I tested the MoneyTime app to see if playing its games is worth your time. It is legit, but the rewards are very low and you never know what you earn. Below is what I found, and which apps I recommend instead.
Legit, but a waste of your time
You earn random rewards for playing games, with a cap every three hours. PayPal from $0.01, Android only.

The short answer
MoneyTime is legit: you can really earn rewards by playing its games. It pays through PayPal or gift cards, and the threshold is very low.
But the earning potential is very low, and you never know how much you earn: the rewards look random, and there is a cap every three hours. Add many ads, and I do not recommend you use it.
- Pays through PayPal
- Very low payout threshold: $0.01
- Gift cards too, depending on where you live
- Simple sign-up in the app
- Very low rewards
- Not transparent about its reward system
- A cap on what you can earn every three hours
- Many pop-up ads while you play
- Android only

Is MoneyTime legit and safe?
Yes, MoneyTime is legit, because you can really earn rewards. But that does not mean it is worth your time. Here is what you should know.
- You never know what you earn
The number of monies you get while playing looks totally random. Other apps tell you what you earn per minute, or give fixed rewards for missions. MoneyTime does not explain it.
- Very low rewards, and a cap
In my test, a game session earned me only a fraction of a cent. On top of that, there is a maximum you can earn every three hours.
- Many ads
You see a lot of pop-up ads while you play the featured games. That is how these apps pay their players, but it makes the experience quite bad.
- Open games from the app
Always start a game from the “My Games” section of the app, not from your phone’s menu. Otherwise MoneyTime cannot track your play time, and you earn nothing.
My takeMoneyTime is not something I would recommend you use. In my opinion, you will just be wasting your time because it has a very low earning potential. Aside from that, its user experience isn’t very good.
MoneyTime pays very little for your time. These game apps are more transparent and pay more.

There is only one way to earn: playing the featured games. Tap it to read more.
Playing featured gamesRandom, very low
Log in to the app and you see all the games you can play. When I tested it, most were puzzle games. Pick a game and install it. It then shows up under “My Games”.
Always open the game from “My Games”, so MoneyTime can track how long you play. You earn monies while you play. The progress bar shows what you earned in the past three hours. After three hours, MoneyTime converts the monies to cash you can withdraw.
How much can you make?
You will not know exactly, because the monies you receive look purely random. Based on my test, the earning potential is very low: a game session earned me only a fraction of a cent.
You would have to invest a lot of time just to earn $1, which is honestly a bad use of your time. The limit on what you can earn every three hours lowers it even more.
Payout options
| Option | Minimum | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| PayPal | $0.01 | Cash is added every three hours |
| Gift cards | Depends on the card | Depends on where you live. Amazon is the most common. |
The payout system is straightforward, and the threshold is low. For more sites with a low threshold, see the fastest-paying sites.
