Is TapCent Legit or a Scam? (Real User Review)

TapCent Rating

TapCent is not an app worth your time. The main reason I say this is because the earning potential is very low. It will take quite a long time before you will be able to earn a decent amount from it.

TapCent claims to be the highest-paying app, so I tested it as soon as I found it. It is not. Below is what I found, what readers report, and which apps I would pick first.

Not worth your time: very low rewards and a $25 threshold

Android only. Very low rewards, few surveys, and a $25 threshold that takes a very long time to reach.

Good for you ifYou only want to try a few Android games.

The short answer

TapCent rewards you for answering surveys and playing its featured mobile games. It claims to be the highest-paying app, but the rewards it offers are very low, and there are very few earning opportunities for a GPT app.

The $25 threshold takes a very long time to reach, and several readers report that they could not withdraw when they did. In my opinion, TapCent is not an app worth your time.

What I like
  • Offers payment via PayPal
  • Available worldwide, as far as I can gather
  • Games still count when you open them from your phone’s menu
  • FAQ page and a contact form in the app
What I don’t like
  • Very low rewards
  • Limited earning opportunities
  • Only available for Android devices
  • $25 threshold in my test
  • A video ad of up to a minute after every game level
  • Several readers report they could not withdraw

My experience with TapCent

I installed TapCent, tried the surveys and played the featured games for almost an hour. This is what I did, and what I did not test.

Is TapCent legit and safe?

TapCent is a real app that gives you coins for surveys and games. Several readers report they could not withdraw, and I did not get to a payout myself. Here is what you should know.

  • Readers report blocked withdrawals

Readers report that the withdrawal screen turned grey when they reached the withdrawal limit, and that they could not redeem any rewards after a year. None of the readers who commented wrote that they were paid.

  • Game rewards not credited

A reader reports that game rewards were not credited to their account. Another completed all levels and asked for a new game.

  • A high threshold for very low rewards

The threshold was $25 for me. After almost an hour of playing games, I had earned very little, so it takes a very long time to reach a payout.

  • A video ad after every level

In the featured games, you have to watch a video ad of up to a minute after every level. Sometimes the ad takes longer than the level.

  • Android only

The app is only available for Android devices. If you use an iPhone, this app is not for you.

My takeIn my opinion, TapCent is not an app worth your time. The main reason is that the earning potential is very low. It takes quite a long time before you can earn a decent amount from it. You are better off spending your time on apps or sites with a better earning potential.

How you earn on TapCent

There are 3 ways to earn. Playing games is the one you can do most often. Tap one to read more.

Playing gamesVery low
Featured games on TapCent

When you log in, you see all the games you can play. Install one, then open it from TapCent or straight from your phone’s menu. Unlike other apps, TapCent still tracks the game when you open it from your menu. You earn coins every time you finish a level.

The annoying part is that you have to watch a video ad of up to a minute after every level. Sometimes the ad takes longer than the level, so it is a waste of time, in my opinion.

Paid surveysHigher, but rare
Paid surveys on TapCent

TapCent does not have its own surveys. It works with a couple of survey routers. Complete your profile first, then answer the qualifying questions for each survey.

The surveys depend on your location. When I tested the app, there were not a lot of surveys, and I failed to qualify for all of them. Do not expect to answer surveys regularly.

Referral program4,500 coins

Go to the Earnings section, press “Invite” and then “Share Invitation Link”. You get 4,500 coins when someone installs the app through your link and registers. TapCent is not an app I would recommend to my friends, though.

How much can you make?

Very little. TapCent offers very few earning opportunities for a GPT app, and the rewards are very low. After almost an hour of playing games, I had earned very little.

The surveys pay more, but they are few and far between. You would have to spend a lot of hours playing games to reach the $25 threshold, which is not a good use of your time. And several readers report that they could not withdraw once they got there.

Payout methods and minimums

MethodMinimumNotes
PayPal$25 in my testOptions and threshold depend on your location
Direct bank transfer$25 in my testOptions and threshold depend on your location

You earn coins and exchange them for cash. A $25 threshold is quite high, and it is a major downside of TapCent. If you want apps or sites with a low payout threshold, see the fastest paying sites.
