The short answer
Sproutful is legit. It paid me, and I show my payment proof and how fast I got paid in my video. You mainly earn by answering surveys, and the disqualification rate was lower than on other survey sites when I tested it.
But it is only available in the US, and it does not offer a lot of earning opportunities, so you have to be patient. It works best as a decent secondary site.

Is Sproutful legit and safe?
Yes, Sproutful is legit. I have been paid by it. But that does not automatically mean it is worth your time. Here is what you should know.
- US only
Sproutful is only available in the US at the moment. If you live somewhere else, it is not for you.
- Never use a VPN
Sproutful can detect if you live in the US or not. Using a VPN to answer surveys will get your account banned, and it is unethical, because you try to make the site think you live somewhere else.
- Limited earning opportunities
Sproutful does not offer a lot of earning opportunities, so you have to be patient. It works best as a secondary site next to others.
- Some game goals ask for purchases
Some game goals ask you to make in-game purchases. You do not have to do them, especially if they are not worth it.
My takeSproutful is a decent survey site, in my opinion. You can easily earn by answering surveys, and the website is mobile-friendly. Its biggest downside is that it does not offer a lot of earning opportunities, so you will have to be patient. Be that as it may, it can still serve as a decent secondary site to earn from.
How you earn on Sproutful
There are 4 ways to earn, plus bonus points when you level up. Surveys are the main one. Tap one to read more.
Paid surveysMain earner
When you log in, you immediately see all available surveys, with how long each one takes and what it pays. That helps you prioritize when you are short on time.
You first answer a few qualifying questions. If you are disqualified, you earn no points, but you get some experience points (XP). If you complete the survey, you get points and XP.
When I tested it, the disqualification rate was lower than on other survey sites, and the number of surveys was quite decent, so there are opportunities to earn on any given day.
Playing gamesPer goal
Install a featured game and complete its goals within a certain time to earn the reward. Most goals ask you to reach certain levels. Some ask for in-game purchases, which you do not have to do.
There are a good number of games. Always open the game from Sproutful’s menu, so the platform can track your progress.
Quest GardenBonus rewards
When you take surveys, you discover new quests if you have an open slot. You can have up to 3 active quests at a time, and you get a quest’s reward instantly when you finish it. Some quests are time-limited, and you can remove a quest anytime.
The first quest you complete each day helps your plant grow, once per day. After your plant grows 7 times, you unlock the mystery chest with random rewards. It takes some trial and error to find the best strategy.
Daily streaksBonus points
Complete a survey every day and you receive bonus points. You do not have to do anything special: just keep answering surveys every day.
Membership levelsBonus points
The experience points from surveys raise your membership level. Every time you level up, you receive bonus points. After a while, these bonus points add up to a decent amount.

How much can you make?
You will not get rich or earn a full-time income with Sproutful. That is how it is for survey sites in general.
You can still earn a decent amount, because there are a good number of surveys on any given day. On average, new members reach the threshold within a week of signing up, sometimes within a few days. The bonus points from leveling up help too.
Overall, I would say its earning potential is quite good for a survey site. Just keep answering surveys, so you quickly earn enough points to redeem a reward.

You earn points for surveys and bonuses. 500 points equal $5, which was the lowest threshold I found. Sproutful recently added PayPal and Venmo next to gift cards and prepaid Visa cards.
