I tested the OnePulse app myself. It is a legit survey app with very short surveys and PayPal payouts, but there are not many paid surveys, and the threshold went up to $20. Below is what I found, and which apps I would pick first.
Legit and quick, but few paid surveys and a $20 threshold
Surveys of up to three questions, paid through PayPal. UK and US only.

The short answer
OnePulse is a legit survey app. It does pay you for its short surveys, called Pulses. Each one has up to three questions, so it hardly takes more than 30 seconds.
But there are not many paid Pulses, and you cannot expect to earn regularly. You need $20 to cash out to PayPal, and it is only available in the UK and the US. It can be a decent secondary app, if you manage your expectations.
- Very short surveys: up to three questions
- Pays through PayPal
- Higher pay per Pulse as your level goes up
- User-friendly app on Android and iOS
- Few paid Pulses, and no other way to earn
- Low rewards: 7 cents per Pulse at level 1
- High threshold: $20 (it used to be $5)
- Only in the UK and the US
- A Pulse can close in the middle when its quota is full
My experience with OnePulse
I installed the OnePulse app and answered Pulses to see how it works and what it pays. This is what I tested, and what I did not.

Is OnePulse legit and safe?
Yes, OnePulse is a legit mobile app that pays you for its short surveys. But it has some drawbacks. Here is what you should know before you install it.
- Few paid Pulses
There are limited surveys compared to the more popular survey apps. When there are no Pulses to answer, you cannot earn. Use other survey apps next to it.
- Not every Pulse pays
Only Pulses with a $ sign pay you. Some only give you XP points, which raise your level.
- Quotas close Pulses
Each Pulse has a maximum number of respondents. When it is full, it can kick you out in the middle. Answer Pulses as soon as they are available.
- The threshold went up
You now need $20 to cash out to PayPal. When I first tested the app, it was only $5, so it now takes more patience to get paid.
- One reader reports low pay for the time
One reader wrote that about two hours of questions earned 21 cents. Pay per Pulse has gone down since I first started testing the app.
My takeOnePulse is worth joining if you are eligible to become a member. You just need to manage your expectations a bit. The beauty of this app is that it is very easy to earn rewards: you answer a few short questions, and you get rewarded. The downside is that if there are no Pulses to answer, you have no way of earning. It can still serve as a decent secondary app to earn from. Just do not expect to earn a lot from it.
How you earn on OnePulse
There is only one way to earn: answering Pulses. Your level decides how much each paid Pulse pays. Tap one to read more.
Paid Pulses7 to 40 cents
Pulses are bite-sized surveys with up to three questions. When you log in to the app, you see all the Pulses you can answer. A $ sign shows that a Pulse pays.
Answer all the questions and you get the reward. Each Pulse has a maximum number of respondents, so answer as soon as it is available. The short format is somewhat similar to PaidViewpoint, and one I think is great.
XP Pulses and levelsRaise your pay
Next to money, you get experience points (XP). Some Pulses only give XP. As your level goes up, so does the pay for each paid Pulse.
At level 1, you earn 7 cents per Pulse. At the highest level, you earn 40 cents per Pulse. How fast you level up depends on how often you get paid and XP Pulses, and there is no guarantee you get them regularly.
How much can you make?
At level 1, you earn 7 cents per Pulse. This has significantly decreased since I first started testing the app. At the highest level, it is 40 cents per Pulse. Considering a Pulse only takes a few seconds, the time-to-money ratio is quite good once you reach the highest level.
But it still does not have high earning potential, because there is no guarantee you get Pulses regularly. You need a bit of patience to earn a significant amount, and to reach the $20 threshold.
Payout method and minimum
| Method | Minimum | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| PayPal | $20 | The only payout method. It was $5 when I first tested the app. |
Every paid Pulse you complete is added to your OnePulse balance. Once you have $20, you can request payment via PayPal.
If you want a lower threshold, see the fastest-paying sites with a low minimum payout.
