PerkWiz was an app where you offered freelance jobs and completed paid offers. It has now shut down. I tested it myself before that. Below is what I found, and which sites I would pick instead.

The short answer
PerkWiz has closed. The app has shut down, and you can no longer download it from Google Play.
When it was running, it was legit. You set your own price for freelance jobs and could withdraw job earnings without a threshold. But it took a long time to start earning cash, the job I posted was never taken, and the paid offers only paid in gift cards, from $25.
- You set the price for the jobs you offered
- Job earnings could be withdrawn without a threshold
- Available globally, on Android and iOS
- PerkWiz has shut down
- It took some time to start earning cash
- A high $25 threshold for gift cards
- The app lacked information about its features
- Payoneer was the only cash payout option
My experience with PerkWiz
I installed PerkWiz, posted a freelance job, tried the paid offers and went through the rewards, the payouts and the support. This is what I did myself, and what I did not test.

Was PerkWiz legit and safe?
PerkWiz has shut down, so you can no longer join or earn on it. When it was running, it was legit, because it paid you for the jobs and offers you completed. These were the catches.
- It has closed
PerkWiz has shut down, and you can no longer download it from Google Play.
- Slow to start earning cash
You waited for employers to pick your job ad, and it could take time and experimenting to find the right price. My job ad was not taken, even after several days.
- Missed deadlines meant no pay
You set the delivery time for each job yourself. If you did not deliver on time, you did not get paid.
- Paid plans to earn more
PerkWiz Rewards was a pay-to-earn option: Silver cost $4.99 a month, Gold $8.99 and Platinum $12.99 a month or $99.99 a year. The referral bonus also only came when your friend bought a plan.
- Little information in the app
The app did not explain many of its features, so there was a lot of guesswork, especially for beginners.
My takePerkWiz has shut down, so it is no longer an option. When it was running, it was not an ideal app if you wanted to earn quickly: the paid offers only paid in gift cards, and cash depended on getting hired. See the alternatives below.
How you earned on PerkWiz
There were three ways to earn, plus local deals and paid plans that gave you extras. Tap each one to read more.
Freelance jobsYou set the price
This was the main way to earn, and it worked the other way around from most micro-job apps: you did not look for jobs, employers looked for freelancers. You created a job ad, and you could make as many as you wanted.
You picked a category, such as Accounting & Consulting, Sales & Marketing or Data Science & Analytics, and a sub-category. You set your price and the delivery time in days, wrote a detailed description and made a short video about why employers should hire you.
Setting the price took research: too high and no one hired you, too low and you were underpaid. When an employer picked your job, the app notified you, and you were paid through the app when the job was done. My own job ad was not taken, even after several days.
Paid offersCoins for gift cards
While you waited for employers, you could complete paid offers: surveys, downloading apps, playing games, watching videos, signing up for websites and more. During my testing, most offers were mobile games.
Each offer showed the steps to follow. Missing a step meant the offer was not completed. You earned coins, not dollars, and the rewards were somewhere in the middle.
Referral program$25 per plan bought
Your friend got a $25 reward for joining through your link. But the reward only came when they bought one of the PerkWiz Rewards plans, and then you also got $25.
In my opinion, it was not very profitable unless you knew people who wanted to earn on the app and did not mind paying for a plan.
Local dealsDiscounts, not earnings
Local deals were discounts from local stores in or near your area, so a way to save money rather than earn it. There were none worth it in my area, and the app did not explain how they worked.
PerkWiz Rewards plansFrom $4.99 a month
This was a pay-to-earn option. Silver cost $4.99 a month, Gold $8.99, and Platinum $12.99 a month or $99.99 a year. A plan gave you perks such as restaurant discounts, more local deals and a monthly gift card reward.
The more expensive the plan, the more perks you got. If you like gift cards from your favorite stores, the value could be higher than what you paid.

How much could you make?
It depended entirely on you, because you set the price for your jobs. That was a double-edged sword: you were not at the mercy of employers, but finding a competitive price took a lot of patience and experimenting.
In the meantime, you could do paid offers, but they only paid in gift cards. So I would say the earning potential was not good, unless you managed to offer attractive jobs at the right price.
How PerkWiz paid
Jobs and paid offers paid out in different ways.
| Earned from | Payout | Minimum |
|---|---|---|
| Freelance jobs | Payoneer, in US dollars | No threshold |
| Paid offers | Gift cards, for example Walmart, Nike, McDonald’s and GAP | 5,000 coins ($25) |
Gift cards came in three amounts: $25, $100 for 12,000 coins and $250 for 20,000 coins, so the higher amounts gave you more for your coins. Payoneer was the only cash option, so you needed a Payoneer account before you joined.
