The short answer

SquishyCash has shut down. It is no longer a way to earn extra money, and you can no longer join it.

When it was running, it was legit. It paid you for offers and other activities, and it had been around for many years. But the website was very old-fashioned and not made for phones, and the $15 payout threshold could have been lower. It did not offer anything you could not find on other GPT sites.

What I like
  • Several ways to earn
  • Paid through PayPal, with no fees
  • Anyone could join, wherever you lived
  • Good support: tickets, a FAQ section and a forum
What I don’t like
  • SquishyCash has shut down
  • The $15 payout threshold could have been lower
  • The website was not optimized for phones
  • A very old-fashioned design that made it less pleasant to use

My experience with SquishyCash

I tested SquishyCash on and off for several years before it shut down. This is what I did myself, and what I did not test.

Was SquishyCash legit and safe?

SquishyCash has shut down, so you can no longer join or earn on it. When it was running, it was legit, because it did what it promised and paid you for the offers you completed. These were the catches.

  • It has shut down

SquishyCash is no longer a way to earn some extra money on the side.

  • Trial offers could cost you money

Some trial offers asked for your credit card information. If you did not cancel before the trial period ended, the fee was charged to your card.

  • Upgrades did not guarantee more money

The membership upgrades cost part of your account balance and only gave you more chances to “catch” new members as referrals. They were no guarantee that you would earn more.

  • Not made for phones

There was no app, and the website was not optimized for phones. You had to zoom in to read everything, so it worked best on a computer.

  • An old-fashioned site

The design was very old-fashioned, which made it less pleasant to use than more modern sites. I tested it on and off for several years, and they did nothing to improve this.

My takeSquishyCash has shut down, so it is no longer an option. Even when it was running, I would rather recommend the top GPT sites, because SquishyCash was just not very user-friendly and it did not offer anything special. See the alternatives below.

How you earned on SquishyCash

There were 7 ways to earn. Paid offers were the main one. Tap one to read more.

Paid offersVaried per offer
SquishyCash paid offers

Offers asked you to do various things. Usually, you signed up for a website and completed a specific requirement. Other times, you made a purchase. The reward was shown right beside the offer.

The more an offer asked of you, the higher the reward. There were always offers to do, and some paid quite well, but not all of them were worth it, and you had to follow the instructions to the letter to get paid. It did not have any special offers you could not find on other GPT sites.

Paid surveysNot the highest
SquishyCash paid surveys

SquishyCash did not make its own surveys. It sent you to other survey sites, and you received the reward in your SquishyCash account when you completed a survey there. Many GPT sites work this way.

Some surveys could be done more than once, as long as the other site had surveys available. The rewards were not among the highest I have seen.

Trial offersVaried per offer

You signed up for a trial of a product or service and completed it to earn the reward. Completed offers also counted toward daily, weekly and monthly contest bonuses.

Some trial offers asked for your credit card information. You had to note when the trial ended and cancel before then, or the fee was charged to your card.

Cashback offersSaves you money

You earned a reward when you shopped at a partner site through the link in the Shopping wall. You spent your own money, so you saved a few dollars rather than earned.

If you like sites like this, the top cashback websites give better cashback options than SquishyCash did, in my opinion.

ClicksSmall rewards
SquishyCash clicks

Like on Paid-To-Click (PTC) sites, you clicked an ad and viewed it for several seconds. You did not receive a lot, but it took minimal effort.

ContestsNot guaranteed
SquishyCash contests

Most contests were about the activities on the site. Some put you against other members, others asked you to complete a set of tasks. It was not a reliable way to earn, more a bonus for what you were doing anyway.

Referral program$1 + 25%

You shared your referral link or put a referral banner on your website. You earned $1 for every referral who became active, plus 25% of your direct referrals’ earnings.

You also earned a percentage from your referrals’ referrals, up to 5 levels down. SquishyCash paid this itself, so it was not taken from your referrals’ income. In my opinion, it was a pretty good referral system.

How much could you make?

It depended on how active you were. There were more or less always offers to do, so you could earn a bit every day. With plenty of active referrals, you could reach the payout threshold quite quickly.

Some offers paid in chips, which you could convert into cash: 1 chip was worth $0.01. There were also 6 membership upgrades, paid from your account balance, that gave you more chances to “catch” members who signed up without being referred. The more chances, the more expensive the upgrade, and none of them guaranteed you would earn more.

Overall, SquishyCash had decent earning potential, but it did not offer anything special, and the old-fashioned design made it less pleasant to use than the more modern sites.

How SquishyCash paid

Most activities paid a specific amount in dollars. You could request a payout once your balance reached $15.

MethodMinimumNotes
PayPal$15No fees
Payza$15No fees
Amazon gift cards$15Your earnings converted into a gift card

What I liked was the speed: when you requested a payout, SquishyCash guaranteed you would receive it the next day before 11:59 pm EST, without fees. For sites with lower thresholds, see the fastest paying survey sites.
