I tested Cashzine, an app that pays you in coins for reading articles on your phone. It is legit, but the rewards are very low. Below is how it works, what you can expect to earn, and which apps I recommend instead.
Legit, but it does not offer a lot for your time
You earn coins for reading articles. The rewards are very low, so it takes hundreds of articles to reach the payout.

The short answer
Cashzine is a legit content-reading app. It does reward you for reading articles, among other things.
But the rewards are very low. One timer rotation pays 50 coins, which is less than a dime, so you have to read hundreds of articles before you reach the payout threshold. I would only use it if you really like to read articles. If you want to earn extra cash, there are plenty of better ways to do it.
- A very easy way to earn rewards
- Pays through PayPal
- A relatively low payout threshold, around $8 to $10
- The app is user-friendly
- Very low rewards
- The app is a bit spammy, with pop-up ads
- Quite a few grammatical errors inside the app
- It does not say which countries it is available in
- Mobile only

Is Cashzine legit and safe?
Yes, Cashzine is a legit content-reading app. But legit does not mean it is worth your time. Here is what you should know before you start.
- Very low rewards
One timer rotation pays 50 coins, which is less than a dime. You have to read hundreds of articles before you reach the threshold, so the low threshold does not tell the whole picture.
- Scrolling without reading costs you coins
The system is designed to detect users who do not actually read. Then the reward per rotation drops from 50 to 45 coins, and it keeps dropping until you earn only 5 coins. If you really read, it goes up, to a maximum of 100 coins.
- A bit spammy
Ads pop up from time to time while you use the app. There are also quite a few grammatical errors, so some things the app says can be hard to understand.
- Unclear where it works
Cashzine does not specify which countries it is available in. The best way to check is to see if the install button is available in your app store.
- Referral rewards need active members
Your referrals must read and earn for several days in a row before you get the bigger referral bonuses. And the value of the coins is really not impressive.
My takeI would only recommend you use this app if you really like to read articles. But if you are looking to earn extra cash, there are plenty of better ways to do it. This app simply doesn’t offer a lot for your time. You will have to invest a lot of time to earn a decent amount.
How you earn on Cashzine
There are 3 ways to earn. Reading articles is the main one. Tap one to read more.
Reading articles50 coins per rotation
When you log in to the app, you see all the articles you can read. Tap an article to open it. A coin icon in the lower left-hand corner is your timer. It starts when you scroll down and stops after a few seconds, so you have to keep scrolling. When the timer completes one rotation, you earn 50 coins.
Do not just scroll without reading. Cashzine detects it and lowers your reward, down to 5 coins per rotation. If you really read, the reward goes up, to a maximum of 100 coins. If you have used BuzzBreak, the system is very similar.
Daily offersSmall bonuses
You can claim a daily login bonus or do other things, like trying out a new app or answering a quiz. You can claim each bonus only once a day. You will not earn a lot of coins this way, but it is a nice extra.
Referral programUp to 9,600 coins
Share your invite link. You receive 6,400 coins when your referral reads an article for the first time, 4,800 more when they earn at least 2,000 coins for 3 days in a row, and 9,600 more when they earn 5,000 coins for 7 days in a row.
If they do not meet these requirements, you still earn a 15% commission on the coins all your referrals earn each day, paid the next day. Even so, the value of the coins makes it not a very good referral program, in my opinion.
How much can you make?
Not much. Cashzine has a low payout threshold, but you still need to spend a considerable amount of time to reach it. One timer rotation pays 50 coins, which is less than a dime, so you have to read hundreds of articles.
Reading the articles is the only way to raise your reward, up to 100 coins per rotation. Scrolling without reading lowers it. Overall, the earning potential is low, and it takes a lot of patience to earn a decent amount.
Payout methods and threshold
| Method | Minimum | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| PayPal | Around $8 to $10, varies by country | Your profile shows the coin conversion rate for your country |
| Other payment methods | Varies by country | Which method you get depends on the country you live in |
You earn coins for everything you do in the app and convert them into cash when you reach the threshold. The threshold, the amount you can withdraw and the coin rate all vary by country.
