Mistplay Review 2026: Is It Legit? Pros, Cons and My Verdict

Mistplay Rating

If your main goal is to earn extra cash, Mistplay is not the best app. But if you love playing mobile games, then this can be a way to earn rewards and have fun at the same time.

I tested Mistplay to see if playing mobile games for rewards is worth your time. It is legit and can be fun, but the rewards are low and it only works in a few countries. Below is what I found, and which sites I recommend instead.

Personally Tested Re-tested Oct 2026

Legit and fun, but low rewards for your time

You earn units for playing mobile games on Android or iOS. A few countries only, and daily caps on how much you can earn.

Good for you ifYou love playing mobile games, live in the US, Canada, Singapore or a supported European country, and see rewards as a bonus.
Skip it ifYou mainly want to earn extra cash, or you want PayPal outside the US.

The short answer

Mistplay is not a scam. It is a legit Get-Paid-To (GPT) app that rewards you for playing mobile games. You earn units and exchange them for gift cards, a prepaid Visa card, Steam Wallet codes, or PayPal in some countries.

But the rewards for your time are not very high, and there are daily caps on how much you can play each game. The app is on Android and iOS, but only available in a few countries. If your main goal is to earn extra cash, Mistplay is not the best app. If you love mobile games, it is a way to earn rewards while you have fun.

What I like
  • Low payout threshold: from a $0.50 Amazon gift card
  • Offers a fun way to earn rewards
  • Comprehensive support page with categorized FAQs
  • Apps for Android and iOS
What I don’t like
  • Doesn’t offer payment via PayPal in all countries
  • Low rewards
  • Availability of games depends on the country you live in

Is Mistplay legit and safe?

Yes, Mistplay is legit and safe, but this does not mean it is worth your time. Here is what you should know before you start.

  • Readers report accounts on hold at cashout

Several readers wrote that their account was put on hold or flagged when they had enough units to cash out, and one that a gift card never arrived. Mistplay did not tell them why.

  • The app needs a lot of permissions

You must allow screen overlay or usage access, turn off power saver mode, and keep “Recording your game time” on. Otherwise Mistplay cannot track your playtime.

  • Follow the install rules, or you earn less

Only install games you have never installed on the device before, always download them through Mistplay, and do not switch between mobile data and WiFi while downloading.

  • You must actively play

Leaving a game running does not count, even if the game has idle-play features. After 2 hours on one game in a day, you stop earning units for it until the next day.

  • Never use a VPN

You cannot use a VPN to get around the country limits. When Mistplay finds out, it bans your account, and you lose all the rewards you earned.

My takeIf you only want to earn extra cash, in my opinion, Mistplay is not the best app for it. But if you love playing mobile games, then this can be a good site to join so you will be able to earn rewards and have fun at the same time. Not a lot of apps offer that kind of opportunity.

Mistplay pays little for your time and only works in a few countries. The top sites in your country give you more ways to earn.

How you earn on Mistplay

Playing games is the only real way to earn. The weekly contest is a chance at extra units. Tap one to read more.

When you log in to the app, you see all the games you can play. Every game has requirements you need to meet for the reward, like reaching a certain level or achievement. Play with the requirements in mind.

After you meet the requirements, Mistplay asks for your opinion on the game, and you get an extra reward for it.

Each game has a Mistplay level cap of 20 and a daily cap of 2 hours. When you run out of games to play, you cannot earn more that day.

Weekly contest7,500 units, luck only
The weekly contest on Mistplay

This is not an earning opportunity, but you have a chance to win 7,500 Mistplay units if you get lucky.

To enter, you meet the requirements, which are usually game-related, like playing a certain game for a set time or reaching a level. Then click the Join button in the weekly contest section.

How much can you make?

There is a limit to how many units you can earn every day. Each game has a daily time cap, and if you run out of games to play, you cannot earn more that day.

Which games you get depends mostly on your country, so some members have access to more games than others. Overall, the rewards you get for your time are not very high.

That is why I would say the earning potential of the app isn’t that good. The real value of Mistplay, in my opinion, is that you earn rewards while having fun.

Rewards and minimums

RewardExample costNotes
Amazon gift cardFrom $0.50The smallest reward you can claim
Prepaid Visa card$5 card: 1800 units · $10 card: 3000 unitsNot in every country
Other gift cards and Steam Wallet codesVaries per rewardDepends on your location
PayPalVariesOnly in certain countries like the US

You earn Mistplay units for every game you play and exchange them for rewards. You cannot really tell how much a unit is worth, which makes the reward system a bit confusing. The value of units, the threshold and the rewards can vary from country to country.

Mistplay does not offer cash rewards in all countries. If you prefer cash, see the top sites that pay via PayPal, or my guide to free Steam Wallet codes.

  1. To whomever wrote this article – perhaps worth updating it with the detail of aome of the comments – seems like its not all roses. I’d also be very sus on any software that asks for all the permissions mistplay does.

    • I do not understand that you indicate that my review says Mistplay is all roses. I give it 2 stars out of 5 and say it is not an option I would really use.

  2. Mistplay Scam app. Do NOT download! They may tell you they are legit but they are not. I only played for about a week. It took forever just to get $10.00 worth of points. When I went to cash out they pull some BS and place my account on hold. When I ask why? They never told me, even after 3 request. But they stated that accounts on hold can NOT pay out. SCAM!!!! Save yourself the hassle. Do NOT download this scam, who knows what else they steal. If I could I would give 0 stars.

  3. I have played on Mistplay for a little over a year. I have cashed out for two $25 gift cards from Amazon with no problem. However, the third card, I decided to wait and go for a $50 card. Finally had enough credits for it, got the approval notice and was told I would receive the information to claim the card in 48 hours. Never received it. Gave them the benefit of the doubt and waited a couple of extra days and filed a support ticket. No reply. A week later, filed a second support ticket. Still nothing, and it’s been about 4 days. I enjoyed playing the games, even though most of the ones I like are few and far between. A lot of merge, strategy and casino games if you like those.

  4. I downloaded and started playing a ton. When I had enough to cash in they flagged my account and said I violated the t&c (which I did not). When I asked for details they said for legal reasons they couldn’t provide it. This is a total scam.

  5. They put accounts on hold as soon as you near a prize threshold.
    No explanation given, no solution.
The “appeal process” is a self-generated email that leads nowhere.
This seems to be very common.
    Avoid, avoid, avoid!

  6. Hey, Good afternoon, I am at Dominican republic and my name is David, I’m trying to get to setup a job investment for people that need a job to work as well and be a business owner…I looked at a lot of your videos and I think that the best way to start a business is by surveys and clikling jobs, most of those pages don’t provide job for a DR agent, the only one that currently works is timebucks but you just post the pages, I would like to see how you accumulate money and process to get pay as a better assistance for the pages you recommend, like a walkthrough training.

    • Sorry but I do not understand what you are asking.

But one thing I can say is that surveys and similar tasks are NOT a way to make a living and cannot be consindered a job. They are for extra income on the side.

  7. Hi mikeal
This is Chris from Zambia in Africa.
I just wanted to know if there are special sites for my area or country, iam saying so because almost all the sites that I have tried don’t have surveys, iam really disappointed because I’ve been following you and you’re tutorials. You are a very straight and good person who teaches the truth. I thought this will be my chance. Please advise if there is any that I can try.
    Regards

  8. Note: they is some info that mistplay is recently implemented face recognition verification less than a few days ago. In the reveiws section some members arent happy/ dont fell comfortable taking thier selfies

Unluckly i dont have the app available for me so i cant fully comfirm

(Personal opinion: i wonder why these Get-Paid-To-Play apps require u to taking your selfie in the first place? Are they selling it to AI face recognition companies? Hmmmm sus)

    Reply
    • I cannot say why they are doing this facial recognition. Would be interesting to know. Maybe I will try contacting their support and see if they will reply about this.
