The short answer

Math Cash has shut down. The app is no longer a way to earn extra money, so you can no longer join or earn there.

When it was running, it was legit, and it paid through PayPal from $5. But a won duel only gave you 4 points, so you needed around 1,250 wins to reach the cashout, and the app showed a video ad after every duel.

What I like

Was Math Cash legit and safe?

Math Cash has shut down, so you can no longer join or earn on it. When it was running, it was legit, because it rewarded you for the duels you won. These were the catches.

  • It has shut down

The Math Cash app has shut down and is no longer a way to earn.

  • A very long way to the cashout

A won duel paid 4 points, so you needed 1,250 wins for the 5,000-point cashout. At 60 seconds a duel, that was roughly 21 hours, and only if you won every duel.

  • No guaranteed points

You only earned points when you beat the other player. A lost duel gave you nothing, and I got my first win after 3 tries.

  • Video ads after every duel

You had to watch a video ad every time you finished a duel, which got quite annoying.

  • Little support

There was no support page and no FAQ, only a guide on how to use the app and an email address.

My takeMath Cash has shut down, so it is no longer an option. When it was running, I only recommended it if you really loved solving math problems or wanted to pass time. To earn extra cash, see the alternatives below.

How you earned on Math Cash

Duels and referrals gave points you could cash out. Surveys and featured games gave tickets to play duels. Tap each one to read more.

Math duels4 points per win
A Math Cash duel

This was the main way to earn. You went head to head with another member, and each duel cost one ticket.

You got 20 questions with addition, subtraction, multiplication and division, and 60 seconds to finish them all. The winner got 4 points, and the loser got nothing.

It was fun and even challenging, but there was no guarantee of points. I got my first win after 3 tries, so it took patience.

SurveysTickets
Paid surveys on Math Cash

Surveys did not pay points you could cash out. They gave you tickets for duels: every 4 points from a survey became 1 ticket, so a 100-point survey gave you 25 tickets.

They worked like surveys on other sites: you answered a few qualification questions first, and if you qualified, you took the survey and got the reward.

PlaytimeTickets
Math Cash Playtime games

You could also earn tickets by playing featured games. You installed a game and opened it through Math Cash, so your playing time was tracked.

Every minute earned points, which became tickets at 4 points per ticket. The longer you played one game, the fewer points you got per minute.

Referral program10 tickets and 10%
Math Cash referral program

For every friend who joined through you, you got 10 tickets. You also got a 10% commission every time your referral earned 50 points from duels, and 5% from the people they invited.

Next to duels, this was the only way to earn points you could cash out.

See the Top Survey and GPT Sites in Your Country

How much could you make?

Very little. With 4 points per won duel, you needed 1,250 wins to reach the cashout. That was roughly 21 hours of duels, and only if you won all of them, which is close to impossible.

So the low $5 cashout did not help much: it took a lot of time to reach it, and the earning potential was quite low.

How Math Cash paid

Only points from duels and referrals counted toward a payout. You got 150 points and 15 tickets when you signed up.

  1. I earned 15000 points just for 10 mins. The key is to do the guessing number instead. One 6-digit combination would only take 5 mins or less to solve. A guaranteed 3000 points in 5 mins. I’ve requested payment already for 15$ and just waiting for the money to reflect on my Paypal. Will need to wait for 4-6 days though, we’ll see if it’s truly legit in paying.
