Preely pays you in gift cards for testing prototypes of apps and websites. I tested it to see if it is worth your time. It is legit, but the rewards are fairly low and there are not many studies. Below is what I found, and which sites I recommend instead.

Legit, but low rewards and gift cards only
A user testing panel for Denmark, Germany, Finland, Norway and Sweden. Studies pay gift cards by email, with no threshold.

The short answer
Preely is legit, because you can really earn rewards from the studies it offers. It is a remote user testing platform: companies upload prototypes of apps and websites, and you test them and give feedback.
But it offers fairly low rewards for a user testing site, and only gift cards, no cash. There are not a lot of studies, so earning from it regularly is next to impossible. It is not a bad site, but it is not that good either.
- No payout threshold
- Gift cards arrive by email after every study
- Studies are short: usually 5 to 20 minutes
- Limited earning opportunities
- Fairly low rewards
- Does not offer cash rewards
- Only available in five countries
- You must give your mobile number to sign up
My experience with Preely
I signed up for Preely and looked at how its studies, rewards and support work. This is what I did myself, and what I did not test.

Is Preely legit and safe?
Yes, Preely is legit, because you can really earn rewards from its studies. But that does not automatically make it a good site to join. Here is what you should know.
- Few studies
Preely matches you with a study when one is available. There are not a lot of studies, so earning rewards from them regularly is next to impossible.
- Gift cards only
Preely does not offer cash rewards. All you can earn are gift cards from Zalando, Wolt and more. If you want cash, this is not your best choice.
- Your mobile number is required
To finish the registration, you give your mobile number and enter the code Preely sends you. If you do not like sharing your mobile number, Preely is not for you.
- Some studies record you
Some tests ask you to speak your thoughts out loud while you use a prototype. You may qualify for more tasks if you are comfortable sharing video or audio.
My takeIn my opinion, Preely is not a bad user testing site. However, it’s not that good either. If you live in a country where it is available and you don’t mind earning gift cards, you can go ahead and sign up for it. Just temper your expectations in terms of its earning potential.
Preely pays fairly low rewards, in gift cards only. These user testing sites are better options.

There is only one way to earn: user testing studies.
User testing studiesGift cards, $5 to $15+
Brands and companies upload prototypes of apps, website mockups or digital services, and Preely recruits testers to interact with them.
When Preely matches you with a study, you get an email invite, because there is no member dashboard for testers. If you accept, you get access to the study and instructions to follow. Typically, you navigate through a prototype app or website, find information on a page, or try to complete a purchase flow.
Then you give feedback in a survey. Preely checks your work, and once it is all good, it releases your reward. Tests usually last 5 to 20 minutes, including multiple-choice questions, recording your thoughts or rating your experience.
How much can you make?
It mostly depends on how often you can complete studies and how long they are. There are not a lot of studies, so you will not earn regularly.
Studies under 10 minutes usually pay a gift card of $5 or less. Studies of around 15 to 20 minutes usually pay $5 to $10, and longer studies around $15 or more. It is not the highest-paying user testing site, so its earning potential is quite low.
How you get paid
| Reward | Minimum | How you receive it |
|---|---|---|
| Gift cards: Zalando, Wolt and more | None | By email, after every study you complete |
Preely pays whatever the invite stated, as a digital gift card. It does not offer cash. If you prefer cash, see the top sites that pay via PayPal.
Who can join, devices and support
Preely is only available in Denmark, Germany, Finland, Norway and Sweden. Each country has its own panel in its own language. You sign up with your email, give your mobile number, enter the code Preely sends you, and answer a profile survey. After that, you check your email for study invites.
Most studies are website tests, so you need a computer. Some studies ask you to test a mobile app on your phone. Since there is no member dashboard to log in to, there is no point in using Preely on mobile otherwise.
For questions, check the FAQ. If you cannot find the answer, go to the Help Desk page, click the message icon in the lower right corner, choose “Send Us a Message” and fill out the form. That is the minimum required support, in my opinion.
User testing sites I recommend instead of Preely

| uTest | Software testing, paid per bug you find | $2 per pay period | 3.3 / 5 |
| Testbirds | Usability and bug tests, bank transfer or PayPal | €6 | 3 / 5 |
| Respondent | Research projects that pay well, straight to PayPal | None; paid after each project | 3 / 5 |
