I signed up for kGrid to see if its AI-guided micro-interviews are a real way to earn. It is legit, but you only earn when your insight gets cited, and there is no guarantee that ever happens. Below is what I found, and which sites I recommend instead.
Legit, but no guarantee you will ever earn
Short AI-guided interviews about your knowledge. You earn per citation, but kGrid does not say how much. Gift cards from $5, no cash.

The short answer
kGrid is a legit platform where you can potentially earn passively by sharing your knowledge through micro-interviews. The interviews are short and AI-guided, and the site works on mobile.
But there is no guarantee you will ever earn anything. You only earn when your insight gets cited, and kGrid is not clear on how much it pays per citation. It doesn’t offer cash rewards, and in some countries there are no payout options at all.
- You can potentially earn passively
- Available worldwide
- Interviews usually last only 10 to 15 minutes
- Mobile-friendly dashboard with an intuitive interface
- Personal details are removed from the transcripts
- Not transparent with how much you can earn (and how you earn)
- Doesn’t offer cash rewards
- Doesn’t offer a guaranteed way to earn
- In some countries, there are no payout options available
- You must verify with LinkedIn to get paid
My experience with kGrid

Is kGrid legit and safe?
Yes, kGrid is legit, since you can really earn rewards by sharing your knowledge. But that doesn’t automatically make it a good fit for you. Here is what you should know before you do an interview.
- No guarantee you will ever earn
You only earn when your insight gets cited. kGrid does not say how much it pays per citation, and I never got one while testing it. You might do several interviews and never earn anything.
- Not transparent about how it pays
AI systems don’t pay anyone to cite anything, so you will not earn by getting cited by ChatGPT, Grok or other AI models, even though you might get that impression when you first join. Most likely, you only earn when kGrid’s clients access its knowledge database and cite your specific insight. That significantly decreases your chances of earning.
- Check your payout options first
The payout options depend on your country, and in some countries there are none. Check this before you start doing interviews. There is no cash option.
- LinkedIn verification to get paid
You can skip the LinkedIn verification at first, but then you have limited options and cannot get paid.
- Few interviews fit most people
Most micro-interviews are about specific online platforms. You also have to qualify through a short survey first, so it can be challenging to find interviews you can do.
My takeIn my opinion, kGrid is an interesting site to earn from – BUT even though the idea sounds great, there are some things you seriously need to consider before joining. There is no guarantee you will ever earn anything, and they do a bad job of being transparent with what they have to offer.
kGrid gives no guarantee you will ever earn. On these sites, you see what each task pays before you start.

There is one way to earn: micro-interviews that may get cited later.
Micro-interviewsPer citation, amount unclear
Log in to the dashboard and choose a micro-interview. When I tested it, there were around 20, mostly about specific online platforms like Semrush, WordPress and Google Analytics. Answer a short survey first; if you qualify, you do the interview. If not, move on to the next one.
The interview is quick, personalized and AI-guided, so you talk to an AI, not a person. Use a headset with a microphone and sit in a quiet room. It usually lasts 10 to 15 minutes. kGrid then transcribes your answers, removes personal details, and adds them to its knowledge database.
You earn when your insight gets cited. Track citations under Analytics in the dashboard. kGrid is not clear on how much it pays per citation, so it is hard to say what you will earn. The micro-interviews change from time to time.

How much can you make?
kGrid doesn’t really say how much you earn per citation, and I can’t tell you the amount, because I never got one while testing it.
Earning will not be easy. The chances of your insight getting cited are quite limited, and most micro-interviews are about specific online platforms. You have no idea if your interview will ever get cited, so I would consider its earning potential to be very low.
If you want to earn passively, you need to be very patient.
Reward options and minimum
| Reward | Minimum |
|---|---|
| Gift cards: Amazon, Best Buy, DoorDash, Google Play and more | $5 |
| Charity donation | $0.01 |
kGrid processes your earnings into your account on the 1st and 15th of the month. When I tested it, there were 18 gift cards to choose from. The exact options depend on your country, and some countries have none. There is no cash option, which is its biggest disadvantage, in my opinion. If you prefer cash, see the top sites that pay via PayPal.
Who can join, and how
The website doesn’t say exactly which countries it is available in, but from what I can see, it is available globally. All micro-interviews are in English, so you need to speak it fluently.
Sign up with your Google account or email address. It only takes a few seconds. Then kGrid asks you to verify your account with your LinkedIn profile. You can skip this, but then you have limited options and cannot get paid.
The dashboard is optimized for mobile, and you can do interviews on your phone with a headset and microphone. For help, check the FAQ, click the Message icon in the lower-right corner of the dashboard, or use the contact form on the website.
