I joined HappyDot.sg to see if it is worth your time if you live in Singapore. It is legit, and you get a welcome gift when you sign up, but you will not earn much from it. Below is what I found, and which sites I recommend instead.
Legit Singapore survey site, but limited ways to earn
A welcome gift when you join and short surveys about Singapore. Few ways to earn, and only for Singapore citizens and permanent residents.

The short answer
HappyDot.sg is a legit survey site for Singapore residents. You earn points for short surveys about issues in Singapore, and you get a welcome gift when you sign up.
But there are only limited ways to earn, and it is only open to Singapore citizens and permanent residents. You also wait around 3 days before your membership is approved. If you are just in it for the money, there are better survey sites.
- You get a nice sign-up bonus: a $10 voucher
- The site is mobile-friendly and easy to use
- The surveys are about issues related to Singapore
- Surveys do not take long to complete
- It now offers a cash payout via PayNow
- Only for Singapore residents
- Limited earning opportunities
- Long wait period to become a member
- Only a limited number of PayNow redemptions per month
- The referral program does not pay much

Is HappyDot.sg legit and safe?
Yes, HappyDot.sg is a legit survey site that rewards you for taking part in surveys. But it has some glaring limitations. Here is what you should know.
- Limited ways to earn
You earn from surveys and referrals only. The points per survey are not a lot, based on feedback from members, and how much you earn depends on how many survey invites you get.
- You wait before you can earn
HappyDot.sg reviews your registration. It takes around 3 days before you are a full member, so you cannot start earning right after you sign up.
- Only for Singapore citizens and permanent residents
You need a pink or a blue NRIC to register, and you must be at least 15 years old.
- Cash payouts are limited
PayNow is the only cash option, and there is only a limited number of PayNow redemptions per month. Most vouchers expire 3 to 6 months after you receive them.
My takeIn terms of pure earning potential, HappyDot.sg isn’t the ideal survey site to join because of the limited earning opportunities. If you are really into sharing your own opinions on the issues affecting where you live, this can be a good site to join. But if you are purely looking to earn a bit of extra cash, it can only serve as a secondary source.
HappyDot.sg has limited ways to earn. The top survey sites in Singapore give you more chances to earn.

There are 2 ways to earn. Paid surveys are the main one. Tap one to read more.
Paid surveysPoints per survey
When you become a member, new survey invitations are sent to your email, so check your email regularly. You can also see all available surveys when you log in to your member dashboard.
If you do not see any surveys, you have likely finished all the surveys available to you at the moment. New ones appear later. When you finish a survey, you see your total point balance.
If a survey page does not show anything, the deadline may have passed, the survey may have reached its number of respondents, or there may be a technical issue. You can solve the last one with the support team.
Referral program50 or 150 points
Click the Promotions tab at the top of the member dashboard and enter your friends’ names and email addresses. They get an email from the HappyDot Team, and they must sign up through your unique referral link in that email.
You earn 50 points for every friend between the ages of 15 and 54, and 150 points for every friend aged 55 and above. It is easy, but you will not earn much from it.
How much can you make?
It depends on how often you receive survey invites and how well the surveys pay. The more invites you get, the more chances you have to earn points.
Based on feedback from members, the points per survey won’t be a lot. The good thing is that the surveys won’t take too long to complete, so the money/time ratio isn’t that low.
The real value of HappyDot.sg, in my opinion, is what the surveys are about: you share your opinion about issues related to Singapore. But if you are just in it for the money, there are better survey sites out there.
How you get paid
| Method | Minimum | Good to know |
|---|---|---|
| Vouchers and gift cards | 500 points ($10) | Usually sent by email as an e-voucher. Most expire 3 to 6 months after you receive them. |
| PayNow | 500 points ($10) | Only a limited number of redemptions per month |
HappyDot.sg uses a point system: you redeem your points for rewards from its catalog. When I first tested the site, there was no cash option. Now it offers PayNow, so its payout system is relatively versatile.
It can take some time from the date you redeem a reward until it reaches you. If you want more sites with cash rewards, see the top survey sites that pay via PayPal.
Mobile, joining and support
HappyDot.sg has no app, but its site is mobile-friendly. The surveys are not long, so it is easy to use on your phone.
To join, fill out the registration form and click the activation link in the verification email. You then get an email with a link to the profile survey. When you finish it, you choose your welcome gift: a $10 voucher from a store of your choice, sent to you by postal mail. HappyDot.sg then reviews your registration, which takes around 3 days.
For help, use the contact form. HappyDot.sg promises to do its best to reply within 3 working days. If you have not heard back by then, email Enquiry@HappyDot.sg. The FAQ page covers the basics, but it isn’t as comprehensive as you might hope.
