Tick App Review – Worth It? (What To Expect)

Tick Rating

Tick is not a great app to use if you want to earn extra cash. It doesn’t pay well and at the time of writing this review, it doesn’t offer cash rewards via PayPal.

Tick is an Android app that pays you coins for watching videos. I tried it to see if it is worth your time. Below is how it works, what you can cash out, and which apps and sites I recommend instead.

Personally Tested Re-tested Oct 2026

Legit, but the rewards are too low to be worth it

You need 1,000,000+ coins for a $1.5 to $2 gift card, with a 10% fee. No PayPal yet.

Good for you ifYou have an Android phone and only want to let videos play for a tiny gift card.
Skip it ifYou want cash through PayPal, you have an iPhone, or you want to earn more than pocket change.

The short answer

Tick is legit, since you can earn rewards from it. It pays you coins for watching videos, completing offers and referring friends.

But it does not pay well: you need more than 1,000,000 coins for a reward worth around $1.5 to $2, and every redemption has a 10% service fee. At the time of writing, it does not offer cash rewards via PayPal. The app is also a bit clunky. In my opinion, it is not a great app to use if you want to earn extra cash.

What I like
  • Available more or less worldwide
  • Easy to earn coins: you just let videos play
  • A two-level referral program
What I don’t like
  • Low rewards
  • Limited earning opportunities for a GPT app
  • Does not offer PayPal as a payout option yet
  • A 10% service fee on every redemption
  • Android only, and the app does not give a good user experience

My experience with Tick

I installed Tick, watched videos for coins, looked at the offers, the referral program and the rewards. This is what I did, and what I did not test.

Is Tick legit and safe?

Yes, Tick is legit, since you can earn rewards from it. But that does not mean you should install it. Here is what you should know first.

  • Very low rewards

Most rewards need more than 1,000,000 coins and are only worth around $1.5 to $2. At 100 coins per video, it takes a lot of time to get there.

  • A 10% fee on every redemption

Tick charges a 10% service fee every time you redeem. That is very high, and higher than on most other GPT apps, in my experience.

  • No PayPal yet

The PayPal option says “Coming Soon”. Until then, you mostly get gift cards, and which ones depends on your country.

  • A clunky app with many ads

Videos and offers sometimes load slowly, even on a fast connection, and you see a lot of pop-up ads that you have to close.

  • Support is hard to find

The app has no contact form and no contact information. I had to look at its Google Play page to find the support email address.

My takeIn my opinion, Tick is not a great app to use if you want to earn extra cash. It doesn’t pay well, and at the time of writing this review, it doesn’t offer cash rewards via PayPal. It also doesn’t help that the overall user experience it provides isn’t that great. You are better off investing your time in apps or sites that have better earning potential.

Tick pays very little for your time. These apps and sites have better earning potential, and most offer cash rewards.

How you earn on Tick

There are 3 ways to earn. All of them pay in coins. Tap one to read more.

Watching videos100 coins per chest
Watching videos to earn on Tick

A video starts playing as soon as you open the app. You just let it play. A treasure chest icon in the upper-right corner fills up while the video plays. When the bar is full, you get 100 coins, and it starts again.

You can switch to a different window while a video plays and still earn. Tick seldom runs out of videos. From time to time, a pop-up video ad appears, which you have to close to keep earning.

Paid offers10,000 to 20,000 coins
Paid offers on Tick

Go to the Earn section to find offers. Most ask you to download and play a mobile game. Some ask you to sign up for a free trial or answer surveys and questions. Read the instructions carefully: if you miss one step, you do not get the reward.

There is a decent number of offers, but it pales in comparison with the most popular GPT sites and apps.

Referral program10% + 5%
Tick referral program

Share your invite code. You get 10% every time someone you invited earns, and 5% when their referrals earn. The app does not ask for the code at registration, so remind your friends to enter it on the referral page.

How much can you make?

You only earn 100 coins per video. If you only rely on videos, it takes a lot of time to earn the 1,000,000+ coins you need for a reward.

Paid offers typically add around 10,000 to 20,000 coins each, but it still takes quite a while to hit the threshold. And 1,000,000+ coins are only worth around $1.5 to $2. That is why its earning potential is very low, and the main reason I do not recommend it.

How you get paid

MethodMinimumFee
Gift cards (depending on your country)Usually more than 1,000,000 coins, worth around $1.5 to $210%
PayPal“Coming Soon”Not available yet

All the ways to earn pay you in coins, which you redeem for rewards. The number of coins depends on the reward you want. The payout system is straightforward, but it would be better with PayPal. If you prefer PayPal, see the top sites that pay via PayPal.

Who can join, and how

Tick does not say which countries it is available in, but as far as I can tell, it is available more or less worldwide. Search for it on Google Play: if it shows up, it is available in your country.

Tick is mobile-only, and really only for Android. The site mentions an iOS version, but the link does not lead anywhere, and I could not find one. On an iPhone, see the best money-making apps for iOS.

When you open the app for the first time, you are logged in right away. To use your account on more than one device, or keep your coins if you uninstall the app, log in with your Google account on your profile page.
