I tested Playful Rewards, a game app that says your love for gaming will earn you extra cash. It is legit and pays through PayPal from $10, but there are few games, the rewards are low and the app is slow. Below is what I found, and which apps I would pick first.
Legit, but not really worth your time
Coins for tasks in featured games. PayPal from $10 (100,000 coins), but most games paid 400 to 1,500 coins when I tested.

The short answer
Playful Rewards is legit, but it is not really worth your time. You earn coins for tasks in featured mobile games, and you cash out through PayPal from $10.
But the earning potential is very low: $10 takes 100,000 coins, and most games paid 400 to 1,500 coins when I tested. There are few games, and the app is slow to load. Reviews on its app store pages also include complaints about payouts and support.

- Works on Android and iOS
- Game tasks are optional, so you choose which ones to do
- Limited earning opportunities

- Some tasks ask you to spend money in the game
- The app is slow to load
My experience with Playful Rewards

Is Playful Rewards legit and safe?
Yes, Playful Rewards is legit, because it really does pay you. But legit does not mean it is worth your time. Here is what you should know.
- Very low rewards
You need 100,000 coins for $10. When I tested the app, most featured games paid a maximum of around 400 to 1,500 coins. So it takes quite a long time to cash out.
- Some tasks ask you to spend money
Some game tasks ask you to make a purchase. They pay more, but the reward is usually not close to what you spend. An event I saw asked me to spend $3 in a game for a $5 reward. Tasks are optional, so only do the ones that are worth it to you.
- Complaints about payouts and support
Many reviews on its Google Play and App Store pages complain about the payout system and support. Some members say they did not receive their earnings when they cashed out, and that support did not respond.
- A slow and buggy app
The app is quite slow to load. One of the most common complaints on Google Play is that installed games disappear from the “My Games” list, so you cannot finish their tasks. I did not have that problem myself.
My takeIn my opinion, Playful Rewards is not worth your time. It simply does not give you any reason to use it. Its earning potential is very low, the user experience is not that good, and it does not provide great support.
Playful Rewards pays very little for your time. These sites in your country pay a lot more.
See the best sites in your countryHow you earn on Playful Rewards
There are 3 ways to earn. Playing featured games is the main one. Tap one to read more.
Playing featured games400 to 1,500 coins per game
Go to the “Arcade” to see the featured games. Install a game, then go back to Playful Rewards and open the game from there. That is the only way the app can track your progress and give you the rewards.
Each game has a set number of tasks, usually reaching a certain level or milestone. Some tasks ask you to make a purchase in the game. Tasks are optional, so you choose which ones you do.
When I tested the app, there were not a lot of games, and most of them were puzzle games, which got a bit boring for me. For more choice, see the best ways to earn money by playing games online.
EventsFew events
Go to the “Events” section to see the active events. Each one has a condition you need to meet. When I tested the app, one event asked me to spend $3 on a featured game for a $5 reward. I am not comfortable spending money on games I do not like, so I did not do it.
There were not a lot of events, so you cannot count on them to earn regularly.
Sharing feedbackNot clear
From time to time, you may be asked to share feedback about a game you played. I never got this option while testing the app, and the website gives little information about it. In similar apps, this is usually a survey about the games you played.
How much can you make?
Not a lot. There are very few ways to earn for a GPT app, so there is a chance you run out of things to do at some point.
The coins per game can vary by country. When I tested the app, most featured games paid a maximum of around 400 to 1,500 coins, and you need 100,000 coins for $10. So it takes quite a long time before you can redeem anything.
Payout methods and minimums
| Method | Minimum | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| PayPal | $10 (100,000 coins) | The most common option, and the only one I could choose |
| Gift cards and prepaid Visa | Not shown to me | Only in some countries |
Which payout options you get depends mostly on your country. PayPal is the most common one. It is a straightforward payout system, and I like that it offers PayPal.
