MetroOpinion Review 2026: Is It Legit? Pros, Cons and My Verdict

MetroOpinion Rating

MetroOpinion is not a bad survey site, but it’s not that good either. It can serve as a decent secondary site to join provided you set your expectations properly.

I tested MetroOpinion to see if it is worth your time. It is legit and pays a fair amount per survey, but there are not many surveys. Below is what I found, and which sites I recommend instead.

Personally Tested Last tested

Legit, but too few surveys to earn regularly

Backed by Cint AB, open in many countries, with a low threshold. You will not get many surveys.

Good for you ifYou want a secondary survey site to earn extra cash from time to time, and it is open in your country.
Skip it ifYou want a main site to earn from regularly, or you want more ways to earn than surveys.

The short answer

MetroOpinion is legit. It is powered by Cint AB, a market research company, and it really pays you for answering surveys. It is not a bad survey site, but it is not that good either.

A survey pays $0.50 to $5, which is not a bad rate. But the site really does not offer a lot of surveys, and surveys are its only way to earn. It can serve as a decent secondary site. It is not the site to earn from regularly.

What I like
  • Offers payment via PayPal
  • Has a relatively low payout threshold
  • Backed by a legit market research company
  • Has panels in more countries than most survey sites
  • Mobile-friendly website
What I don’t like
  • Limited earning opportunities
  • Completing your profile can take some time, and you won’t get paid for it
  • Surveys that pay $5 are very rare
  • 2% fee on PayPal withdrawals
  • Email support only, and the FAQ is only visible after you join

My experience with MetroOpinion

I signed up, filled out my profile, and went through the surveys and payout options. This is what I did myself, and what I did not test.

Is MetroOpinion legit and safe?

Yes, MetroOpinion is legit, because it really pays you for answering surveys. But being legit does not make it worth your time. Here is what you should know.

  • There are few surveys

In my experience, you should not expect too many surveys. You have no control over how many invites you get, and you will not qualify for all of them. If there are no surveys, you earn nothing.

  • Some readers report payout problems

Readers write about withdrawals that took longer than they expected and, in a few cases, redemptions that were rejected. If a withdrawal has not arrived after a week or so, contact MetroOpinion’s support.

  • It never asks for your bank PIN or credit card

MetroOpinion asks you to create a password. A legit survey site never asks for your credit card details or the PIN of another account to join. If a site does, make sure you are on the official website.

  • A long unpaid profile

There are a lot of profile questions, and you are not paid for them. You need to complete your profile to get survey invites, so set aside some time.

  • Payout methods depend on your country

PayPal is not available everywhere. Check the payout methods in your country after you join, before you spend time on surveys.

My takeMetroOpinion is not a bad survey site, in my opinion. But it’s not that good, either. It can serve as a decent secondary site to join, provided you set your expectations properly. If you are looking for primary sites to earn from, I recommend the top survey and GPT sites in your country instead.

MetroOpinion has few surveys. The top sites in your country give you more ways to earn.

How you earn on MetroOpinion

There is only one way to earn: paid surveys.

Paid surveys$0.50 to $5 each
Profiling questions before a MetroOpinion survey

You get survey invites by email, with a link, how long the survey takes and what it pays. You can also log in and see all available surveys in the “Surveys” section.

You first give some basic information and answer qualifying questions. If you qualify, you answer the survey and get the promised reward. If you do not, you move on to the next survey, if there is one.

Complete your profile right away. It increases your chances of getting survey invites.

How much can you make?

A MetroOpinion survey pays $0.50 to $5, which is not a bad rate, in my opinion. But you will very rarely get surveys that pay $5, and you will not qualify for every survey you are invited to.

The bigger issue is that the site really does not offer a lot of surveys, and it has no other way to earn. So, in my experience, it is a bit hard to earn regular money from it.

Payout methods, minimum and fees

MethodMinimumNotes
PayPalTypically $5 to $10, by country2% fee. Not available in every country.
Gift cardsTypically $5 to $10, by countryOptions depend on your country
DonationsTypically $5 to $10, by countryOptions depend on your country

You earn in your own country’s currency, and the reward goes to your MetroOpinion balance. The payout methods depend on your country. MetroOpinion has no full overview per country. PayPal seems to be the most common, but it is not available everywhere.

If you want more sites with PayPal, see the top sites that pay via PayPal. If PayPal is not an option where you live, see platforms that pay via Payoneer.

This review has 245 comments since 2021: 127 from readers and 118 replies from me. These are the four things readers ask about most.

“Can I join from my country?”25 comments

Most come from Nigeria, Pakistan and Kenya. If MetroOpinion is not open in your country, you cannot register. My list of the best sites in your country has options for you.

How to get paid, and what if there is no PayPal15 comments

Payout methods depend on your country. Check them after you join, before you spend time on surveys.

Missing, slow or rejected payouts14 comments

Readers waited for withdrawals or rewards, and a few had a redemption rejected. A withdrawal can take a few days. After a week or so, contact support.

No surveys after completing the profile14 comments

There will not always be surveys available. That is the main reason MetroOpinion only works as a secondary site.

“From Nigeria can withdraw my earnings”

Reader in Nigeria, September 2025
Mikael: If you can join from your country, you can also withdraw. But just make sure to check the exact payout methods available in your country after joining to make sure you like the options before spending time taking surveys.

“I placed a withdrawal on their website some days ago, still haven’t received it yet.”

Reader, August 2025
Mikael: It can sometimes take some time. Especially if it is the first time you withdraw. But if you have not heard back after another week or so, try contacting their support.

“After completing sufficient surveys to redeem the value of $16, my attempt to redeem was rejected and I was kicked out and could not log in anymore.”

Reader, March 2024
Mikael: Sorry to hear that. But thanks for sharing your experiences. Have you used VPN, rushed through surveys, or anything like that?

      • When you contact they said is not their responsibility for payment. Need to contact Cint AB and this will go in a never ending ping-pong situation. Cint AB just close the request and mark as ‘solved’ despite the fact they didn’t done the payment.

  2. MetroOpinion is a hoax ! and a cheat. After completing sufficient surveys to redeem the value of $16, my attempt to redeem was rejected and I was kicked out and could not log in anymore. Be warned ! Avoid this cheat. I never got my money from completing all those surveys. When I emailed their support, they just said I could no longer log in and refused to respond to my questions as to why? Effectively they scammed me of my earnings doing the surveys

Have you used VPN, rushed through surveys, or anything like that?

      Reply
    • I am totally agree with you and I’m saying this based on my experience with them. They do not respect their engagement in terms of payment. Instead 1-4 working days to make the payment will take around 4 weeks. This fact says a lot .

  5. Am now registering and it is requesting for my card details. Is it safe to provide those details in the registration process?

    Reply
    • MetroOpinion will not ask for your credit card details to join. Are you sure it is the official website you are on? No legit survey site will ask for credit card details to join.

      Reply
          • Using VPN on survey and Get-Paid-To sites is fraud, and you hurt a lot of people and businesses by doing this, and you are basically stealing from the site owners and this can not be justified for any reason, in my opinion. Also, most sites have strict security so they will find out when you use VPN, and they will block you, and you will lose your earnings. So if you want to use these sites, you have to do it honestly and stick to sites that are available in your country.

    • There is a payout threshold you need to reach before you can withdraw. And this particular site also does not pay out via bank transfer. I explain everything in the review above.

        • As explained above, your expectations are NOT realistic. You cannot just find an app that will make you $100 per day. That is not how it works to make money online and you need to do it with the right expectations.
