Crypto Idle Miner is a fun game, but you cannot earn crypto from it. I admit I got hooked when I started playing it. You build a crypto mining factory, hire managers and upgrade your rigs, and the game keeps running while you are away.
The game rewards you in HORA tokens. But the HORA token is inactive and unverified, so it has no real-world value, and the app does not let you withdraw or convert your in-game currency to HORA tokens. If you want to earn crypto, your time is better spent elsewhere.

Is Crypto Idle Miner legit and safe?
Crypto Idle Miner is a real game you can download and play. But as a way to earn crypto, it does not work. Here is what you should know.
- You cannot withdraw your rewards
The app does not let you withdraw or convert the in-game currency to HORA tokens. While I was playing, a message said the app would stop HORA withdrawals while it switched to a new network (Binance Smart Chain). More than six months later, when I wrote this review, nothing had changed.
- The HORA token has no real-world value
The HORA token is inactive and unverified. You cannot exchange it for cash or other cryptos. That is probably also why the app does not let you withdraw it.
- The crypto in the game is not real
You mine and trade crypto in the game, but these are not actual cryptocurrencies. They only serve as the in-game currency that lets you progress.
- Lots of video ads
To speed up your progress, you watch video ads for a production boost. It can get quite annoying, but you cannot avoid it if you want to progress faster.
- The referral program is useless for now
You earn 5% of the HORA tokens your referrals earn. As long as the token is inactive and you cannot withdraw, that commission is not worth anything.
My takeCrypto Idle Miner is a fun game to play. I admit I got hooked when I started playing it. Sadly, there is no way to earn crypto from this app anymore, and I am not sure if this will ever change. So I would avoid it if all you are after is earning crypto. If you just want a fun game for your free time, you can give it a try. Just don’t expect to earn from it.

Playing the gameIn-game currency only
The idea is to build a crypto mining factory that passively mines crypto. If you have played other idle games before, this will feel very familiar.
A tutorial teaches you how to increase your mining rate. At first, you do things manually: you set up mining rigs and crypto traders to sell the crypto you mined. Then you hire managers to automate mining and trading. From that point, you can leave the game and check on it from time to time to do upgrades. You need to balance the efficiency of your mining and your trading.
From time to time, you can boost your factory’s production by watching video ads. The boost usually lasts several hours, so you do not have to do this often.
Keep in mind that the crypto you mine in the game is not real. It only serves as the in-game currency that lets you progress.
Referral program5% of HORA tokens
You share your invite link. When someone clicks it, installs the game and plays it, they become your referral. You then earn 5% of the HORA tokens your referral earns.
It is a passive way of earning, but it is pretty much useless at the moment, because the HORA token is inactive and you cannot withdraw it.
How you get paid
The app pays you in HORA tokens, the actual cryptocurrency it uses to reward its members. The problem: the HORA token is inactive and unverified, so it does not have any real-world value. You cannot exchange it for cash or other cryptos.
The app also does not let you withdraw or convert your in-game currency to HORA tokens. In short, your time is not rewarded. You are essentially wasting your time if you keep playing this game and expect to get paid.
