I tested the SurveyMonkey Rewards app to see if it is worth your time. It is legit and easy to use, but it has few surveys, low rewards and no cash payouts. Below is what I found, and which sites I recommend instead.

SurveyMonkey Rewards is legit. It really rewards you for answering surveys. The surveys are short, and the app is user-friendly and not spammy.
But there are not a lot of surveys, they pay around $0.25 to $0.5 each, and you cannot earn cash. The only reward close to cash is an Amazon gift card. It is only for people in the US.

Is SurveyMonkey Rewards legit and safe?
Yes, SurveyMonkey Rewards is legit, because it really rewards you for answering surveys. But that does not automatically make it worth your time. Here is what you should know.
- There are few surveys
There are not a lot of surveys available. If you get an invite, answer it as soon as possible. Allowing your location can give you more invites, because the app invites you to surveys near certain locations, but that is no guarantee.
- Low rewards
Surveys pay around $0.25 to $0.5 each. Even with a $5 threshold, it takes some patience to redeem a gift card.
- No cash
You can only redeem Amazon gift cards or donate your earnings to charity. If you want cash, this app is not for you.
- Keep access to your email
A reader who changed her email address wrote in 2024 that she could not collect her money without the old login, and that SurveyMonkey did not respond. Keep the email you signed up with.
- Download the right app
SurveyMonkey and SurveyMonkey Anywhere are apps for creating surveys. Only SurveyMonkey Rewards pays you to take them.
My takeIn my opinion, SurveyMonkey Rewards is not a bad survey app. But it is not great either. It is a letdown that you cannot earn cash from it, but if earning Amazon gift cards is enough for you, then this can be a decent option, since it is not very complicated to earn rewards from it.
How you earn on SurveyMonkey Rewards
There is only one way to earn: paid surveys.

From time to time, you are invited to a survey. If you allow push notifications, a tap on the notification opens the app and shows the survey and what it pays.
You first answer qualifying questions. If you qualify, you take the survey and get the reward. If not, you move on. After every 3 surveys you do not qualify for, you still get a reward. I was only disqualified twice, so I cannot say how much it is.

How much can you make?
It mostly depends on how often you can complete a survey, and there are not a lot of surveys. You typically earn around $0.25 to $0.5 per survey.
So even with a low payout threshold, it takes patience to reach it and redeem an Amazon gift card. Allowing your location may give you more surveys, but that is not a guarantee.
Overall, the app has a low earning potential.
