I tested HideoutTV and got paid, and I show the payment proof in my video. It is legit and the videos can be fun, but the rewards are very low. Below is my payment proof, how it works, and which sites I recommend if you want to earn more.
Legit and fun, but the rewards are very low
Points for watching the ads in fun videos. Prepaid Visa from $5, or move your points to a partner GPT site.

The short answer
HideoutTV is legit. It paid me, and I show the payment proof in my video. You earn points for watching the ads that play in its videos, plus a small daily reward, and the support center is one of the best I have seen.
But the rewards are very low: less than $0.1 per video. When there are no ads for your location, you earn nothing. It is a fun way to earn a little, not a good way to earn extra cash.
- Many fun and interesting videos to watch
- User-friendly, mobile-friendly website
- Well-organized, detailed support center
- Move your points to many partner GPT sites
- Very low rewards: less than $0.1 per video
- No ads for your location means no earnings
- Prepaid Visa is not available in every country
- Partner-site conversion rates differ and take work to compare
- No Android or iOS app anymore
My experience with HideoutTV
I joined HideoutTV, watched its videos, claimed the daily reward and took money out. This is what I did myself.

HideoutTV has paid me. In the video below, I show exactly how HideoutTV works, how I earn, and how I take money out of it.

HideoutTV paid me, but it pays very little for your time. These sites in your country pay more.

Is HideoutTV legit and safe?
Yes, HideoutTV is legit. It has paid me. But that does not make it worth your time. Here is what you should know.
- Very low rewards
A video pays less than $0.1. When I tested it, I had to watch around 15–20 videos, including a lot of ads, to earn points worth $0.15.
- No ads means no earnings
You earn from the ads, not the videos. When no advertisers run ads for your location, you earn nothing, however many videos you watch. In some countries there are very few ads.
- Strict rules against cheating
If you use a VPN to look like you live in another country, use HideoutTV on several devices at the same time, or cheat in any other way, HideoutTV detects it and bans you.
- Cashing out takes some work
The prepaid Visa is not available in every country. The other route is to move your points to a partner GPT site, and each site gives a different rate.
My takeHideoutTV can certainly be fun and interesting. But it will practically take you thousands of hours just to earn a decent amount, so it’s not the most efficient way to earn online. If you are really interested in it, sign up for one of its partner sites: you can still watch videos, and you can earn more from their other earning opportunities.
How you earn on HideoutTV
There are 3 ways to earn. Watching videos is the main one. Tap one to read more.
Watching videosLess than $0.1 a video
Log in, pick a video and watch it to the end. You need to be logged in to earn. You are rewarded for the ads that play before, during and after the videos, not for the videos themselves.
Which ads play depends on your location. If no ads load, there are no campaigns for your location at the moment, and you will not earn. Skip watching and try again later or another day.
Daily promo codeA few points a day
Click the Reward button below any video to see the daily promo code, then click Add. It adds a small number of points to your balance. It is not much, but you get it every day just for logging in.
Giveaways and sweepstakesLuck only
Register for free in the giveaways section. There are new ones each month, and you can win extra points with little effort. Read the conditions first: for some, you agree to receive more promotions or ads.
How much can you make?
Not much. HideoutTV even says on its support page that it does not pay that well. A video pays less than $0.1, and when I tested it, 15–20 videos with a lot of ads earned me points worth $0.15.
The real value is that you earn a small amount while watching videos you enjoy, if you pick a category that fits you.
Payout methods and minimum
| Method | Minimum | Details |
|---|---|---|
| Prepaid Visa (some countries) | $5, up to $1,000 | Virtual card by email right away, or a physical card by mail ($3.00 shipping taken from the card balance) |
| Points transfer to a partner GPT site | Depends on the partner site | Link your account to the partner site. The conversion rate differs per site. |
Move the slider to the amount you want, and HideoutTV shows how many points you need. You must access the funds on the prepaid Visa within 4 months of the date it is issued, and you then have 7 months to use them.
The partner-site route works in every country where HideoutTV is available. You can link many partner sites, mostly GPT sites, but you transfer to one site at a time. Compare their rates first. What readers told me
This review has 29 comments since 2021: 15 from readers and 14 replies from me. These are the three things readers ask about most.
Ads did not load on a laptop, stopped for a while, or never showed in the reader’s country. Ads depend on what advertisers pay for in your location at that moment.
Readers compared partner sites and found that the same points are worth more on some sites than on others.
What your points are worth depends on the site you take them out through. A transfer “on hold” is waiting to be processed.
“One can register on their website page from Nigeria but you get nothing, I mean no adds.”
Mikael: I also very clearly say in the review above that in some countries there will be no or very limited ads.
“So far I have found that TimeBucks will pay you about $1.10 for every 900 hideout points and Lootup will play you something close to that too.”
Mikael: There will not be any sites that pay a lot more than this.
“I exchanged money and it says it would take about 24 hours to arrive, standing on hold what does that mean?”
Mikael: On hold means that the payment is waiting to be processed.
HideoutTV alternatives I have tested

HideoutTV scores 40 out of 100. If you want to earn more for your time, these sites are a better choice.
See the best alternativesHideoutTV FAQ
Is HideoutTV legit?
Yes. It paid me, and I show the payment proof in my video. But the rewards are very low.
Why am I not earning points for videos?
You only earn from the ads in the videos. You must be logged in, ads must load, and you must watch the video to the end. If no ads load, there are no campaigns for your location at the moment.
How do I cash out?
Redeem a prepaid Visa from $5, if it is available in your country, or link a partner GPT site and transfer your points there.
Is there a HideoutTV app?
The app is now only on the Amazon App Store, as PixelPoint.tv. The Android and iOS versions are no longer available, so on a phone you use the mobile-friendly website, Hideout.co.
Which countries can join HideoutTV?
The US, UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the Netherlands, Germany, Norway, Ireland, Denmark, Sweden, Romania, Portugal, Poland, Malta, Latvia, Luxembourg, Lithuania, Italy, Hungary, Croatia, Greece, France, Finland, Spain, Estonia, Cyprus, Bulgaria, Belgium, Austria, India, Ukraine, Uruguay, Brazil, Mexico, Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Colombia, Malaysia, Thailand, Ecuador, Peru, the United Arab Emirates and the Philippines. If your country is not listed, you can ask through Submit a Request on its contact page.
How old do you have to be?
At least 13.
Can I use a VPN on HideoutTV?
No. HideoutTV detects VPNs, accounts used on several devices at the same time, and other cheating, and bans you.
Hideout is not for users in Nigeria as you reviewed. One can register on their website page from Nigeria but you get nothing, I mean no adds.
Thanks, Mike.
I also very clearly say in the review above that in some countries there will be no or very limited ads.
I would love to get your recommendations for the best partner sites that pays you the highest amount of money for your Hideout.tv points?
So far I have found that TimeBucks will pay you about $1.10 for every 900 hideout points and Lootup will play you something close to that too. Which is much better then what GG2U pays you. Which is 80 cents for every 900 hideout points.
Do you know of any other high playing partner site options?
There will not be any sites that pay a lot more than this.
LootUp. It gives the highest exchange rate. They scale your points up, not down or 1:1. Your points on Hideout will be worth way more on LootUp. Both sites are connected to each other, so you can login with the same exact login for each site, vice versa.
I was wondering how many points you need to cash in. What each point means.
Thank you
As explained in the review above, how much points are worth depends on the platform you take them out through.
I’m interested
I explain everything about how to start in the review above.
Hi,
I exchanged money and it says it would take about 24 hours to arrive, standing on hold what does that mean?
On hold means that the payment is waiting to be processed.
Yes, that makes sense.
Not always having advertisers available is a hypothesis I’ve already thought about. The others also make sense, if they are technically possible.
It definitely is technically possible to target certain devices. That is something most advertising options give you the chance to choose.
Well, Mikael, just yesterday, shortly after my message, everything came back the same: all videos have Ads from the same previous company.
Another novelty: from yesterday to today, Prizeslab lowered the conversion rate for Hideout points. It is now in line with the other sites, with the exception of Swagbucks, Ysense and PrizeRebel, which is quite inferior.
Thanks for the update.
Hi, Mikael!
Some questions still about HideouTV:
– Regarding my notebook, even with the Hideout TV support suggestions, the ads still don’t run.
– I installed and tried the App on my smartphone and everything is going well there too. Yesterday and today I added almost 800 points. I didn’t realize that there was any video without advertising. I think everyone (or almost everyone) gave points.
However, although my wife has her own Hideout TV account, if we are both watching videos, the reward is only credited to one of us. There is even a warning that alerts you to that.
– Another thing: of all partner sites, the most advantageous point transfer is to Ysense or Swagbucks (they belong to the same owner – Prodege LLC, which also holds MyPoints and InboxDollars), as the conversion is done on a 1: 1 basis and not 1: 0.7 or 1: 0.65, as with other sites.
Here in Portugal, there is still no option Ysense Watch. Or you get to HideoutTV by clicking on the Ascendmedia Offerwall (owner of HideoutTV), or by logging in directly on the website.
Best regards
TonyC
Thanks for sharing your experiences about this.
You write you also had some questions but from the above I do not see any questions?
Hi, Mikael
There are many GPT review sites, but your work on it is much more credible and I appreciate your sharing of ideas and knowledge.
I hope I’m not taking too much of your time with my opinions and doubts.
I checked some time ago that you created a section with the best sites for Portugal, which you updated last week. Soon I’ll post a comment, because I’m Portuguese.
Yesterday, when I wrote “questions”, I meant “issues”.
I also made a mistake, because I gave you wrong information in my text and I apologize for that. In fact, Ysense is not the site that has the most favorable conversion of HDTV points, it is even the worst option. I discovered this only too late, after I converted them.
Theoretically, it takes 18 points (instead of 9 from other sites) to get € 0.01 Ysense. I should have seen this during the process and didn’t see it), but in practice the conversion turns out to be even lower, as my 780s were converted to € 0.35, instead of € 0.43. I didn’t understand why.
I have also confirmed that Swagbucks and Prizerebel convert points at a rate identical to Ysense, that is, just over half of Earnably, InstaGC, or Grabpoints, for example.
You have a section with only sites that offer video viewing. But what I see is that these sites do not have their own video program. All (or almost, I don’t know yet) refer to Hideout TV. That is, these sites are Hideout TV’s partner sites, such as those mentioned above.
I would like to know if you know other sites that are really identical and alternative to Hideout TV.
Thank you very much
TonyC
I appreciate all your feedback and comments. Great to hear about your experiences.
About sites that offer other video options, then one of the top sites on my list is Timebucks – this also offers Hideout but when you look carefully on the platform, it also offers other video options. I explain this in my full review of it you can check out through the link.
A site that offers you to earn by watching YouTube videos is AdsRePay. In my opinion, it is not a very good site but at least it offers you a different type of videos as a way to earn.
Hope this helps.
Hi, Mikael!
Still on Hideout TV, since Friday I watched many videos, corresponding to 300-400 daily points, always using the smartphone, since on the notebook, as I said, only the info “Loading Ad” and no Ad appeared.
However, since 10 pm yesterday, the Ads disappeared from the videos.
Will the Hideout TV team be able to prevent the App on my smartphone from showing Ads, to prevent me from watching too many videos?
Strangely, today I managed to see 3 videos with Ad on the notebook. But there were only 3. Advertising was from a Portuguese telecommunications company. Until now, the Ads I had seen on the app were all from an international company.
I am increasingly confused by this. I will even try Timebucks and AdsRepay.
One last note: I have been a member of the website PrizesLab (ThinkOpinion’s almost twin brother) for several months, but I had not yet joined Hideout TV through it. Today I entered through it, made the registration requested. I redeemed the points for PrizesLab and found out that this site offers the best conversion rate: 9 points give 1 point in PrizesLab, which corresponds to 0.01 €.
If I get more Hideout TV points, I will redeem them for this site.
Kind Regards
Tony
Thanks for the update and for keep sharing your tests.
It can be a bit confusing when they show ads and when they do not. But it mostly just depends what advertisers are paying for at any given moment. Sometimes there are no advertisers running ads for the target groups you are in and then there will be no ads. And sometimes ads will also be targeted towards just certain devices.
I’m sorry I repeated the same message.
But, in fact, I also have a Hideouttv account.
Sometimes I enter the site directly, logging in, other times I enter through the other partner sites I mentioned.
I also saw your video before, but I stayed the same. I think I will contact Hideoutv support directly.
Thank you very much
Yes, sounds like there might be a technical error with your account then so good idea to contact their support directly.
Let me know how it goes.
Hello, Mikael!
Are you sure that viewing the videos with advertising gives even points ?? !!
I’ve seen mountains of videos and never received any points!
In which area of the site can I see these famous spots?
The only points I have achieved are the 3 points daily and the 25 points that result from the promo codes that I find on facebook.
Best Regards
TonyC
Hi TonyC,
Yes, I am sure. It does not give a lot but it does pay. If you look in the review above, you can find a video. Here I show how I earn and I also show how I take money out of Hideout TV.
If it is still not working for you, there might be a technical error with your account. Or if you, for example, have an ad blocker installed then they can likely not track what you are watching and thereby you cannot earn.
Hope this helps and let me know how it goes.
Hi
Thank you for the speed of your response and for your suggestions.
I don’t have any ad blocker installed and I’ve already redeemed hundreds of points, transferring them to other sites like superpay.me, earnably, grabpoints, thinkopinion … But all these points were obtained in the daily offer and promo codes, as I said.
But after all (sorry for the insistence), in which section of the site can the points gained in viewing the videos be seen?
To earn on HideoutTV you need to create a separate account on Hideout and connect it to the account of the Get-Paid-To site you want to redeem your earned points from. So you will not see any points from Hideout until you have created a separate account there.
I would suggest you watch the video in the review above as I show and explain everything there.
Hope this helps.
Hi, Mikael
Thank you so much for trying to help. Everything in your video is great information, but it’s not new to me.
I have a Hideoutv account, I have already redeemed many points for several partner sites (Earnably, Grabpoints, Superpay.me, Think Opinion and others) and today I have almost 1500 points in my Hideoutv account (registered in the respective rectangle).
I think the problem is that I can’t see the Ads at the beginning of the videos. “Loading Ad” appears, but I don’t see anything, just the video, afterwards.
I have all permissions enabled for the site, including ads. I don’t have any blockers installed.
I don’t understand what’s going on, but I’ve already sent a request to the website support. I’m waiting.
Thanks again.
Tony
If no ads appear, it is simply because there are no ads available in your country at the moment and then you cannot earn. Ads come and go all the time as it depends entirely on how many advertisers currently are willing to pay to have ads shown in your country.
