CashPlay has closed
The CashPlay app in this review is no longer available for download on Google Play. You cannot join or earn on it now. Other apps by different developers use the same name, so do not confuse them with the app in this review. I keep my review below as a record. The apps I would pick instead are further down.
CashPlay was an Android app that paid you for surveys from partner survey providers. It has now closed. I tested it myself before that and got paid. Below is what I found, and which apps I would pick instead.
CashPlay has closed
CashPlay has closed, so you can no longer earn on it. When it was running, it was legit and paid through PayPal from a very low threshold, but you qualified for few surveys and the rewards were low.

The short answer
CashPlay has closed. The app in this review is no longer available on Google Play, so you can no longer join or earn there. Other apps use the same name, but they are made by different developers.
When it was running, it was legit: I really got paid when I tested it. It paid through PayPal from a very low threshold. But the qualifying rate was lower than on most survey apps, and the rewards were low, so it was not worth your time, in my opinion.
- Low payout threshold
- Paid through PayPal
- CashPlay has closed
- Low qualifying rate compared to other survey apps and sites
- Low rewards
- Your account was bound to one device
- No good way to reach support
My experience with CashPlay
I tested CashPlay myself: I answered surveys in the app, looked at the bonus system and got paid. This is what I did myself, and what I did not test.

Was CashPlay legit and safe?
CashPlay has closed, so you can no longer join or earn on it. When it was running, it was legit, because I really got paid when I tested it. These were the catches.
- It has closed
The CashPlay app in this review is no longer available for download on Google Play. Other apps by different developers use the same name.
- You qualified for few surveys
There was a decent number of surveys, but the qualifying rate was lower than on most survey apps and sites I have tested. The estimated survey times were not quite accurate either.
- Your account was bound to your device
The app did not ask you to register. If the app was uninstalled or you switched to a different phone, you lost all your earnings.
- PayPal only
PayPal was the only payout option, so you needed a verified PayPal account. Where PayPal does not work, it did not make sense to join.
- Hard to reach support
There was no FAQ, help page or contact form in the app. I had to check the app page to find the support email address.
My takeCashPlay has closed, so it is no longer an option. When it was running, it was a legit survey app, but it was still not worth your time because of the low earning potential. See the alternatives below.
How you earned on CashPlay
There was one main way to earn: paid surveys. Tap it to read more.
Paid surveysPoints per survey
CashPlay did not have its own surveys. It partnered with other survey providers and sent you to their platforms.
You logged in to the app and tapped the Take Survey button. First you answered a set of qualifying questions, so the provider could check if you belonged to the group the survey was for. If you qualified, you answered the survey and got points. If not, you moved on to the next one.
The qualifying rate was low when I tested it, so you could not expect to qualify for a lot of surveys. The estimated time was not quite accurate, and some surveys took longer.
Video ad bonusA small bonus
You could claim a bonus by watching a few video ads per day, to increase the rewards you got for surveys. It did not make a big difference to what you could earn, in my opinion.
How much could you make?
Not much. The qualifying rate was low, and CashPlay did not pay that well compared to other survey apps and sites. It took a bit of time and a lot of patience to earn a significant amount from it.
The app itself was easy to use, and you did not see a lot of annoying pop-up ads.
How CashPlay paid
You earned coins for every survey and could convert them to cash through PayPal.
| Method | Minimum | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| PayPal | $0.15 (4,000 coins) | The only payout method. You needed a verified PayPal account. |
That was a very low threshold, so withdrawing was not hard. For more apps and sites with convenient payouts, see the top sites that pay via PayPal.
