Tyr Rewards has closed
The Tyr Rewards app can no longer be found online, which means it has closed. You cannot join or earn on it now. Do not mistake it for Try Rewards: that is a completely different platform. I keep my review below as a record. The sites I would pick instead are further down.
Tyr Rewards was an Android app that paid you points for playing mobile games. It has now closed. I tested it myself before that. Below is what I found, and which sites I would pick instead.

The short answer
Tyr Rewards has closed. The app can no longer be found online, so you can no longer join or earn there. Try Rewards is a different platform.
When it was running, you could really earn rewards for playing its featured mobile games. But the rewards were low for the time it took, most rewards needed a high number of points, and it was Android only. In my opinion, it was not an app worth your time.
- The app was user-friendly
- A decent number of games to play
- No annoying pop-up ads
- Tyr Rewards has closed
- Low rewards
- A high threshold for most rewards
- No iOS version
- The games were not that interesting or fun
- Support only through Discord
My experience with Tyr Rewards
I installed the Tyr Rewards app, signed up with my Google account and went through the games, the rewards and the support options. This is what I did myself, and what I did not test.

Was Tyr Rewards legit and safe?
Tyr Rewards has closed, so you can no longer join or earn on it. When it was running, you could really earn rewards from it. These were the catches.
- It has closed
The app can no longer be found online. Try Rewards is a completely different platform, so do not mistake the two.
- Low rewards for the time
A game paid 50,000 to 200,000 points in total, around $0.5 to $2. Earning the full reward took a long time.
- A high threshold
Most rewards needed a lot of points. You needed at least 1,000,000 points, worth around $10, to redeem a reward, and 5,005,000 points for $50 in Binance credit.
- Several readers report problems
Several readers report points that stayed pending, rejected rewards or banned accounts. Two others report that they were paid without problems.
My takeTyr Rewards has closed, so it is no longer an option. Even when it was running, it was not an app I would spend time on, because of the low rewards and the high thresholds. See the alternatives below.
How you earned on Tyr Rewards
There were two ways to earn points. Tap each one to read more.
Playing mobile gamesSet per game
This was the main way to earn. In the “Offers” section, you saw all the games you could play. The first time you opened the app, you had to allow it to track your data usage, because that is how it tracked your progress in the games.
Each game paid a number of points for reaching certain levels. Some games paid several times, but never more in total than the offer showed, so it was worth checking the levels before you started. You had to install the games on your phone, and you could uninstall them once you had all the rewards.
It looked like you earned high rewards, but it did not pay a lot, and it took a long time to earn the full rewards.
Referral program10% commission
You shared your invite link, and people who installed the app and signed up through it became your referrals. When they played games and earned, you got a 10% commission. It only paid when you invited people who were really interested in earning from it.

How much could you make?
It mostly depended on how much time you put in. There was a decent number of games, so you did not run out of ways to earn. But you did not earn efficiently: the total points from a game usually ranged from 50,000 to 200,000, around $0.5 to $2 per game, and that took a long time.
To redeem the $50 Binance reward, you would have to spend hundreds of hours playing mobile games. In my opinion, the time-to-money ratio was atrocious, and the games were not that interesting either.
How Tyr Rewards paid
You redeemed your points for rewards. The rewards you could choose depended on your country.
| Reward | Points needed | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Binance credit | 5,005,000 points | Worth $50. The closest thing to cash. |
| Game currencies | From 1,000,000 points | For example for Fortnite and PUBG Mobile. 1,000,000 points were worth around $10. |
Most rewards had a high threshold, which was the biggest drawback of Tyr Rewards, in my opinion. For sites with a low payout threshold, see the fastest paying sites.
Could you use it on a desktop?
No. Tyr Rewards was a mobile-only app, and only for Android. There was no iOS version. If you have an iPhone, see the best money making apps for iOS.
The app did not say which countries it was in, but as far as I could tell, it was available more or less worldwide. You signed up with your own login details or your Google account.
What 10 readers told me
This review has 18 comments since March 2023: 10 from readers and 8 replies from me. These are the three things readers write about most.
Readers whose points stayed pending, whose bigger rewards were rejected, or whose account was suspended or banned.
Two readers report that they cashed out without problems and that support helped them.
It depended on the games you played, your country and your time.
“For weeks, I’ve been owed points, filing complaints, nicely at first, but after my 3rd time making same complaint on their discord channel because it had been about a week and points still said pending …”
Mikael: Thanks for sharing your experiences and opinion.
“I’ve never had no issue cashing out to bank or PayPal and I get my PayPal within 1 or 2 minutes”
Mikael: Personally, my point with the review above is just that there are many better apps if you want to earn like this and I prefer only using the ones that pay you the most and give the best experience and Tyr Rewards is not one of those, in my opinion.
“I have one question it’s possible to get 50$ playing games in on week?”
Mikael: It depends what games you play, the country you live in, and how much time you put into it.

I have one question it’s possible to get 50$ playing games in on week? Or it’s less or more? Tankyou
It depends what games you play, the country you live in, and how much time you put into it.
Personally I haven’t had a problem. Yesterday I had an issue getting a $50 payout and it was resolved within 8 hours. I’ve cashed out approximately $170 since installing it six months ago. They have an online and in-game FAQ page, which isn’t bad, plus their AI will answer basic questions. If you still have a question/problem, like I did, submit a tickets and they get back reasonably fast.
Thanks for sharing your experiences.
Their app has went straight to being a scam. They claim to pay decent but then for the bigger rewards they always reject your ticket. Contact support and they say not out problem, basically. They are truly crap.
Thanks for sharing your experiences.
Idk some of yall may be doing things you should not on the app or have played game on another app already it clearly does state new users only I’ve had the app for a while and yes sometimes they’re is issues like the points but with all honestly all I do is reach out to them and explain the issue and they will go and approve/add my points I’ve never had no issue cashing out to bank or PayPal and I get my PayPal within 1 or 2 minutes and I’ve been able to cash out so far 120 and have gotten an additional 50 for the referrals as well though those take a few says to be credited other than that like I said yall don’t something wrong or using VPN or something cuz cashing it is fast and easy and quick most games pay great and don’t take long either of you know what to do tyrrewards is 1 of the best alongside scrambly

Thanks for sharing your experiences.
Não entendo o motivo da suspensão das contas quando nós temos algo junto e depois não deixam entrar
You need to ask their support about this. As I mention in the review above, it is not really a platform I recommend as a way to earn.
Ya. For anyone else interested in Tyr Rewards, just don’t waste your time. For weeks, I’ve been owed points, filing complaints, nicely at first, but after my 3rd time making same complaint on their discord channel because it had been about a week and points still said pending and that when i go to report it, it just says “we know what we are doing” and I said it’s been a week so apparently not… they kicked me from support channel, been over 2 weeks, still says pending, and they won’t respond to me or my 1 star review. BS! I spend so many hours on those and now they won’t give me my points so that I can cash out or even acknowledge that I exist. Don’t believe me? There’s countless 1 star reviews of people having same issues with them. Waste of time and horrible unprofessional ‘customer support’, if you can even call it that. The whole discord channel before I got kicked, was just people complaining about the same issues and they just kept telling everyone to stop posting that issue because it wasn’t on their end…really? Because almost everyone else on there was not receiving credited tracking or even the points that were confirmed so…sounds like it’s on their end to me. Sorry for my rant. I’m so sick of scammers and how creative they keep getting.
Thanks for sharing your experiences and opinion.
