Silencio pays you in crypto for measuring noise with your phone and for voice recordings. I tested it to see how it works and what you can realistically earn. Below is what I found, how the payouts work, and which sites I recommend instead.
Legit, but low rewards and an awkward crypto payout
Earn USDC for voice recordings and $SLC tokens for measuring noise. Withdrawals only go to Peaq wallets, and 20% is locked for 90 days.

The short answer
Silencio is legit. It pays you in crypto for voice recordings that train AI, and in its own $SLC tokens for measuring noise levels with its app.
But the rewards are low, and it is hard to get your recordings approved. You can only withdraw to a crypto wallet that supports the Peaq network, and 20% of every USDC withdrawal is converted into $SLC and locked for 90 days. I would only join it if you believe in the future of its $SLC tokens.

Is Silencio legit and safe?
Yes, Silencio is legit. But that does not mean it is the right opportunity for you. Here is what you should know before you start.
- Part of every withdrawal is locked
20% of the USDC you withdraw is converted into $SLC tokens and locked. After 90 days, you can transfer the unlocked $SLC to a wallet that supports the token. So do not expect to receive the full amount when you withdraw.
- Only a few crypto wallets work
You can only withdraw USDC to a crypto wallet that supports the Peaq network, which is not very common.
- Recordings are hard to get approved
Silencio reviews every recording. It is very particular about background noise, so record in a quiet room with a good microphone.
- The app drains your battery and listens
The app relies on background audio monitoring and location tracking. Your battery runs down a lot faster, and you need to be comfortable letting it record the sounds around you.
- Raffle prizes expire
You have only 21 days to claim a raffle prize. If you do not, the tokens can be burned or returned to the reward pool.
My takeIn my opinion, Silencio is not for everyone. If your goal is to find ways to earn extra cash or even crypto, this is not the most ideal option. It will take a lot of time to earn a significant amount from it because of the low rewards it offers. I would only suggest you join this platform if you believe in the future of its $SLC tokens.
Silencio’s rewards are low, and part of every withdrawal is locked. The top sites in your country pay more, with convenient payout options.

There are 4 ways to earn. Recording projects pay in USDC; the others in $SLC tokens. Tap one to read more.
Recording projectsUSDC per hour
Log in to the member dashboard and click “Train AI” to see the projects that match your profile. Click “Join Opportunity” for the details, then “Join” to get to the recording screen. Most projects ask you to record text-to-speech, commands or conversational audio, to help AI recognize speech across languages and accents.
Record in a quiet room with a good microphone. Silencio reviews each recording, and you only earn when it is approved. You can keep submitting until the project’s total hours are met.
Each project pays a set hourly rate in USDC, based on the total length of your approved submissions. For example, if a project pays 10 USDC per hour and you submit 30 minutes, you earn 5 USDC. Most projects also give raffle tickets. When I tested it, around 5 to 8 projects were running at any given time, but that depends on your profile and location.
Measuring noise with the app$SLC each month
Open the app and let it measure the sound levels around you. Silencio maps noise across areas and rewards you for filling in missing data. The more locations you measure, the more in-app coins you earn. You can let it run in the background while you walk or commute.
At the end of each month, you receive $SLC tokens based on your ranking in its league system. Keep in mind that the app drains your battery a lot faster.
Monthly raffleLuck only
Every in-app coin you earn becomes a raffle ticket. At the end of each month, Silencio takes a snapshot of your tickets, and a blockchain-based raffle hands out $SLC. If you win, you see mystery cubes in the app. Claim them within 21 days, or the tokens can be burned or returned to the reward pool.
Referral program200 coins + 20%
Share your referral code. When someone enters it at sign-up, you both get 200 in-app coins, and you get a 20% commission on what they earn.
Some recording projects have their own invite link. You earn 2 USDC for every accepted hour your referrals complete on that project. Not all projects have a referral program.

How much can you make?
It is quite hard to say. It depends on your profile, your location and how often you use the app.
From what I observed while testing, it is quite hard to get your recordings approved, so earning a significant amount from the recording projects is not easy. The only thing you can control is how often you use the app, and that is limited by how fast it drains your battery.
That is why I would say its earning potential is not that great. The limited choice of crypto wallets does not help either.
How you get paid
| Reward | How you withdraw | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| USDC from recording projects | To a crypto wallet that supports the Peaq network, from 1 USDC | 20% is converted into $SLC and locked for 90 days |
| $SLC tokens from the app, league and raffle | To a crypto wallet that supports the token | Paid out at the end of each month. Locked $SLC unlocks after 90 days. |
The Silencio payout system is different from most earning apps. You do not get paid directly for each task. Your activity becomes coins, and the coins decide how many $SLC tokens you receive each month through the raffle and the league airdrop. The USDC you earn from projects goes to your Silencio wallet.
Because a portion of your earnings always stays on the platform for a while, you need to be patient. If you prefer sites that let you withdraw the full amount, see the top sites that let you earn Bitcoin instead.
