Is InboxPays Legit or a Scam? (Full Truth Revealed)

InboxPays

InboxPays is a legit GPT site that rewards you with real money. But it has a very high payout threshold, and you might join with the wrong expectations because of the marketing techniques they use.

InboxPays is a US Get-Paid-To (GPT) site that pays real money for offers, surveys and emails. I joined and tested it. Below is what I found, the high payout rules you should know about, and which sites I would pick first.

Legit, but a $50 payout threshold makes it hard to cash out

US only. PayPal from $50, in $50 steps, with rules on where your earnings come from. Some readers report they could not cash out.

Good for you ifYou live in the US, you are already a member, and you are patient enough to reach $50.
Skip it ifYou want a low threshold and quick payouts, or you live outside the US.

The short answer

InboxPays is a legit GPT site that pays real money for paid offers, surveys, emails and contests. It has plenty of earning options, which is pretty common for GPT sites.

But the minimum payout is $50, and you can only cash out in steps of $50. You also need at least $25 from paid offers and Spin the Wheel, and at most $25 from paid emails count. The sign-up page makes it look like there are limited spots and that you can earn up to $100 per survey. There are better GPT sites with a low payout threshold.

What I like
  • Multiple earning opportunities
  • You can request a payout via PayPal
  • Free coupons you can print and use
  • The website works well on a phone
What I don’t like
  • A very high $50 payout threshold, paid in steps of $50
  • Rules on which earning methods count toward a payout
  • The sign-up page suggests limited spots and $100 surveys
  • Sends a lot of emails
  • Only one account per household and only in the US
  • Some readers report they could not cash out or reach support

My experience with InboxPays

Is InboxPays legit and safe?

InboxPays is a legit GPT site that promises real money payouts. But that does not mean it is a good option for you. Here is what you should know before you join.

  • A very high payout threshold

You need $50 before you can request a payout, and you can only request payment in steps of $50. That is very high for a GPT site. Payments are processed twice per month, so there is also a wait.

  • Rules on where your earnings come from

You must earn at least $25 from paid offers and Spin the Wheel, and only up to $25 from paid emails counts. Out of the hundreds of sites I have tested, this is the only one where I have seen such requirements. Know this, so you do not reach $50 without being able to cash out.

  • Some readers report they could not cash out

Since 2023, several readers told me they could not get their payout, could not get a PIN to cash out, or got no reply to their support tickets. I have not been able to check this myself.

  • The sign-up page oversells

The sign-up form makes it look like there are only a few spots, but there will more or less always be spots available. It also says you can make up to $100 per survey. A survey that pays this much is extremely rare, and most people will likely never get one.

  • Read the conditions of each offer

Some offers ask you to use a credit card, do a free trial, buy something or reach a level in a game. Read the exact conditions before you start, so you know what you are agreeing to.

My takeIn my opinion, the main problem with InboxPays is the very high payout threshold. That alone makes it hard to make money. I also do not like that the sign-up page makes it look like there are limited spots and that you can earn $100 per survey. There are better GPT sites that offer better rewards at a low payout threshold.

How you earn on InboxPays

There are 6 ways to earn. Paid offers and surveys are the main ones. Tap one to read more.

Paid offersMain earner
Paid offers on the InboxPays dashboard

When you log in, you see all the paid offers and their rewards. Usually, an offer asks you to register on a website, do a free trial or buy something.

Some good offers can boost your earnings, but you can find many of the same offers on other GPT sites for a higher reward. Read the conditions of each offer before you start.

Paid surveysSmall amounts
InboxPays bonus offers with surveys

You find the surveys under the Bonus Offers tab. The surveys show the reward right away, and some add bonus rewards like gift cards.

Do not expect a lot of surveys, because InboxPays is not mainly a survey site. Some survey options pay you to sign up for other survey sites, and not all of them are good. One example is Opinion City, a site I advise you to stay away from.

Reading emailsVery small

InboxPays sends you emails with a link. Click the link to visit an advertiser’s website and get the reward. It works like a Paid-To-Click (PTC) site.

The rewards are very small, and only up to $25 from paid emails counts toward a payout.

CouponsSavings, not cash
InboxPays coupons

Every once in a while, InboxPays gives you free coupons under the coupons tab. Print them, cut them out, and use them in the store where they are valid. In my opinion, this is one of its better deals, because you do not have to do anything for it.

Referral program10%
InboxPays referral program

You earn 10% of what your referrals earn, but only from paid offers. You only receive it once your referral requests a payment. Those are big limits compared to the referral programs on many other GPT sites.

Spin the WheelLuck only
InboxPays Spin the Wheel contest

You get 2 free spins. Prizes range from $0.75 to $100, and there is a jackpot shown at the top. For more spins, you have to complete offers.

When I tried it, the wheel kept on turning and would not stop. The game is glitchy and not user-friendly.

How much can you make?

You need at least $50 before you can get paid, and you can only request payment in steps of $50. During my testing, the balance went up fast because there are many ways to earn.

But to make a real amount, you have to fully commit to InboxPays. The rule that at least $25 must come from paid offers and Spin the Wheel, and only up to $25 from paid emails counts, limits you further.

There are better GPT sites that offer a much simpler way to earn money. See the top GPT sites.

Payout method and rules

PayPal$50Only in steps of $50. Payments are processed twice per month.

Before you can request a payout, at least $25 must come from paid offers and Spin the Wheel, and only up to $25 from paid emails counts.

There are plenty of PayPal sites with a lower threshold. See the best sites that pay through PayPal.

I’m having a problem with request a ticket about my balance which is $135 and cashing it out I can’t cash out I have a legitimate PayPal account and on top of that when I request for ticket to support it say my email and password is not valid it’s a bit too much for me irritating and frustrating

  3. I’ve been trying to reach them for my payout for months. I’ve done so many emails and offers and the amount on my account has stayed the same for probably about a year now. No one answers me. I’ve left 3-4 support tickets over the same amount of months, and still nothing. I think they are either a scam or went out of business! Either way, I spent all this time and can’t get my $50!!!!!

    • same here I’ve been trying to cash out my $50 and no success in 2022 I was able to do it but now nothing and when you send messages to support no replies don’t know what’s going on but this is a joke this is messed up because it takes a lot of work to get to that $50

    • if you are having problems with cashing out from InboxPays, you need to contact their support.

But just be aware you need to reach the payout threshold first which is very high on InboxPays. But until you reach the threshold, you cannot get your earnings.
