I tested AppStation thoroughly and have been paid by it. It is a legit app that pays you to play mobile games, but there are few games, the coins add up slowly, and support rarely replies. Below is my payment proof, how it works, and which apps I recommend instead.
Legit, but a slow and limited way to earn by playing
Coins for playing featured games and answering surveys. PayPal from $10, but only a couple of games and very low earning potential.

The short answer
AppStation is legit. It paid me, and I show the payment proof in my video. You earn coins for playing its featured mobile games and answering surveys, and you cash out through PayPal or gift cards.
But the earning potential is very low. You need 93,188 coins for $10 through PayPal, there were only a couple of featured games when I tested, and surveys are not always available. Support is not very good at getting back to you. There are many better ways to earn by playing.
- Offers a fun way to earn rewards
- The app is user-friendly and not spammy
- Pays through PayPal
- 4,499 coins as a sign-up bonus
- A 25% referral commission for you and your referral

- Low rewards
- Takes a long time to reach the payout threshold
- Not great support
- Android only

Is AppStation legit and safe?
Yes, AppStation is legit. It has paid me. But legit does not mean worth your time. Here is what you should know.
- Very low earning potential
You need 93,188 coins for $10 through PayPal, and you earn around 30 to 70 coins per minute of play, fewer the longer you play one game. Surveys are not always available. Reaching the threshold takes a long time.
- Only a couple of featured games
When I tested it, only a couple of games were featured. This can change over time and depends on your country.
- Open games through My Apps, or you earn nothing
AppStation only tracks your play when you open the game through its My Apps section. If you open the game directly on your phone, you do not earn any rewards.
- Support rarely replies
In my experience, the company behind this app is not very good at getting back to you, and you have to be lucky to get a reply.
My takeIn my opinion, AppStation isn’t a good app to use if you are looking for effective ways to earn some extra cash. There are far better options out there. AppStation doesn’t pay that well, and it doesn’t have a lot of earning opportunities. There aren’t even a lot of games you can play. So, even though it has a relatively low payout threshold, it will still take a lot of time to withdraw your earnings.
How you earn on AppStation
There are 3 ways to earn. The featured games are the main one. Tap one to read more.
Playing featured games30–70 coins a minute
Press “Earn with Apps” to see the featured games. Pick one, install it, then open it through the “My Apps” section in AppStation. If you open the game directly on your phone, you do not earn anything.
You earn around 30 to 70 coins after a minute of play. The longer you play the same game, the fewer coins you earn per minute. App developers pay AppStation to promote their games, so it wants you to try different games.
When I tested it, only a couple of games were featured, so you cannot expect to earn a lot from this. It can vary over time and by country.
Paid surveysNot always available
Press “Earn with Surveys” and answer the profile questions. Available surveys show in a list. Each starts with qualifying questions. If you qualify, you answer the survey and get the coins. If not, you move on to the next one.
It is far from as good as the top survey apps that specialize in paid surveys.
Referral program25% commission
Go to the “Invite” section and press “Invite”. You can invite by Bluetooth or Gmail; Gmail is easiest. When your invitee registers through the link, they become your referral.
You get a 25% commission on what your referral earns from games and surveys, and your referral gets 25% on what you earn. AppStation pays it, so it is not deducted from anyone’s earnings.
How much can you make?
Unfortunately, not much. You need 93,188 coins to withdraw $10 through PayPal, and you earn around 30 to 70 coins per minute of play, fewer the longer you play a game.
You cannot rely on surveys, because they are not always available, and there are not many featured games. So even though the threshold is relatively low, it takes quite a long time to reach it. The earning potential of this app is very low.
Payout methods and minimums
| Method | Minimum | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| PayPal | $10 (93,188 coins) | Paid me; proof in my video |
| Gift cards | $10 | Coins needed differ per gift card |
There is no fixed value per coin. The rate depends on the reward you redeem, which makes it hard to work out what your coins are worth. PayPal is one of the most convenient payout options, in my opinion. For more sites like that, see the top sites that pay via PayPal.
