watch, read, play, and listen to.
How you earn on TRP Surveys
There are 2 ways to earn. Paid surveys are the main one. Tap one to read more.
Paid surveysCredits per survey
There is no member dashboard to log in to. Every survey you can answer is sent to you by email, and the email tells you the reward you will get.
Click the link in the email and answer the qualifying questions first. If you pass the screening, you answer the actual survey. If you don’t qualify, better luck next time. Once you complete the survey, you receive the credits promised.
The surveys are usually about what you watch, read, play and listen to, so they help shape the future of TV, radio, newspapers and games.
Referral program5 credits each
To invite people, you fill in a short survey-like form with the email addresses of the people you want to invite. TRP Surveys then sends them an invite email.
You and the person you invited both receive 5 credits once both of you have completed 5 surveys. In my opinion, 5 surveys are a lot and usually take a long time, since there is no guarantee you receive surveys regularly. So don’t expect to earn this reward quickly.

How much can you make?
It mostly depends on how many surveys you can complete. Every survey has a specific research purpose and may not be relevant to all members, so TRP Surveys only contacts you when it has a survey it thinks is relevant to you.
Based on feedback from several other members, survey availability is pretty decent in the beginning, but it tends to drop after a few months of membership.
So I would say the overall earning potential of this site isn’t that good. You will be able to earn your first voucher fairly quickly, but you want a site you can earn rewards from for the long haul.
How you get paid
| Reward | Minimum | How it works |
|---|---|---|
| Amazon voucher | 20 credits (£5) | Converted automatically when you reach 20 credits |
| Charity donation | 20 credits (£5) | Donated automatically when you reach 20 credits |
You choose the reward type during registration. This is a one-time choice, so make up your mind before you sign up. The threshold is low, which is good, but it is a very rigid system, in my opinion. Overall, I am not impressed with the reward options TRP Surveys offers.

How to join TRP Surveys
TRP Surveys is open to any UK resident over the age of 16. If you work in market research or the media industry, you are not eligible.
To join, you go through the registration survey. Once you have completed it, you are a member of the panel. Remember that you choose your reward type during this process, and you cannot change it later.
