Is Answerpoints a Scam or Legit? (All Details Revealed)

Answerpoints Rating

Answerpoints isn’t really a great survey site to join. The main reason is because it doesn’t offer a lot of ways to earn. Plus, you can’t really earn cash from it.

Answerpoints rewards people in the UK with points for answering surveys. I tested it to see if it is worth joining. Below is what I found, and which sites I would pick first.

Personally Tested Last tested

Legit, but few surveys and no cash rewards

UK only. Amazon gift cards from 500 points (£5), no cash. Surveys are rare and pay little.

Good for you ifYou live in the UK, want one more survey site, and are fine with Amazon gift cards.
Skip it ifYou want cash, or a site you can earn from regularly.

The short answer

Answerpoints is not a scam. It is a legit survey site that rewards you for completing its surveys.

But it does not offer a lot of ways to earn, and you cannot earn cash from it. The best you can get is an Amazon gift card. There are far better options to earn extra cash.

What I like
  • Offers a simple way to earn rewards
  • The site does a good job of explaining how you can earn
  • Mobile-friendly, and you can resume a survey where you stopped
  • A 50-point welcome bonus
What I don’t like
  • Limited earning opportunities
  • Does not offer cash rewards
  • Surveys pay only 50 to 100 points
  • Only available in the UK

My experience with Answerpoints

I signed up, answered surveys and went through the reward options. This is what I did myself, and what I did not test.

Is Answerpoints legit and safe?

Yes, Answerpoints is legit. It rewards you for answering its surveys. But that does not make it worth joining. Here is what you should know.

  • There are few surveys

During my tests, there were not many surveys available. Surveys are the only way to earn, so with no surveys, you earn nothing. You also have no control over how many invites you get.

  • No cash rewards

You can redeem an Amazon gift card, donate to charity or enter the prize draw. Answerpoints does not offer any cash rewards.

  • The prize draw is not worth it

An entry costs only 50 points, but the prize is a £250 Marks & Spencer gift card, not cash. In my opinion, it is not worth gambling your points on.

  • Finish surveys before they expire

You can stop a survey and continue later, also on another device. Just make sure you finish it before it expires.

My takeIn my opinion, Answerpoints isn’t really a great survey site to join. It doesn’t offer a lot of ways to earn, and you can’t really earn cash from this site. The best thing you can get is an Amazon gift card, which isn’t that bad, but it would still have been better if they offered cash rewards as well. There are simply far better options out there to earn extra cash from.

How you earn on Answerpoints

There is only one way to earn: paid surveys.

Paid surveys50 to 100 points each

You get an email invite for each survey. It tells you how many points you earn and how long the survey takes.

Each survey starts with a few questions about yourself to see if you are the right fit. If you qualify, you take the actual survey, and the points are credited to your account immediately. If you do not qualify, you move on to the next survey, if there is one.

If you cannot finish a survey in one sitting, you can come back later and resume at the exact point where you stopped, even on your phone. Not a lot of survey sites do that.

How much can you make?

Not much. You are at the mercy of the survey availability, and there are not many surveys. They do not pay well either: typically 50 to 100 points per survey, depending on the length. Longer surveys pay more, but they do not come often.

So the earning potential is quite low. It takes a long time to earn enough points to redeem a £5 Amazon gift card.

Reward options and minimum

RewardPoints neededNotes
Amazon gift card500 pointsA £5 gift card
Charity donation500 points£5 to Macmillan Cancer Support
Quarterly prize draw50 points per entryThe prize is a £250 Marks & Spencer gift card

The reward system is simple, but the big drawback is that there are no cash rewards. If you want to earn cash, see the top sites that pay via direct bank transfer.
