Is Poll Pay Legit or a Scam? (Full Review + Rating)

Poll Pay Rating

In my opinion, Poll Pay isn’t a bad survey platform. It has its advantages like offering convenient payment methods (PayPal and gift cards), and it is easy to use. But the payment system could be better, and there are many sites that pay more.

I have tested Poll Pay on the website and the app, and it has paid me many times. Below is how it works since the new owner took over, what the payouts cost, and the problems readers report.

Personally Tested Payout Verified Last tested

Legit and pays, but a high threshold and many sites pay more

Surveys with PayPal and gift card payouts, from $25 in US dollars. Few surveys at a time and support that does not always help.

Good for you ifYou want an easy extra survey app with PayPal, and you are patient enough to reach the threshold.
Skip it ifYou want a low threshold, many surveys every day, or support you can count on.

The short answer

Poll Pay is legit. It has paid me many times. It is owned by Prodege, the company that also owns InboxDollars, and it pays through PayPal and gift cards.

But the threshold is high: $25 for PayPal in US dollars, and you pay a fee when you withdraw. You usually only have a couple of surveys at a time. Poll Pay is not a bad survey platform, but many sites pay more and have a better payment system.

What I like
  • Pays through PayPal and gift cards
  • Easy to use, on the website and the app
  • Shows the time and reward of every survey
  • A small compensation when you do not qualify
  • Available more or less globally
What I don’t like
  • High payout threshold: $25 for PayPal in US dollars
  • A fee when you withdraw
  • Limited earning opportunities for a GPT platform
  • Usually only a couple of surveys at a time
  • Support does not always help
  • I had problems getting paid before the takeover

My experience with Poll Pay

I have tested the website and the app thoroughly, before and after the new owner took over. This is what I did myself, and what I did not test.

Payment proof and my test

I know from personal experience that Poll Pay pays. I have been paid by it many times. Before the new company took over, I also had some bad experiences when I tried to cash out. I have not had issues since. In the video below, I give you an inside look, show exactly how you earn from Poll Pay, and show my payment proof.

Poll Pay pays, but many sites pay more and have a lower threshold.

Is Poll Pay legit and safe?

Yes, Poll Pay is legit. It has paid me many times. But legit does not mean problem-free. Here is what you should know before you start.

  • Older reports of payouts that did not arrive

From 2021 to 2023, readers wrote about PayPal cashouts that did not arrive, phone verification they could not complete, and support that did not reply. I had bad experiences too, before the new company took over. Since then I have not had issues, and a reader in November 2022 thanked Poll Pay for the money.

  • A high threshold and a fee

PayPal in US dollars needs $25. You also pay a fee when you withdraw. You see it before you request a payout.

  • Never use a VPN or an emulator

Faking your country is fraud. Poll Pay bans accounts that do it.

  • Game rewards are in points

Readers thought the game missions paid in dollars and then saw cents. Read the details of each game and its missions before you start.

  • Support does not always help

There are things the support used to not help with. I have not needed it since the takeover, so I cannot say how well it works now.

My takeIn my opinion, Poll Pay is not a bad survey platform. It offers convenient payment methods, PayPal and gift cards, and it is easy to use. The biggest issues are that it does not always give good support, and that the payout system does not work as well as on many other survey sites. If you can live with this, it can be a decent way to earn a bit extra.

How you earn on Poll Pay

There are 4 ways to earn. Paid surveys make up most of the money. Tap one to read more.

Paid surveys$0.30 to $3 each
Poll Pay paid surveys

Complete the profile survey first. It takes less than 5 minutes, and you only do it once. Then the paid surveys unlock. Each survey shows how long it takes and what it pays.

You answer qualifying questions first. If you do not qualify, you get $0.01 for your time. It is not much, but not all survey apps do this.

Poll Pay offers many of the same surveys as other sites. Choose wisely: some give good value for your time, others do not.

Referral program15% commission
Poll Pay referral program

Share your invite code. You get 15% of what your referrals earn. Poll Pay pays this, so it is not deducted from your referral. Remind them to enter your code when they register. See how to get referrals for survey and GPT sites.

Playing gamesPer mission
Games on Poll Pay

Go to the Games section and install a game by scanning the QR code or emailing the link to your phone. Do not skip this step, because that is how Poll Pay tracks your progress. Complete the missions of each game, then move on to the next game.

Paid offersNone when I tested

There were no offers available when I tested Poll Pay, which I found weird. On other GPT sites, you pick an offer, follow every step, and earn coins. Miss one step, and you do not get the reward.

How much can you make?

Poll Pay claims it has a ton of surveys. I do not believe that claim. In my experience, you usually only have a couple of surveys at any given time. You might get around 5 to 7 at the beginning, but those numbers do not last. It depends on your profile.

You usually earn $0.30 to $3 per survey, based on what I saw during my testing. That is similar to many other survey sites. How much you earn also depends on your country.

Overall, Poll Pay has decent earning potential. It is not one of the highest paying survey sites, but as an extra site, it can give you a bit extra.

Payout methods, minimums and fees

MethodMinimumFee
PayPal in US dollars$25 (2,500 coins)Shown before you confirm
PayPal in euros€15Shown before you confirm
Amazon gift cardsSimilar to PayPalShown before you confirm

The threshold depends on the reward you choose. $25 is quite a high amount, so it takes patience to reach. Many survey sites have more flexible payout methods and a better payment system.

What 39 readers told me

This review has 39 comments since 2021: 22 from readers and 17 replies from me. These are the four things readers wrote about most.

Cashouts that did not arrive or could not be made5 comments

From 2021 and 2022. Readers waited for PayPal payouts, or could not verify a US phone number to cash out. Support was slow to reply.

Game offers that paid cents4 comments

Readers from 2024 thought a game paid $1 per task and saw $0.01. The rewards are shown in points, not dollars.

How long a payout takes3 comments

The first cashout can take longer, because survey sites check that everything is OK.

Banned accounts2 comments

Poll Pay bans accounts that break its terms, for example with a VPN.

“It then appeared as if it was a successful cash out BUT I received nothing in my pay pal account.”

Reader, February 2022
Mikael: Personally, I have been paid by it many times as you can also see proof of above. … But sometimes survey sites need a bit more time to verify everything is ok if it is the first time you cash out.

“Thankyou very much for transfer of money great app”

Reader, November 2022
Mikael: Thanks for sharing your experiences.

“I came to realise that in actually fact, the money I gain was $0.01 or 1 cent.”

Reader, January 2024
Mikael: Maybe you misunderstood how it was written because they wrote the points you would earn and not dollars?

  1. Same. Then what’s the point of having a sign of $ if it’s not in dollars? Why is not ¢? And why is the time increasing if it is equivalent only to 1 cent? Then the players should just play every 1st minute of each game.

  2. Good Day, I’m writing from South Africa

On the app there’s a offers tab where you ‘play games and earn money’. I downloaded several apps from that tab, where you get $1 for every task you complete. There’s a set challenge where for example, for every minute you play, you get a $1, but the minutes increase as you go up the tasks and conclude up to 488 minutes and $37 is the threshold when all tasks have been completed for a specific game or app. I came to realise that in actually fact, the money I gain was $0.01 or 1 cent. Does this somehow change and the real money offered will reflect as $37 or is this one of the app baits that makes users commit to tasks for them to only gain cents? Please help for clarity

    • Not sure exactly what you have seen, but you will, in general, nor find an app that will pay you $1 per minute you play and I have not seen Poll Pay claim anything like this. Maybe you misunderstood how it was written because they wrote the points you would earn and not dollars?

    • Hi ?. I played the game which was under offer for $37 after completion. Yes, I earned 1c per each task/minutes assigned. I completed the offer, I will update once I receive $37, fingers crossed ?.

  3. Do you experience a limit to how many surveys you can take with this app? Every time i complete 3 surveys I get the no surveys available please try later message which is a big lie as creating another account on my partners phone shows there are still plenty. Once I cash out I think I will be abandoning this app as there is definitely something shady with them especially the high paying surveys that almost never load at all or suddenly kick you out even after saying you’re the exact respondent they’re looking for

    • No, that is definitely not normal. It sounds like the emulator you are using is trying to scam you or something like that.

Also, be aware that if you use an emulator to try to fake your country or cheat in any way, survey apps will detect it and ban you.

    • I waited longer than the “5 days since 1st survey completed’ timeline that they failed to mention ANYWHERE, it took 7 or 8 days before they allowed me to attempt a cash out. I then cashed out to pay pal, my address was absolutely correct because I used the automatic filler that my phone has which I have used elsewhere hundreds of times with success. Plus I looked at it & double checked. It then appeared as if it was a successful cash out BUT I received nothing in my pay pal account. It has been hours & still I have received nothing. In my opinion that is apprehensible because their app states it is immediate. I have been to several other apps that do not lie like this one! I was able to find in the app a contact us area and I did send a message however that did not seem to be legit either. They are pure thieves in my opinion, they haven’t responded either. I am going to Twitter now!

As to what has happened in your case, I cannot say. But sometimes survey sites need a bit more time to verify everything is ok if it is the first time you cash out. But if you have done everything honestly, you will get your money.

But I definitely do agree that they could improve their support.

      • I am having this issue as well. It says on their FAQ pay pal should be instant but it could take up to 48hrs I’m on day 3 still haven’t gotten it. I sent in 2 questions to them through the “help” tab they have on the app and have got no response. It’s sucks because I was really happy with this app until this. Hoping it goes through eventually but tbh I’ve read this is quite common and most people don’t get paid ever.

    • SCAM. They stole over 40 hours and tons of personal information for me. I hope that one day they have a nice class action lawsuit. Against them, of course. Bunch of shysters. And I would definitely say it’s shady and it is a scam and to not trust them.

  4. I’ve been trying to contact them multiple ways all day. I’m located in the US and wish to get paid through my PayPal account. Well Poll Pay wants to verify your phone number but you can’t if in US because it’s set up for European numbers. I tried everything and it won’t work! It’s pretty crappy that you take time to take surveys and let’s be honest it can take a long while to get up to even the $15 payout (US). Then you get that amount only to find out you can’t cash out through your chosen payment method and you can’t get anyone to contact you from Poll Pay. I guess I can do Amazon or Target but I really don’t want to.

    • If you have just reached out to them today, then give them a bit of time to get back to you. They likely get a lot of support questions so it will usually not be instant answer. So give it a bit of time for them to reply.

Keep me updated about how it goes.

    • Did you use VPN to make it look like you are from a country you are not? Because then you will definitely get banned as that is fraud.
