Givling Review – Worth It or Not? (Full Details + Rating)

Givling Rating

If you are not paying off a student or mortgage loan, then you don’t have any reason to use it, in my opinion. The major downside of this app is that there’s no guarantee you will earn anything.

I tested the Givling app to see if playing trivia to pay off your student loan is worth it. It is legit, but it works like a lottery, and you can never withdraw what you win. Below is what I found, and which apps I recommend if you want guaranteed earnings.

Personally Tested Last tested

Legit, but a lottery for loan payments, not a way to earn cash

Trivia and video ads earn Queue Points for a chance to get part of your student or mortgage loan paid. No cash withdrawals.

Good for you ifYou live in the US, you are really good at trivia, and you have a student or mortgage loan to pay off.

The short answer

Givling is legit. The app really rewards you for playing its trivia games. But it does not work like other rewards apps.

You cannot withdraw your earnings. Your Queue Points enter you into funding queues, and if you win, Givling pays part of your student or mortgage loan. There’s no guarantee you will earn anything. It is more of a lottery, in my opinion.

What I like
  • Offers a fun and interesting way to earn rewards
  • The app is user-friendly
  • Can potentially help you pay off loans
  • No pop-up ads, apart from the video ads you choose to watch
What I don’t like
  • Limited earning opportunities
  • Limited payment options: no PayPal, no gift cards
  • You are not guaranteed to earn from it
  • Only available in the US, for ages 18+

My experience with Givling

I installed the Givling app, played the trivia game, watched the video ads and looked at the funding queues. This is what I did myself, and what I did not test.

Is Givling legit and safe?

Yes, Givling is legit. It really rewards you for playing its trivia games. But legit does not mean it is a good way to earn. Here is what you should know.

  • It works like a lottery

There’s no guarantee you will earn money from Givling. Four winners get funded per cycle, one for each queue. You will have to be very good at trivia to earn.

  • You cannot withdraw your winnings

Funding goes toward your student or mortgage loan, not into your pocket. Cash prizes from the trivia game can only buy Givling coins or merchandise, or pay your loan.

  • Extra plays and merchandise cost money

You get two free trivia plays a day. More plays cost Givling coins. Buying merchandise earns Queue Points, but buying a product just for the points is counterproductive, in my opinion.

  • Only for the US

Givling is only available in the US, and you must be at least 18 years old.

My takeIf you are not paying off a student loan or mortgage, you don’t have any reason to use Givling, in my opinion. It is a niche app, and I would only recommend it if you are really good at trivia games. Otherwise, you are better off with apps or sites that offer a guaranteed way of earning.

Givling does not pay out cash. The top sites in your country give you guaranteed ways to earn.

How you earn on Givling

There are 4 ways to earn Givling Queue Points. The trivia game is the main one. Tap one to read more.

Trivia gameQueue Points and prizes

You play as a team of three against another team of three. You independently answer True or False statements within a 10-second time limit. The game is over after three incorrect answers or when there are no more questions. Your score plus your two anonymous teammates’ scores is your team’s score.

The weekly game starts and ends every Wednesday at 3:00 pm Mountain time. Top teams win Queue Points or a trivia funding award, usually around $100 or more. There is also a daily cash prize. After each game, you watch a video ad, then see the Queue Points you earned.

You can play twice a day for free. More plays cost Givling coins.

Video ads2 Queue Points each
Watching video ads on Givling

You can watch 3 video ads a day, but only one per hour. I found this a bit annoying, because I had to keep logging back into the app after a few hours just to watch one video.

Referral program5 Queue Points + 1 coin
Givling referral program

Invite people by email or SMS with your invite code. For each person who registers, you get 5 Queue Points and 1 Givling coin, which buys an extra trivia play.

Buying merchandiseDepends on the price
Givling marketplace

The marketplace sells shirts, jackets, electronic devices and more. The more expensive the item, the more Queue Points you get. Only buy something if you really like it or need it.

How much can you make?

There’s no guarantee you will earn money from Givling. It is more of a lottery, in my opinion, so its earning potential is very low. You will have to be very good at trivia games to earn.

I would only recommend you join if you are really into trivia games and have student or mortgage loans you need help paying off.

How Givling pays out

RewardHow you get itWhat you can do with it
Funding from a queueHave the most Queue Points in a queue when Givling has raised the funding amountGivling pays part of your loan: up to $50,000 for student loans, up to $25,000 for mortgage loans
Trivia funding awardBe on a top team when the weekly countdown hits zeroUsually around $100 or more, toward your loan
Daily and weekly cash prizesWin the trivia gameBuy Givling coins or merchandise, or pay your student loan or mortgage. No withdrawals.

There are four queues, and each has its own mechanics on Givling’s FAQ page. I personally don’t prefer this kind of reward system, since you can’t take out your earnings. If you want to earn cash, see the top sites that pay via PayPal.
