BrainBux Review – Legit or Scam? (What to Expect)

BrainBux Rating

In my opinion, BrainBux is a very suspicious PTC site. It seems very appealing at first because of its supposed high rates just for clicking ads. But this alone is something that should make you very suspicious.

I tested BrainBux, a Paid-to-Click (PTC) site that pays more per ad than most. Below is what I found, what it takes to get paid, and which sites I would pick first.

Personally Tested Last tested

High pay per ad, but 100 ads and 10 referrals before you can withdraw

Ads pay up to €0.3, far more than other PTC sites. You need to view 100 ads and get 10 active referrals before you can withdraw.

Good for you ifYou do not mind recruiting 10 active referrals before your first withdrawal.
Skip it ifYou want to be paid without recruiting people first, or you do not want to risk money on upgrades.

The short answer

BrainBux is a PTC site that pays you for clicking ads. It pays much more per ad than other PTC sites. In my opinion, that alone is a reason to be careful.

BrainBux says there is no payout threshold, but you have to view at least 100 paid ads and get 10 active referrals before you can withdraw. Complaints say it then adds more conditions. In my opinion, it is not transparent about what it takes to get paid, and I would pick other PTC sites first.

What I like
  • Supposedly offers a very simple way to earn
  • Available globally
What I don’t like
  • Suspicious pay rate for clicking ads
  • Not transparent about what it takes to get paid
  • You have to invite other people before you can get paid
  • Complaints about extra conditions and poor support
  • Limited earning opportunities for a PTC site
  • Their site is not fully optimized for mobile use

My experience with BrainBux

I signed up, clicked ads, and went through the referral program, the payout conditions, the membership upgrades and the complaints. I also made a video that gives you an inside look. This is what I tested, and what I did not test.

Is BrainBux legit and safe?

BrainBux pays you for clicking ads, but it sets conditions before you can withdraw. Here is what you should know before you join.

  • Conditions before you can withdraw

BrainBux writes everywhere that you can get paid instantly and that there is no payout threshold. In reality, you have to view at least 100 paid ads and get 10 active referrals first. The most common complaint is that even when you meet these conditions, it comes up with another condition before you can withdraw.

  • You must invite people before your first payout

You would have to invite other people before you have even been paid yourself and could check that it is legit. In my opinion, that is an unethical thing to ask of your members.

  • The pay per ad is a red flag

You can earn up to €0.3 for some ads, many times more than most PTC sites pay. You do not even have to view the ad or solve a captcha. Why would anyone pay that much for an ad if nobody has to watch it?

  • You can lose money on upgrades

Upgrades supposedly let you earn more per ad and per referral. You risk losing your money. If you really insist on upgrading, start with a cheaper plan and test slowly whether you can make a profit.

  • Poor support

You can send a support ticket easily, but getting a reply is another matter. If you run into a problem, there is a high chance it will not get resolved.

My takeBrainBux seems very appealing at first because of its supposed high rates just for clicking ads. But its payment process simply is not worth the hassle. You can earn a decent amount from clicking its ads, but all of that is useless if you have to go through hoops just to get paid.

These PTC sites do not make you recruit people before your first payout.

How you earn on BrainBux

There are only 2 ways to earn, fewer than on other PTC sites. Tap one to read more.

Paid adsUp to €0.3
Paid ads on BrainBux with the loading bar

Click an ad and wait until the loading bar completes. The reward is then added to your balance. The loading bar shows on the ads list, not on the ad itself, so you have to jump back and forth to check when you can close the ad. That is not very user-friendly.

Ads with a longer wait time pay more. You do not have to actually view the ad or solve a captcha. That requires less effort, but it should also make you suspicious.

Referral programBy membership level
BrainBux referral program

You earn for every visitor on your referral link who stays on the page for at least 10 seconds, even if they do not sign up. BrainBux detects autosurf and bots. How much you get depends on your membership level.

If a visitor signs up, they become your referral, and you earn a percentage of what they earn, paid by BrainBux. But getting 1,000 quality visitors will not be easy, and if you know how to do that, there are ways to earn a lot more.

How much can you make?

PTC sites do not really have good earning potential, and BrainBux is no different. It even offers fewer earning opportunities than other PTC sites I have tested.

Some ads pay up to €0.3, which is significantly higher than what most PTC sites offer. But whenever a site pays many times more than other sites, you need to become suspicious. Combined with the conditions to get paid, it becomes a site to stay away from, in my opinion.
