Tangere App Review: Is it Legit? (Here’s the Lowdown)

Tangere Rating

If you are looking for a guaranteed way to earn, then Tangere is not for you. To earn from this app, you actually have to be chosen as a winner of one of their weekly raffle draws.

I tested the Tangere app to see if it is worth your time. It is legit, but its surveys only give you entries for a weekly raffle, not guaranteed money. Below is what I found, and which sites I recommend instead.

Legit, but you only win raffle entries, not guaranteed money

Good for you ifYou live in the Philippines and do not mind spending a few minutes a week for a chance to win a prize.

The short answer

Tangere is legit, because it really hands out prizes to the winners. The surveys are short and easy, and you qualify for every survey in the app.

But you do not earn money from the surveys. You only earn points, which are entries for a weekly raffle. If you do not win, you get nothing. If you are looking for a guaranteed way to earn, this app is not for you.

What I like
  • You always qualify for every survey
  • Surveys take less than a minute
  • The app is user-friendly, without pop-up ads
  • You get referral points as soon as your referral installs the app
What I don’t like
  • No guaranteed rewards, only raffle entries
  • Limited earning opportunities
  • Only available in the Philippines
  • Android and Huawei only, no iOS app

My experience with Tangere

Is Tangere legit and safe?

Yes, Tangere is legit, because it really hands out prizes to the winners. But that does not automatically mean it is worth your time. Here is what you should know.

  • You only win if you are drawn

Every survey you answer only gives you points, which are entries for that survey’s weekly raffle. There is no guarantee you will ever earn anything.

  • Few surveys

I only came across two surveys during my test. That means few raffle entries. You do not have to qualify for the surveys, which is probably why there are not many.

  • Philippines only, and no iOS app

Tangere is only available in the Philippines, and the surveys are in the local language. The app works on Android and Huawei devices. It used to be on iOS, but it was not available there when I tested.

  • You need GCash

Cash prizes are sent through GCash. If you plan to join, make sure you have a GCash account.

My takeIf you are looking for a guaranteed way to earn, then this app is not for you. To earn from it, you have to be chosen as a winner of one of the weekly raffle draws. The good thing is that the surveys will not take up a lot of your time. So if you do not mind spending a few minutes on the app every week, you can use it. Just set your expectations properly.

Tangere only gives you raffle entries. The top sites in your country pay you for every survey you complete.

How you earn on Tangere

There are 2 ways to earn points. Both only give you entries for the weekly raffle. Tap one to read more.

SurveysRaffle entries
Tangere surveys

Surveys are the main way to get something out of this app. Each survey shows the prize you can win if you are chosen as the winner of its raffle. When you answer it, you automatically join that survey’s raffle, which is drawn weekly.

The surveys are easy. Most have four or five questions, usually multiple choice, and take less than a minute. You earn around 3 to 5 points per question, so a survey with more questions gives you more points.

You do not have to go through a qualifying process, so you qualify for every survey in the app. But I only came across two surveys during my test.

Referral program30 points each
Tangere referral program

Share your invite link. When someone clicks it and installs the app, they become your referral, and you get 30 points right away. On many other apps, your referral first has to meet a requirement.

But again, the points are only raffle entries. I personally would not invite people to an app where there is no guarantee they will earn anything.

How much can you make?

You can win up to 1,000 pesos in a weekly raffle, which is a significant amount. But there is no guarantee you will ever win.

The app does not have a lot of surveys, so you will not collect many points to improve your chances, unless you spend a lot of time inviting other people.

So the earning potential of Tangere is very low, because there is no guarantee you will earn anything from it.

Prizes and how you get paid

PrizeHow you get itNotes
Cash, usually 500 to 1,000 pesosThrough GCashUsually multiple winners per raffle
Mobile phone, dinner packages, hotel staycation for twoIn some rafflesShown in the survey before you answer

The draw date is always shown in the survey you answered, so you know when to expect the results. You do not earn money from the surveys themselves. If you prefer guaranteed ways to earn cash, see the top sites that pay via PayPal.

More surveys than I saw1 comment

A reader who uses the app wrote that several surveys are usually available each week, mostly about current events. The points still only count for the raffle.

“Typically, several surveys are available weekly as topics are mostly based on current events. One will easily accumulate points for raffle only though.”
