Warning: readers report payouts that never arrive, and money lost on upgrades
Many readers told me Star-Clicks did not pay them after they reached the $50 threshold and sent the documents it asked for, and several lost money on paid upgrades. When I tried to cash out myself, Star-Clicks asked for so much private information that I gave up. I do not recommend Star-Clicks. If you still use it, do not pay for an upgrade.
I tested Star-Clicks myself, with a free account and a paid Gold membership, and tried to cash out. It pays more per click than most PTC sites, but the payout conditions are outrageous and most people will not make a profit. Below is what I found, and which sites I recommend instead.

A paid-to-click site with a $50 threshold, monthly upgrade fees, and document demands at cashout that stop many people from getting paid.

Earning money on Star-Clicks is possible, and it pays more per click than most other PTC sites. But it is just not worth it, as most people will not be able to actually make a profit.
As a free member, the $50 threshold is very hard to reach, and the site pushes you to pay a monthly fee to upgrade. When you finally reach the threshold, Star-Clicks asks for a lot of documents with private info before it pays. Many readers say they were never paid. I would clearly suggest you use other ways to earn online.

I tested Star-Clicks thoroughly, with a free account and a month with the paid Gold membership, and I recorded my attempt to cash out. This is what I did, and what I did not test.

Is Star-Clicks legit and safe?
Star-Clicks has paid some people, but it is not a safe place for your time or your money. Here are the red flags.
- Outrageous payout requirements
What you are not told until you reach the threshold is that you must send a lot of documents with private info. One is a copy of your passport or government ID, translated and officially approved by a lawyer if it is not in English. That would cost more than you could ever earn on Star-Clicks. I gave up on my own payout because of it.
- Readers report payouts that never arrive
Many readers wrote that they sent every document Star-Clicks asked for and were still not paid, or received only part of their balance, and that support stopped answering. Some readers did receive auto-payouts of part of their balance.
- Monthly upgrade fees you may not earn back
The site pushes you to upgrade to Gold or Platinum. It is not clear on the website that the fee is monthly. In my own month with Gold, clicking ads did not even cover the cost of the membership. For most people, it will not be possible to even make back the investment.
- No guarantee of ads
There is no guarantee how many ads you get, even with a paid membership. Readers report that the number of ads drops when they get close to the threshold.
- Do not trust the 5-star reviews
Star-Clicks has many 5-star reviews on Trustpilot. They do not look natural to me: none of them give any specific info other than that it is a great site to earn.
My takeEven though Star-Clicks pays more per click than most other PTC sites, it is just not worth it, as most people will not be able to make a profit. The payout conditions are outrageous. I do not trust them, and I would clearly suggest you use other ways to earn online.
How you earn on Star-Clicks
There are 2 ways to earn, plus an HTML code for website owners. Tap one to read more.
Paid ads$0.01-$0.02 per ad
Under the PPC Ads tab, you click an ad, wait for the page to load, and close it. There is no captcha and no timer, so it only takes a few seconds per ad. With a basic membership, it takes about 100 ads to earn $1, where most PTC sites need 1000+.
The downside is that basic members get very few ads. To get more, Star-Clicks wants you to upgrade, and even then there is no guarantee how many ads you get.
Referral program$0.08 to $10 per referral
You get $0.08 when a referral signs up as a basic member, $5 if they upgrade to Gold, and $10 if they upgrade to Platinum. So you mainly earn when the people you invite pay. I would not recommend this site to my friends.
Star-Clicks HTML codeNeeds a website
The amounts on the upgrade page assume you also embed the Star-Clicks HTML code on your own website and earn from clicks there. That is not a realistic way to earn for most people.
How much can you make?
Very little. Without an upgrade, you will have to wait several months or even a year before you can hope to reach the $50 threshold.
On the upgrade page, Star-Clicks says you can earn around $7 per day with Platinum. I tested the paid membership myself, and you cannot earn what it claims just by clicking ads. That amount includes the HTML code on your own website.
Even with an upgrade, you need a good strategy to earn back the monthly fee, unless you invite a lot of people who also upgrade. For most people, it will not be possible to make a profit.

You can only get paid once you have verified your phone number. Then, before Star-Clicks processes a payout, it asks for documents with private info, including a copy of your passport or government ID that must be translated and approved by a lawyer if it is not in English.
With auto-payout, you are told you get paid faster if you are active, but Star-Clicks does not specify when you get paid or the threshold. I have never seen a site that does not want to specify this.
What 160 comments told me
This review has 160 comments since 2020: 84 from readers and 76 replies from me. These are the things readers write about most.
Readers sent the documents Star-Clicks asked for and were still not paid, or received only part of their balance. Many say support stopped answering. Reports continue into 2025.
Readers who were about to pay for Gold or Platinum, some after seeing 5-star reviews elsewhere, and decided not to.
Readers paid for upgrades that did not earn back the fee, or saw the number of ads drop as they got close to the threshold.
A few readers say they received auto-payouts or a withdrawal. Auto-payouts are partial amounts, and you never know when they come.

Hi Mikael, I have been a keen follower of your page for the past 2+ years. Keep up the good work. However, I have an issue with making my withdrawal as I have gotten to the threshold. Please I would like to ask a question. At the point of withdrawal, some requirements were sent to me.
How did you sort out the tax confirmation details? What did you provide? Did you use a personal or company tax details? Secondly, if the withdrawal does not work out, is it possible to do a balance transfer with you, since I trust your person. (I am just trying to ensure that everything is settled to enable me withdraw after 2 years of focused clicking). I am not saying they are not getting paid. They likely have done all the verification. But they have mainly earned by recruiting others and getting them to pay and are not transparent about that most people will not make a profit unless they recruit a lot of new members.
That is why I am against the whole business model, as I explain in the review above. Therefore, I do not trust them and do not want to share any private info with them and they are asking for so much info that it because very suspicious, in my opinion. That is why I decided to give up on it and stay away.

You can earn A LOT of money by blogging. How much you on average can earn per visit depends a lot on the niche your blog is in and the countries your audience is from. Some blogs can earn $50-$100 per 1000 visitor and other blogs might only earn $5-$10 per 1000 visitors.
But the most important thing to understand when it comes to blogging is that it requires time and effort. And you need to learn to do it the right way and not expect to start earning right away. If you do it that way, you can potentially earn really good money eventually.

Hi, I am so disappointed that the Star-Clicks turned to be a total scam. I am a single parent and I was looking for side hustle I can earn money from when Star-Clicks was part of possible side hustle. I opened 3 accounts and funded them to the gold level. After a month all accounts were downgraded to Silver again. When I try to withdraw, they requested documents. I have send all documents and they are not responding. All documents are send and no feedback is received from them. I feel like a fool. I have lost money. If only I could get my money back and I do not care about the data I used to click on the adds.

It is a total scam, I contacted the star-clicks team because I want to withdraw my earnings from the platform and now they ask me for a series of precautions or else my account will be suspended for the simple fact of withdrawing the funds that I earned in 2 years of work. This was the letter issued to the support team: “Good evening, I want to issue a complaint due to a series of precautions requested by your company which I consider unnecessary and redundant, since, to verify the account, a series of requirements that you requested have already been sent in advance. I was surprised today when I requested for a payout and a mail was sent to me. I was told that I have to fill out a form and attached some documents along with it. I was never informed about this from the very beginning when I joined the site. I upgraded to Platinum and I have been a member since 2020. Theoretically, yes. But that would take you maybe 1.5 years. And some people say that with a free account when they finally get closer to the payout threshold the number of ads fall so it becomes harder to earn.
This one is TRUE mine is free account from the beginning I was getting 10-18 ad daily but once I reached $28 then everything changed nowadays I receive 2-5 ad daily. So it seems not genuine thing

I have personally experienced it and I have lost faith with star clicks. Unfortunately it was my first experience trying out online clicks and made me lose confidence completely in all other sites. Sadly also, I had referred so many friends and family whom I now feel obliged to ask to pull out before it’s too late but my worry is I don’t know how to even start. Of late even the number of ads available to all has drastically reduced. For example those on silver membership get one or two ads a day instead of the maximum 11 ads they used to get.
Unfortunately, it is very hard to make a profit on Star Clicks unless you invite a lot of friends and do not care if they lose money, which is just unethical, in my opinion. And the payout conditions on Star Clicks are just outrageous. Overall, just a platform to stay away from, in my opinion.

I don’t know where to commence. This website ruined my time and bundles including my referrals. I submitted all the document requested for my Gold Account Level withdrawal of 50 dollars only to realize they didn’t sent (went silent for a while; only automation email text) and then decided to request auto-payment of 10 dollars as per t&c however received 5 dollars.
Stay away from this to be safe. It’s so painful because i had to pay back one of my referral with my own money and loss of registered amount of 19.9 dollars as well as investment via PTC.

I have upgraded my Silver membership to Gold membership 2 times for 29$, but that really was a loss because the whole months ad click never returned my money. Just loss of money and time both. When I reached 57$ I wanted to withdraw. But they required a lot of complex document from my Bank. Then I contacted Starclick support. They said to turn on auto payout. I just got 2 times $10 + $10 = $20. But they never paid my rest of the amount. I’ve contacted them more than 60 times But they said to get full money I have to upgrade account and click ads again for a long time.

I am from iran and i upgrade to gold after one month i reached 50$ They asked for my identity card after that i request my money and they sent my balance to my bitcoin wallet. Gold is valid for one month and for next month you should pay the fee again. If you do not click all the links you can not reach 50$. Before i reached 50$ Everyday they sent me auto payout notification but i did not use it.

It’s a total scam, Even if you subscribe to gold membership and you don’t own a website then you’ll still need around 100 days to reach minimum payout but in the end they do not pay you and suddenly there support team will also stop responding.

When I reached 57$ I wanted to withdraw. But they required a lot of complex document from my Bank. Then I contacted Starclick support. They said to turn on auto payout. I just got 2 times $10 + $10 = $20. But they never paid my rest of the amount. I’ve contacted them more than 60 times But they said to get full money I have to upgrade account and click ads again for a long time.
So now I have understand they are a tricky and phishing site. Technically they scam people and absorb their money.
DONT’ INVEST PEOPLE…….. IN THIS STARCLICK. THIS IS A CHEATING & SCAM PROJECT…

You will get a option to upgrade until you reach 10$ ,after that the upgrade page will say “number of upgrade limit reached” .When you contact the customer care they will say that there is not enough ads to give to the gold members.So I made another account and I saw an UPGRADE option in it.
I spend my 500 days clicking ads and i got 37$ .When the starclicks feels like I am going to reach my 50$ and only few weeks left to withdraw it,They suddenly reduced the number of ads to 3(previously it was 10 ).now I need to click 433 days to get the target.Who knows they reduce it to zero when I reach $49.99.
Dont get in trouble guyz.

Just be aware that the fee they charge is a monthly fee. And there is no guarantee you will be able to earn what they claim on their sales page. That is why I do not recommend it as you can easily end up losing money instead.

I just need to add a few more dollars to upgrade to gold. I decided to first read up all the reviews about this site before I proceed any further. I am glad I came across your article, because if I went with the reviews from Trustpilot, I would have been in trouble. They have a 5 star rating on Trustpilot. How is that even possible?
It is, unfortunately, easy to just buy a lot of 5-star reviews on Trustpilot. And when you look at the reviews of Star-Clicks on Trustpilot it is very clear that they are not natural. Not even the best of the best sites have that many positive reviews right after each other. You can also see that none of these positive reviews give any specific info other than it is a great site to earn which is a clear red flag.

A couple of years ago, I joined Star-Clicks. They demanded me to upgrade either a golden or platinum membership. So did and also invited more than ten my friends and family members. When my credit reached 50, I asked them to send me my withdrawal. They said, first of all, you send your home address, utility bills, and some unnecessary documents that have nothing to do with the matter. However, I sent it. They refused to give me my payment and replied that these documents were not actually enough for this payment.
I feel really shame to invite my some friends to this garbage site. And still have no explanation of how I did and why I did.
I firmly say that this is a scam and has some hidden features that actually make this site fake and fraud.

I would recommend NOT to upgrade. There is NO guarantee you will be able to earn what it says on the sales page. In fact, I have heard from many members that they do NOT get as many ads as promised. So you have to be lucky to even just get to cover your monthly fee. That is why I write in the review that most people end up losing money.
So I definitely do not recommend upgrading. You will not be able to earn what your calculation shows. So if you decide to upgrade, do not expect that and do not invest your money if you cannot afford to lose them.
