I tested the Milieu Surveys app to see if its surveys are worth your time. It is legit, and you never get screened out, but you only get a few surveys a week and it does not pay through PayPal. Below is what I found, and which survey apps I recommend instead.

Legit survey app, but few surveys and no PayPal
No screen-outs, but only two to three surveys a week. Only in six countries in Southeast Asia.

The short answer
Milieu Surveys is a legit survey app. It rewards you for answering surveys, and you do not go through a qualification process: when a survey is available, you have already qualified for it.
But you only get around two to three surveys per week, and each one pays around 200 to 500 points. It does not pay through PayPal, and it is only available in Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam and the Philippines. It works as a secondary source of extra cash, not a main one.
- You don’t have to go through a qualification process when answering surveys
- The app is user-friendly, with no pop-up ads
- Payout threshold of 10,500 points ($10) is manageable
- Works on Android and iOS
- Limited earning opportunities: two to three surveys per week
- Doesn’t offer PayPal as a payment method
- Very poor referral program
- Only available in six countries in Southeast Asia
- The contact form is hidden in the FAQ
My experience with Milieu Surveys
I installed Milieu Surveys, went through its surveys and polls, and looked at the rewards, the referral program and the support options. This is what I did myself, and what I did not test.

Is Milieu Surveys legit and safe?
Yes, Milieu Surveys is legit: it rewards you for the surveys you answer. But that does not automatically mean it is worth your time. Here is what you should know.
- Very few surveys
Because you never get screened out, there are fewer surveys. Milieu says you can expect around two to three surveys per week, which is what I experienced. At 200 to 500 points per survey, it takes quite a long time to reach the payout threshold.
- No PayPal
You cash out to gift cards or to cash through PayNow, a peer-to-peer transfer service. If you do not have a PayNow account and want cash, that is a problem.
- One account per device
If you create a second account on the same device, both accounts get banned. Answer the surveys truthfully as well; that is one of the rules you agree to.
- Only in six countries
Milieu Surveys is only available in Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam and the Philippines, and only on a mobile device.
- Support is hard to reach
The contact form only shows when you click one of the Technical Issues questions in the FAQ.
My takeI would say Milieu Surveys is a decent app to use as long as you are eligible to join and as long as you don’t expect to earn a lot from it. As long as that’s okay with you and you have a PayNow account, then I would suggest you use this app as a secondary source of extra cash.
How you earn on Milieu Surveys
There are 2 ways to earn. Paid surveys are the main one. Tap one to read more.
Paid surveys and polls200–500 points each
Their paid surveys work like any other survey from survey sites and apps. But there’s one key difference: you don’t have to go through a qualification process. When there’s a survey available, that means you’ve already qualified for it. The downside of this system is that there are fewer surveys you can take.
Start with the tutorial survey. It pays 475 points, so think of it as a bonus for joining. Then take the profile survey. Milieu uses it to decide which surveys to send you, and it pays points too.
There are also many short surveys, which are actually polls. You earn 5 points for each poll you answer. It is not much, but it adds up a little.
Referral program500 points each
Share your invite code. Your referral enters it during registration. Once they complete at least 7 surveys, you and your referral both get 500 points.
You can have a maximum of 100 referrals, so you can earn up to 50,000 points this way. Few survey apps have this kind of limit, but 100 referrals are hard to reach anyway.
How much can you make?
It mostly depends on how often you receive surveys. Milieu says you can expect around two to three surveys per week, which is consistent with what I experienced while testing it.
You typically earn 200 to 500 points per survey, which is more or less 20 to 50 cents. Some surveys are worth more. That is not impressive, and it means it takes quite a long time to reach the payout threshold.
What I like is that it takes little time and effort. You log in, check if there is a survey, and spend a few minutes on it.
Payout methods and minimum
| Method | Minimum |
|---|---|
| Cash through PayNow | 10,500 points ($10) |
| Gift cards | 10,500 points ($10) |
| Donation to a charity | 10,500 points ($10) |
PayNow is a peer-to-peer fund transfer service. Milieu does not pay through PayPal. If you prefer a more convenient way to withdraw cash, see the top sites that pay via PayPal.
